Alright fuck this.
I'm fucking done with this franchise.
No single event can be laid to blame here, it's a slow build up of everything resulting in this. But I am fucking done with Fate and Type-Moon as a whole.
Can't tolerate being here anymore, whole thing is rotten to the core. F/GO may be the microcosm of all this, but it's hardly as if it's issues are exclusive to it, they can be found everywhere else, even before F/GO was released. Not that it even matters due to how inseparable it is from the rest of the franchise.
Whatever beauty it might've held is now irrecoverably tainted and insisting otherwise is just blindness. None of this exists in a vacuum.
I'm out, fuck this franchise and it's adherents.
Hope it gets forgotten and regulated to the historical archives, unloved.

Honestly I don't think this summer event is going to amount to much.
We have the literal entirety of the LB6 Cast + Suzuka + Chloe. That's a lot of characters to try and focus on in a limited seasonal event.
That plus obligatory callbacks to last summer's characters means that either we're going to bouncing all over the place giving each new Summer Servant nothing more than a single 4 arrow node of plot relevance or this Summer Event is going to be more content packed than the entirety of an new story chapter.
So really I see some basic character moments and nothing deeper at all that gives it some substance.
And sure, it's a seasonal Summer event, you don't really need much more than girls in swimsuits and summer fun. But given FGO has had some really good Summer events in the past with actual story, it comes off as a downgrade.
