I like that at the end You didn't try to convince us that Joe was redeemed because of love. It showed us that a psycho stalker abuser will never be redeemed. There's no changing him or rehabilitating him, even with a girl that "gets his darkness" and still loves him, happy family and pretty house, he will always come for more victims.
