6 months. It had been 6 months since Grayson told Y/N he loved her back. It had been 6 months of rotating between whose place the two of them slept at, staying up into the wee hours of the morning, limbs entangled and hot from making love.
Grayson was happy. He wasn’t just taking life day by day anymore. He was truly and genuinely happy, and he found himself smiling so often that his cheeks were sore most of the time. He learned his lesson. Love couldn’t be measured by a number of years. Having a history with someone didn’t make them his soulmate.
“Happy birthday Mr. President,” Y/N spoke in a sultry voice, mimicking Marilyn Monroe’s iconic 1962 performance for President Kennedy. She showered Grayson in kisses along his cheeks and his neck, lying naked on top of him as he hummed, half asleep with the sun shining through the curtains and hitting his eyes.
