I'm so glad to recover my Tumblr account after a couple of years!
I've lost my email and my password when I got a new device after my previous suddenly died, so I had to check all of my dead emails to be able to figure out which one I've used to make this Tumblr (some of those dead emails I didn't even remember their existence). But at least it worked out!
Now I just hope that I won't have to go through this kind of trouble ever again. I've never felt so useless when I couldn't remember my own login. Fml! 🤣

Did you read the latest interview? Did they put Sesshomaru and R in the same parent pedestal? Did Narita Ken kind of supporting now the cursed ship?
It is kind of frustrating right now, considering the things that we are recieving from this show. Yet, I didn't expect anything different from this (or any other) interview, tbh, because people related to this show shouldn't be able to give us a spoiler or a different idea of the story that is going on without breaking their contract or ruining this show in the end of this season, since they would stir up the viewers (and we know it can become really bad), and considering Sunrise's circunstances (its merge with another company), I don't know if they have what is necessary right now to do a damage control of the situation if required.
I've just read the interview for the third time and I jumped to Narita and Noto's answers only, and Narita has never stated that Rin is Sesshomaru's wife or mother of his twins, all he did was speculation. Noto did it, though.
It is true that Narita talked about Rin, but he never did an official statement about Sesshomaru and Rin's relation/feelings, all he did was share his personal opinion (that he elucidates everytime he does it), different from Noto, that says openly that Rin is the mother of the twins (not Sesshomaru's wife) and do it in an official way. The curious thing is that Noto refers to Rin the same way the subtitle used to refer to Rin: Towa and Setsuna's mother, not including Sesshomaru in it.
So, about Narita, he could still be into a denial process (just like us), because of his personal values, or because he knows something that we don't and he doesn't want to bait us with this ship in an official way.
For me, there was two important things worth of note (despite the one mentioned above) in the interview:
1. The VAs are only recieving the script with their lines, but not being helped to develop the feelings that the scene they are recording requires, which proves to us that they actually are recieving only one script per time, so they are unaware of what is going to happen to their character and to the storyline; and,
2. When Narita was asked about his thoughts of Sesshomaru catching Rin in his arms once Zero was defeated and Rin was released from the silver scale curse, he says that in his own opinion Sesshomaru only took Rin at that time as his "heart" (when he says that he "embraced the heart he had been denying"), giving me the impression that he was denying it/her all along (not just because she was into a cursed state). It is a weird saying, especially if they were supposed to mean something to each other (and be aware of this meaning) for at least 15 years already... Perhaps my text interpretation is wrong, however if I am mistaken about his saying, then he didn't answer the question properly and he didn't answer what he was directly questioned, because the timeline he uses is cracked.
Yet, we must recall that after Kagura's death, Totosai tells Sesshomaru that "where there was a lacking in his heart, something has been born" (chapter 409 of InuYasha). Moryomaru calls it "compassion" (chapter 407), while Totosai states that Sesshomaru's heart changed, since whatever he had experienced made him feel angry and sad for the sake of someone else (chapter 409). Back then, Sesshomaru also denied his emotions, just like Narita says he has done with Rin. For me, it is kind of odd for he to repeat the same doing, since he had already improved at the end of the OG and we are once again talking about similar feelings that should've been mastered by now.
Oh, and I can't ignore the fact that Narita says that Sesshomaru is his parent's child, and that he has realized it while meeting Rin, and this is why he can interact with his twins. But... How can Narita states it, if we have never seen the dynamic of Toga with InuKimi (and Sesshomaru) to create an idea of what his parents were like, to elaborate our own ideas based in facts/canon info? I must say that if we should wait for the children to have the same dynamic as their parents, then the twins are NOTHING like them, even if Sunrise has stated once that their interactions with each other is similar to their parents, I can't see the Sesshomaru x Rin dynamic in them, nor Rin's personality whatsoever.
Even if I didn't see too much stuff in this interview worth of note, it is clear to me that the family bond is going to become a new plot in this show, that is why InuKag and Moroha already recieved their screentime and Sesshomaru x his wife and the twins didn't. Narita also wonders if this is going to happen after the current battle is over, yet he doesn't know for how long it will last. Somehow, it can end up being connected to the twins' family. We can speculate about it, but I rather wait until the end of this season to get more info to work with.

We're waiting for your theories. 🙏
I shall share it in 4/5 weeks from now. But I am already writing some that I will revise once this season ends.
Meanwhile, please send me your questions about this show, that I will surely answer with my current thoughts!

Will you be posting your theories?
Yes, I will! But I will wait until this season ends, since I want to rewatch it with more accurate context to theorize.
Meanwhile, I am open to answer any of the questions you have, this way I will know what you want me to focus later. ;)

It seems I've got a new meme perfectly picturing fandom finding zen in the midst of chaos of shitty canon 😆
When canon gets fucked up, fanfiction is our only salvation, isn't it?.. 😁

It's said that they'll be merge with Bandai Namco officially on April. Do you think they'll still going for S3? If there'll be S3, will it be under Bandai Namco?
I don't know which kind of contract they will sign for this merge to happen, but I believe that the team of Hanyo no Yashahime will still carry on with this project, since it is an ongoing show with their own rentable audience and storyline in development. And it is not a local show, it is a worldwide project, so the only reason for it to be dropped is if Bandai Namco doesn't approve the context of this story, like the controversial implications. Yet, it is only my personal opinion.

