the house is more than takeshi could have ever dreamed of really. spacious, kinda has an artsy feel to it and it’s far enough away that they can just.... start fresh, yanno? it’s practically perfect in every sense of the word -- mj seems set on it and takeshi? well, there’s only one fault he can find with it and that’s location. it’s so far from takeo and that’s what takeshi’s most worried about. they’ve lived around the corner from each other since they got their own apartments, and before that, they’d barely been away from each other for longer than a week. takeo doesn’t have a car -- and the public transport system out here is horrible -- how would they ever see each other?

would they even get to see each other as often as they’d like?

takeshi rubs the back of his neck, ready to tell mj that maybe they should keep looking. there’s gonna be other houses, better houses, that they’ll love just as much -- if not more. and they’ll be closer to takeo! but oh, as soon as he opens his mouth to say something, turns his head to look at mj the words just won’t come out. the smile on mj’s face, the way he looks totally in love with this place...

takeshi can’t say no to that -- not now, not ever.

and hey -- maybe moving this far out will finally convince takeo to get his damn license! then they can see each other whenever the fuck they want!

it’s a lot of responsibility to put on someone, yanno? like just knowing that mj has that much trust in him, trusts him not to do anything stupid -- to hurt him in any way?

of course, it’s not like takeshi would ever do anything, fuckin’ aaaaaaaanything to hurt mj! nah! no way! he could never! but there’s something about hearing those words that makes it feel like he’s got the weight of the world on his shoulders, yeah? because he’s let people down before and it’s never ended well. he’s hurt people that he’d never meant to hurt and takeshi just doesn’t wanna add mj to that list of people, fuckin’ refuses to. he’ll do whatever it takes to be better for mj, for himself, for the both of them.

if mj wants this as much as he says he does then damn it, takeshi’s gonna fuckin’ love him until there’s no more love to give -- and then he’s gonna love him a little more!

he sniffles. 

takeshi reaches to wipes those few stray tears from his face -- mj catching his hand on the way back down. he presses their joined hands against his chest and in that moment, takeshi feels just that little bit better. 

it’s such a simple gesture, one that shouldn’t have such a great impact on him -- and yet it does. maybe it’s just because it’s mj that’s doing it and not the action itself, or maybe it’s the look mj gives him when their eyes finally meet that has his heart thumping against his chest. mj’s clearly worried, but there’s this overwhelming adoration for takeshi behind those eyes of his and it’s enough to warm takeshi’s heart. it’s enough to make him wonder just how he got so lucky, yanno? what the fuck did he do to deserve such a caring, loving and -- fuck, if he keeps this train of thought up he’s gonna start crying all over again for a different reason!

the words make takeshi chuckle, that smile that mj wants so badly starting to peak through and as soon as mj spots it he makes note to point it out and that just makes takeshi smile more.

“ m’ okay, m’okay-- “ his voice is hoarse but even through that, he sounds happier. takeshi shifts, lets go of mj’s hand so that he can sling his arms around mj’s shoulders and pull him in tight. his face buried in against the crook of mj’s neck, a deep inhale as mj’s arms wind themselves around takeshi and oh -- he’s home. 

everything is okay now.

the words shouldn’t affect him as much as they do -- but for as much as takeo likes to think he has complete control over himself, over his own emotions, that’s not entirely the case. 

uncomfortable -- he feels uncomfortable, feels himself shifting in his seat, unable to meet jirou’s gaze, unable to say anything in return. he should say something though, anything at all to get rid of the awkward silence that’s come over them, that takeo can feel suffocating him.

"Yeon-in," MJ muttered lowly, a soft smile tweaking the corners of his lips as hands ran through smooth hair, nose brushing against Takeshi's forehead. He was sleeping and it was early in the morning, but in the peacefulness of it all, MJ couldn't stop himself and lips were soon to press to his skin. "You're too cute..."

fingers twitch as takeshi is slowly roused from sleep, a groan -- though it’s soft, barely audible even in the quiet room. he shifts, scrunching his face as lips press against his skin -- even so, takeshi finds himself pressing himself closer to the other’s touch -- a constant need to be close, to feel the comfort that comes with having mj near. 

bleary eyes open. it’s still dark out and takeshi doesn’t dare ask what time it is. he’s not sure he wants to know if he’s being honest with himself. all that’s on takeshi’s mind right now is falling straight back to sleep, preferably curled into mj’s side -- safe and sound and loved. 

there’s nowhere else he’d rather be.

“ mm, yeon-in... 寝ましょう. “ the words are mumbled softly, takeshi turning to lay on his side, head rested upon mj’s chest -- only staying there for a moment before a tired kiss meant for mj’s lips lands upon his chin, takeshi muttering something about giving him a proper kiss later on in the morning.
