Christoph hadn’t done it on purpose. He’d just walked in, turned to look at the fantastic murals on the wall of this apparently abandoned temple, knocked something over with his massive horse body (which was not, unfortunately, a rare occurrence), and started a chain of events that apparently added the last few touches to what seemed to be an otherwise-complete summoning ritual.
That being, a certain amount of fire, various herbs in said fire, and what may or may not have been blood splashed on a sigil that had been inscribed on the floor who knows how long ago.
Still, Christoph knew a thing or two about gift horses…
“You wouldn’t happen to know anything about weirdly subtle curses, would you?”
"Only that they're among the best kinds of curses~," she replied with a perilous grin. "They gnaw and tear away at you bit by bit, wear away at your constitution, slowly drive you to the brink of madness. Oh, and how it's even more delightful if you are completely ignorant to your curse! Imagine! Your luck runs sour, your health fails you, you find yourself shunned by all those around you, and you have absolutely no idea why! Ahhh, how delectable."
"Oh, but I’m rambling on now, aren’t I? It sounds like you have a very specific curse you would like to discuss. Pray tell, little one: what ails you this day?"