So they confirmed they're ending it? There are still a lot to unpack. Think they're just going to throw away the whole case.
I didn't see anything talking about a new season or ending it, that ain't a speculation. Also, as I recall, Sunrise only did a confirmation of a new season after the release of the last episode in S1 during a press conference. So I will be waiting for the news and won't take any baits. I personally don't think that Sunrise will end this show like this. They've invested a lot of time and money in this season. They've also published a manga and invested in new merch. It is odd if they drop it now.

I am glad to see you back. It seems Ru confirmed that Yashahime will be ending after two seasons.
Could it be due to a short budget? Or Sunrise is planning to do an OVA to close this story? Because we have a lot of plots to be closed and explained and I doubt they can do it in only 4/5 episodes left.

Another suspicious thing about momRin bs was when she and the twins met, she told them about Sesshomaru not telling her the reason why he took the twins after they were born. She also told them, "but now I know, that the two of you of ARE DAUGHTERS OF LORD SESSHOMARU". Isn't weird for a "mother" to say that? Didn't she know who impregnated her? lmmao! I saw people say it's just Rin being humble and submissive because she married the "Lord of the West", but can't she just atleast say "you are our daughters"? What is your say about it?
Here in my country we have a saying: "you definitively are your father's daughter", meaning that the person follows their father more than their mother (or any other relative). So Rin could've been saying something like that to the twins, when she says that they are Sesshomaru's daughters (and not hers), which means that I don't find it too odd, tbh.
For me, the lack of motherly affection is what bothers me the most. Rin hasn't seen hers daughters after they were born. The show tells us that it was a wanted pregnancy, so she was happy with the twins' existence all this time. However, she wanted to hug them LATER (and she stated it more than once), even if they were in front of her (and both of them have experienced some kind of death and she was aware of it the whole time). No mother has this kind of reaction towards their wanted children. Look at InuKag with Moroha: InuYasha is a crude character and he still hugged his daughter and had his own way of showing aftection to her, even if they were appart when she was still a new born baby.
Also, Rin was NEVER a cold person. She is warm with anyone and everyone. In episode 1 of HnY we see Rin being so happy to see Sesshomaru during the RootHead incident and we see her facing Zero and Kirinmaru and being overly emotional while protecting people she carries about. But never once she willingly put her own daughters first. Even when Towa was facing Zero, she showed more concern about Zero's safety than her own daughter's, and I say this because her reaction about Setsuna's cutting the red thread that connected her with Zero was more emotional than she telling Setsuna to save Towa that was in danger at that time. Also, she even sent her second child to meddle in a dangerous fight because she wanted to save Zero and Towa... And all this was because if the red thread was cut at that time, she would still be cursed and would die soon, since the curse had spread all over her body. So basically Rin was being egoist, wanting to save herself more than to protect her own children (or Zero).
Oh, and I must say that after Rin was put into the Tree of Ages, she has become a really self centered character in this show, giving us a lot of hypocrite statement, while she was only thinking about herself the whole time.
Like: 1. Rin never showed guilty about stealing Setsuna's dreams with the green butterfly being attached to her young daughter, since it would allow her to live longer despite curse;
2. When officially meeting and talking to Setsuna for the first time, she thanked her daughter about the music she played, because she was digging into Setsuna's dreams and saw it was for her. After all this time of them being sepparated, the first thing she says is: I have heard the music you've played for me and I saw your dreams, so thank you and I am sorry, and even include a pitiful speech of wanting to see Setsuna before dying (she totally forgot to include Towa in her saying LOL).
3. She wants Setsuna to save Zero and Setsuna, because this way the curse Zero gave to her would be removed. She knew that cutting the red thread connecting herself to Zero being cut down would save Towa, but she wanted Setsuna to do the hard way, because she wanted to save her own ass instead to be sure that their daughters would be spared.
The list keeps going on and on, but Rin being submissive and humble? Only in the past. Now she is simply a sly character that hides her true shades into a hypocrite speech of worring about others when she is only protecting herself.

What's your say about Kon and Haku? Obviously, Kagura's kon is still around, she only needs a vessel to make use as haku. They emphasized it in the last episodes, do you think that's what happened with Kagura?
I believe that Sunrise is using all of their creativity in this show when telling us how a demon/human/God can still be brought back to life. They've showed us Urasue's method, the red thread way, Tenseiga, etc. But they still hasn't explored the Meido stone (that brought Rin back to life) and Yura's connection to her comb.
Yet, Kagura was an incarnation of Naraku and Byakuya in the OG and now Riku stated that if their master dies, then they would also perish. Even if Kagura's kon was still around, she would still perish if her fate (red thread) was still connected to Naraku and, as we saw, even if the person is dead, the red thread is still connecting the dead with the living through an object that contains their kon. This could mean that Kagura's kon went to her fan when she died, which explains why Kanna tossed it into the bottom of a lake, a similar lake that was already shown twice in this sequel also holding someone's kon through their objects (a musical instrument and a carcass).
