the fun thing about booker’s flashback to the safehouse getting attacked is that joe is shown closest to the door right before the mercenaries kick the door in, but he wasnt the one who got hit by the grenade; booker was.
which means that joe, in the like.. MAXIMUM 3 seconds between hearing the door get kicked in and the grenade getting thrown, moved completely out of range– so when he stands up in the third gif, that’s not him getting up to stand his ground w/ book or going to attack the intruders, thats him getting up so he can run full pelt towards nicky

Hey, remember like 10 years ago when many of us were in our teens and twenties? Remember how there were all those news articles making fun of “millennials and their avocado toast,” that they didn’t know certain skills that had stopped being taught in school, that they were ruining the economy by killing various industries?
Remember how we rightfully said that was bullshit and we would be the generation to end it, that we would be nice to the generation after us?
I’ve seen a couple posts shitting on gen alpha kids. Don’t do that. Remember that they’ve already been through climate disasters, political unrest, and a global pandemic in their young lives. Talk to them. If they’re being rude, it’s probably because they’re struggling, not because they’re evil. Treat them as we wanted to be treated when we were their age. Children are people.

It is very important to me that The Old Guard's immortals aren't alive in order to save specific preordained individuals who are fated to change the world, but that their undirected acts of saving people, in general, leads generations down the line to the world then changing. Because people, plural, humanity, in general, can be well worth saving.
