Hot takes? I fucking hate Jayfeather, Breezepelt, Tree, Rootspring, Firestar, Fernsong, Thornclaw, Star Flower, Finch Song, Frogleap, and Alderheart. They evoke rage in me.

I *like* Tigerheart, Russetfur, Hawkwing, Sagewhisker, Lizardstripe, Pinestar, Nightcloud, Crowfeather, Curlfeather, Splashtail, Mudclaw, Ivypool, Dawnpelt, Berryheart, Smoke, and Heathertail. I also like Clear Sky and Onestar but mainly in *concept* rather than execution—could’ve been a great morally-impure characters had the Erin’s not gone back and forth on what they wanted their arcs to be. I hate that they didn’t actually face consequences, that sucks… I love morally gray / redeemed characters, but they NEED to actually learn from their actions to earn a redemption arc to begin with.

Haven't read Onestar'a confession. I'll make my own interesting sibling dynamics, what if Darktail considers Heathertail his last real kin and is desperately trying to connect with her bc he feels like the very code and father that rejected his existence has been manipulating her into following the clans xenophobic, war driven lifestyle. So he ruins the clans by turning their own code and its flaws against them, as a sort of "Look at this Heathertail. Look at how terrible your life is. Everything you believe in is flawed. They've raised you this way, but I can save you." trying to convince her to join him in his goal to end the clans.
