old couple taang(because screw canon aang got to grow old and see his grandchildren) I'm just imagining this sweet but silly old man being together with this badass but cranky old lady toph. And this old man adores his wife. Him being the obly one who gets her to smile and be soft. Than you find out that old sweet silly man is the avatar!
Yessss I imagine aang to be just like Gyatso in his old age🥺 aang will prank poor old toph in her old age because at this point there is no fear he has seen it all. And toph secretly loves it.

I'm rewatching ATLA and I just noticed how softly Aang looks at Toph.... Compare his expression to Katara or Sokka's. His eyes quite literally softened when she arrived!

“The swamp shows us people we’ve lost, people we loved, people we think are gone” Sokka sees Yue, and Katara saw her mom. Aang sees Toph. So does this mean Toph is someone Aang will grow to love? I suppose that’s confirmation enough. Meaning The Swamp is the episode that launched 10 million taang shippers.

Taang: Tophs father never comes around to liking Aang. Her mother eventually does and finds him charming.
Yesssss her father still resents him for “kidnapping his daughter” but her mother appreciates him eventually for showing toph the world and giving her the love and acceptance she couldn’t find at home😔🤘🏻
