I am trying to write a Clerith family story. Honestly, I’m not sure how it’s going. Somewhere between eh to oh god this is awful.

We can feel his gentleness and sadness towards Aerith.

I’ve never read a Yuffentine story.

I wonder if there is one I should start with?

I’d sincerely appreciate it if you would stop sending me antagonizing mail bordering on hate. I am assuming this is a tactic of yours to get me to join the LTD. Do not get me wrong, I’m a proud and unconditional lover of Clerith and Aerith as a character, but the LTD is something I have no interest in now or ever. I ship what I want. You ship what you want. Wonder who she’s texting…. Personally, I am tired of Aerith’s classic outfit. I hope Square Enix decides to update her with a new DLC outfit in the remake- hopefully something modern and not another crazy twist on princess clothing. At this point, Aerith might as well be a part of the Square Enix princess cast ~_~  On the other hand, we got Cloud’s g-bike outfit, which I adore more than any of his other outfits! I wish they rendered it….. Edit: Cloud does not look old enough to drink alcohol o_o;….goddamnit.

Sometimes I feel very silly when I get emotional over Clerith. My mother tells me I’m “hyper emotional” anyways. I swear I think she hates Final Fantasy VII because either it makes me talk non-stop to her about things she couldn’t care less about, or it makes me bawl. There is really no ‘mild’ or ‘medium’ setting for my FFVII and Clerith love. 

I’m sort of glad there isn’t, though. I can’t think of anything else in pop culture or media in general that gives me such amazing highs and such sullen lows. 

It’s amazing, really. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Most fans will agree that this song is tragic for the star-crossed lovers, but it also has a very profound sense of triumph, happiness and hope. Triumph because Aerith’s death is what saves the planet, thus giving Cloud the chance for redemption. Hope because through her death, their eternity together is secured. Because although they are separated in life, their love defies the stars and no matter how many years pass by, Cloud will find her in their Promised Land at the end of his life, just like the planet promised him, and they will be together once more. And finally, happiness because they are each other’s promised land.  I only hope that when (and if) we ever get to see them reunite in their Promised Land, that we get to see it with this song playing in the background, at this exact moment. I just want this song to become something happy finally.
