Reunited
On the outer rings of the city, the lanterns burned low. Sooner or later, someone would come around and refill them, offering the people of Stormwind some comfort in the night. It was usually a side of town that bolstered all kinds of life despite the hour. Even though it was late, people could still be spotted in the streets or hanging around the loud taverns, bawdy with laughter and music. Still one did not want to linger if they could help it. The guards had posts all around, sure, but pickpockets and other dark terrors creeped in the alleyways.
A cloaked figure walked hurriedly down the road, steering clear of the few night owls if he could help it. He was careful to keep the hood up over his features and his face turned down. Some people still didn't react kindly to half-elves. Nevertheless, if someone were to catch a glimpse of his face, they'd probably think him a beggar with the mats in his hair and beard and a smell that was not pleasant to one’s nostrils.
Teneas passed by a guard, giving the man a curt nod. The armored watcher didn't react besides keeping his eyes on the moving man in silence. He could feel the steely gaze cut through him, a warning to hurry and get to where he was going. It wasn't far and he’d be at the tiny home he shared with his mother once.
He turned down the next street. Down at the end, he saw the familiar little home, with two big barrels on either side of the step with purple pansy and a dark hunter green painted on the window shutters. It still looked lived in and well-kept at least. He paused, wondering if this was really the right thing.
In a frantic battle in his head, he would walk down a few steps and then turn back around with an inaudible yell. His stomach was in knots. He was sure at least an hour had passed by the time he was climbing on the steps and found himself knocking on the door.
Silence. It seemed to drag on forever. He knocked again. Someone yelled from the inside, they had clearly been rudely awoken in the middle of the night. A light turned on and dimly lit up the window. Some shuffling came from behind the door, what he assumed was at least 3 different locks being undone and then the door opened a crack.
He would have barely recognized her if he passed her on the streets. She had aged immensely since he last saw her. Her tan skin looked like a leather mask on her gaunt face, wrinkles at the corner of her eyes and forehead. Her once beautiful black hair was now more grey than anything and hung in a heavy braid over her shoulder. Despite her age, her thin lips and hawk eyes glared out at him.
“Well? What is it? Or are you so daft between the ears you've forgot what it is you go knocking on doors in the middle of the night for?”
Teneas kept his face as calm as he could. His hands, a subtle shake he hoped the elder didn't notice, pulled back his hood. His own dark eyes met hers, which were now beginning to show the first signs of recognition and shock.
“C’mon, Ma. Is that any way to greet your son?”
Caralu promptly slammed the door in his face in response.

What do you think about paladins using necromancy as a last resort to ressurect a close friend or ally, or maybe as a means of a last stand?
Cowards who violate the bodies and souls of their comrades and their convictions for the sake of a few moments of living longer. How you win or lose is more important than victory at any cost.

Day 6
Although Teneas would never admit it, he missed An’rel. At the moment, he laid on his cot studying the ceiling. Each little crack split into smaller ones like a tree root system. If she was here, she probably would have compared the tiniest of the cracks to his manhood.
Her bitter mouth and magic tricks were a thorn in his side most days. But she was a good friend and she had offered him something no one had before in his past. A job. A reliable, good paying job that he had gone and probably ruined.

Day 5 - Home
Four days had passed before the man ate. Four days of nothing but laying in the bunk, waiting for someone he knew to come spring him out of his new home. The first day he was too sore to move. The second, he was a form of protest. By the onset of the third day, he wanted to eat his own fingers but he refused to give in. If he accepted the food, he knew this was his home. The fourth day, he ate.

Day 4
A few hours had past before he stirred. Teneas had woken, face down on the dirt and grime covered floor. His face was in terrible shape. His nose was probably broken, his lip busted and his left eye swollen almost completely shut.
He laid now in a cot that was attached low to the ground. No mattress, a thin pillow and an even thinner blanket was all he was allowed. He supposed he was lucky enough still.

100 Days of Development, Day 4
Tumblr media
Lyrelark let out a big sigh, and held one hand behind his back. “You know, dearest sister, I do love your visits.”
The orange-haired elf woman turned from her position on the couch and, with the most deadpan expression, asked. “But…?”
He held that hand out now, and dropped a pair of underwear on her head. “You leave everything everywhere.” Immediately after, he turned to the sink and started to wash his hands.
“Boo,” Cress dropped the underwear back on the floor and sat up. “You love me and you know it.”
“I prefer Petrelia,” Lyrelark said quietly. Immediately he was hit with a flying pair of panties on the back, and it made him visibly shudder. “Knock it off!”
Cress snorted and laid back down, then waved him away. “Go back to writing like the nerd you are.”
On his way back through, Lyrelark returned the vile garments to his sister… and wiped his wet hands all over her face. “Thanks for the topic idea, dork.”
Before she could retaliate with the charging fireball, however, he was up the stairs and at his writing desk.

Day 3 100 Days of Writing
“Well,” the long blonde hair man softly spoke into his notepad. His quill made scratchy noises, undicating he would need more ink soon. “Judging my your short ears and stocky build, I could almost guarantee you have no family worth noting and therefore no reason to even bother posting a bail.”

100 days of writing day 2
“Date of birth?” The small gaurd dipped his quill into the little pot of ink. Teneas warily eyed the bigger gaurd in the corner. The massive man was currently palming the knuckles of his opposite hand, which really looked like a ham hock if you were to ask Teneas.

100 Days of Character Development
To be frank, I cannot even recall where this one came from so if this was yours, feel free to message me for proper credit. But! Continuing on for now.
In wanting to fine tune established characters of mine and flesh out newer ones, I pulled this development list back out of my drives. It’s slow to go, yet poses quite the comprehensive gauntlet of questions to ponder without overwhelming yourself all at once. Plus, it’s from the character’s perspective primarily to help get oneself into their headspace in the process.
Posting the questions beneath the cut! Have at if you’re interested!

1. What is your full name?
Teneas frowned back at the guard who asked the question. Instead, he tried to kick his mud-caked boots on the table and lean back, despite the bindings that had his strapped to the chair. He began to work his tongue over a kernel stuck between his teeth.

I really don't like to use face claims but this one is too perfect. So here's Kannandra's face claim even though shes still a little cubbier than Felicity.
