Two reasons why I prefer dub over sub when watching anime:
1) I can look away and still understand what’s going on. Very useful for drawing.
2) Female characters sound way less hysterical when crying and yelling at the same time. My god the hysterical crying has soured my enjoyment of way too many shows and movies.
As a European I’m used to watching stuff with subtitles but I’ve grown to love dubbed anime.
#watching a lot of anime in JPN has legit helped me pick up on the language and certain words (very small amount of vocab but it is useful)#BUT also yeah; it is very nice to draw & listen at the same time#not to mention there are some REALLY excellent dubs (not just ENG ones)#Treasure Planet ITA dub u r legit great & if a lot of Italian dubs are as good as u then I might just rewatch more Disney films in ITA#also also: yeah I can’t stand the way a lot of female characters sound in some anime lol too fucking high pitched and child-like even for#older characters#w/e dub vs sub is dumb b/c dub quality varies & ppl should just be happy to have more than 1 great version of a show/ film/ game
