Summary: Tricky did something he immediately regretted. It happened all too quickly, but before he knew it, the one person who gave him a chance and that stayed by his side was left dying in front of him as he watched him. Tricky, couldn’t process what happened, but he knew one thing, he killed the one person he loved, and he was never gonna live that down. Warnings: Heavy angst with no good ending. Somewhat brutal death and mentionings of blood. Extremely short ficlet, but it proves it’s point well enough I think. Oh also, lack of dialogue. I know, not a warning, but just wanted to say it.

This was not supposed to happen at all. It just shouldn’t have, and yet it did. It just happened way too quickly, and before the clown knew it, his lovers’ corpse was sprawled on the ground, spewing blood on the hallway of the abandoned building. Tricky couldn’t even process nor react as soon as it happened, because… it was just a mistake. A mishap, an unguided motion, and yet, this action was enough to kill his partner and left him to die slowly to his displeasure. Only a few minutes after staring at his corpse, did he finally fall apart on himself? The previous moments were nothing but a blur, but the clown could recollect what was boiling down to this final moment. All they were doing was arguing, what about exactly? We are not too sure, but it led to the two males getting extremely heated and in each other’s faces. One nagging on about how the other is insensitive about the situation, while the other yelling about how the shorter man was too emotional for the case, and one thing after another led to the taller male writhing in pain as he was embedded by the zombie’s sign.

Hank could have removed it under normal circumstances, whenever he had to fight, he would immediately strike back, and try to kill the offender that stabbed him, but for some foolish, stupid reason, he did not. He let himself die. He just let it happen, and he let it happen in front of the clown. The ex-scientist fell to his knees, violently sobbing as he began shouting and cursing at himself. He is so idiotic for this; he should have known things would not end well. He should have just agreed and moved on, he should of just stayed silent and let his lover yell at him for being too emotional, but no, he couldn’t handle it. 

He stabbed him in cold blood and watched him through agony. 

Tricky began to punch the tile floor, slowly breaking it as more shrieks began to echo the grey hallway as he began to grow more feral once again. His screams got extremely louder, his body shacked more, and his mental state began to crumble once again.

This was not the first time Hank died, but for the clown, this time certainly felt… worse. It is one thing to kill someone you hate violently and on purpose, but another to kill a person you love in the most accidental tragic way, which became the case scenario here. He did not try to kill him this time, he swears completely, but it still happened.

What made this worse was that this was his last time ever seeing him alive again, for he did not have the power to revive him one final time. Hank could not be revived this time. He could not be revived at all. The last talk they ever had would be remembered as Hank’s lover screaming at him for being insensitive, and Tricky would now live knowing that. He can’t even apologize to him.
