Many Transgender people have trouble with school. Many have families who cut them off or face very hateful people who deny them help/job so they can make their dreams come true. As kids we all have a goal and we grow up still wanting to do something with our lives to make a impact to leave a print on the world saying 'I did something with my life' but sometimes the world turns it back on us. Saying we don't matter because we don't accept the body we were born in but this scholarship sees the potential we have. The things we can do and help us get a education. Trans people have many problems from dysphoria to discrimination, lots just give up because people don't only see us as sick when we aren't. We just want to be happy and live as we are. We want to be teachers to show younger LBGTQ members that we are more than just our gender identity. The world is changing and we can be a part of it. This scholarship is proving that. We are the change! The BLM movement, The 'His name is Alex' trend, and the Say Their Name purpose. All these who we as a society are growing. More people are coming out, more are being defended, more are being helped because of amazing people who are standing up to hate. Don't let the world get you down and just give up, Stand and say "Im human too" because we are! We want to show that we want to contribute to the world. Be teachers, doctors, and even officers. With scholarships like these; We can do it! We can prove to the world who we can be if they give us a chance. We can help each other out and prove to those who turn their back and look down at us that we are more. We are better than the hateful words pointed at us. We are human who want to follow our dreams, we all have one. Im so happy that there are people out there that are willing to help out transgender people.
