A concept I enjoy thinking about is the possibility of an inevitable time period divide, how Ciel will always be a Victorian boy and Violet a modern day girl.

Like in a modern au, Ciel would still appreciate the Victorian aesthetic, and take an overall interest in that particular time period. Violet would only have the typical school knowledge on all things Victorian era, but would grow more interested in it because Ciel likes it and has a hell of a lot more knowledge on it. And she’d appreciate the aesthetics as well, while also filling Ciel in on the silly things in our modern day world.

Especially when it comes to their behavior in their relationship. Violet wouldn’t be particularly used to constant chivalry and fancy vocabulary, but it’s a normal thing to Ciel because he was influenced (and influenced himself) to do that. And dammit she loves it.

And oh if Ciel travels with her to different places in the world, showing her buildings that have the old extremely detailed architecture like churches or libraries. And they’d compare it to how modern day buildings look.

I definitely see them visiting museums as well.

Just the thought that they’d both still appreciate each other’s “time periods” makes me swoon idk.
