What were the shootings like [in ‘The Hunt’]?

Mads Mikkelsen: Very intense. Sometimes because of the dark script and the heavy atmosphere I was depressed. Lucas suffered intimidation, humiliation, violence. But at the end of the day I take nothing with me. All actors who claim otherwise tell nonsense. (Laughs.) When you come to the end of dramatic scene it’s a relieve. I have no problem to cry. Sometimes it’s even easier than laughing. With Thomas we decided not to tell my partners everything, for them to be surprised of my reactions. One of the most dramatic scenes takes place in a church. I was sobbing for eight hours. And I could go on as I was in my bubble.

* Bertie mostly spent his school days at Eton and Oxford, but there was that exchange program where he spent three months in Paris

* Imagine his relief and surprise when Sir Roderick Glossop gives him a referral to a new psychiatrist and it turns out to be Hannibal “Toothy” Lecter, his old school chum from that season abroad * Toothy is, in fact, the only one of his old school chums that his man Jeeves actually approves of, and Bertie often approaches him for advice when Jeeves is off taming the mighty mackeral, or whatever it is one does on fishing trips * “Piggy” Verger is not someone with whom Bertie would associate by choice, and in fact tries to avoid doing so whenever possible, but he’s a friend of Oofy’s, so it’s occasionally unavoidable * Worse still, though, is the fact that he’s terrified he’s going to end up engaged to Piggy’s sister. Her being a lesbian isn’t the slightest bit comforting; his being gay hasn’t stopped Florence Cray or Madeline Bassett, after all. * He meets that charming Graham fellow after a mixup with the schedules (oh, all right, he ducked into Toothy’s office to avoid Piggy’s sister, who he spotted outside, and they met in the waiting room). Must remember to introduce him to Jeeves; they can talk fish and trade jokes about knowing where the bodies are buried, which they both seem prone to making * Must also ask Jeeves one day why Toothy’s wardrobe never gets that look of cold disapproval. He really should ask which tailor Toothy uses; he has some absolutely spiffing ties
