THE TABLE IN FRONT OF her had different fabrics of varying hues of pink, with aphrodite picking up each one and rubbing it between her thumb and index finger before placing it back down. “ this one is scratchy, this one is ugly … these two, ” she mumbled to herself, picking up two of the swatches before holding them out to the other. “ which one feels the softest to you ? we need some new towels at the spa. ”

MINTHE’S GAZE FLICKED FROM THE article to hades to settle on him for a moment before returning to the article. “ you know, it says here that it could’ve been a bad case of the scabies, ” she voiced before taking a sip of her coffee, flicking to another page. a stupid rumor for someone to have started, but amusing nonetheless. there was a moment of silence as she read before closing the paper and placing it down onto the table. “ want a glass ? some ice maybe ? ”

it wasn’t often hades wished he had different powers but seeing everyone holding a magazine with zeus’ name on it just made the god furious and wished to put all the pages up in flames . hades put down the whiskey but shoot his head , taking off the top and throwing his head back . a large gulp rolling down his throat .

“ that is not funny minthe , ” hades mumbled , trying to take the magazine away from the other .

MINTHE HAD ALWAYS BEEN ENTIRELY too nosey for her own good. the news about zeus had been a shocker to everyone, but unlike others, she had a newspaper propped up in front of her nose, a cup of coffee in the other, and scanning for anything that could give a little hint as to what had happened. “ damn. that’s crazy, ” she mumbled under her breath, before turning the page. there was a brief look up when she felt another’s presence before she went back to scanning the page in front of her. “ do you want to sit down ? ”

hades had been pulled in . . . far too many directions since the death of his brother , and king of the gods . it was another headache he didn’t wish to entertian . he was already dealing with the crow club , his wife and his people . it the god could get grey hair he was sure he’d have many strains by now .

he had gotten up , getting a bottle of whiskey and returned to his assistant . “ yes , ” he grumbled , sitting down across from her .

PART TWO - SHOW YOUR WEAKNESS

outside of the underworld they can scarcely use his powers

he cannot manipulate in the upperworld

he cannot tell a soul whether in the upper or underworld where their loved ones are in the underworld

everyone has a beginning , but when you’re as old as time you kinda just forget and hades has 100% forgotten a lot of his childhood. so like to him he just kinda spawned you know ?

imagine hades just walking out of some shadows like here i am bitch

a very thoughtful and man of few words

always within the shadows, listening and watching

the crow’s nest is very dear and near to hades’ heart. a place where one can dance, drink and forget. but hades has a private room overlooking the floor where one can play cards, still drink and socialize with the elite but what’s more is that this is where hades sees mortals and the divine alike to see and hear from those in need. but in return they must do something for hades. its a bargain, and if they lose well, they get nothing.

hades has always been the suffering in silence type. he looks back on the younger years, wondering why the fuck he was such an idiot and full of such rage. picking fights, too many vices.

now he lives a simpler life, days in the upperworld and nights in the underworld, taking care of the souls within his realm
