So, I have a rediculous bone to pick with Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. I can hear the clamoring now. Do me a favor, tho, and consider my thought process before y'all begin rattling your sabers, pitchforks and hoes. Now, before we go any further, let me preface this. In order to understand where I'm coming from you'll need to enable your disbelief and also loosely compare DBZ and DBS elements with how things work here, in the real world. In particular: how our bodies function and how a Saiyan's should function as their humanoids with similar physiology.
Without further ado: Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Get ready, y'all.
In DBS, its revealed that Universe 7 Saiyans stay youthful and in their prime into their 80s. Albeit some mature slower than others. Looking at you, Grandpa Goku. That by itself is pretty interesting and cool, until you remember the existence of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and the Saiyans cavalier and flippant use of it.
If you spend one whole day in the chamber, intensely training, you end up with equitable experience that equates to a year. Now, for a layman that means you could become proficient in an entire martial art over the span of a day. Pretty nifty, right? For a Saiyan, it means they learn new techniques and train in intensifying gravity and increasingly denser air. So, by the time they exit the Chamber, they're much faster and stronger than what would naturally be possible normally. And, as we know: speed is king in DB.
My point of contention arises from the effects of the time dilation. In the beginning arcs of Dragon Ball Super alone, Goku and Vegeta spend weeks in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. During the buildup to the Tournament of Destroyers (Universe 6 & 7), both spend approximately a week in the chamber. So, their bodies have aged 7 years by the time they exit.
Vegeta spends an unspecified amount of time in there, training to catch up to and surpass Goku. Vegeta, is already older than Goku.
If Saiyans stay in their prime (physically) until their 80s and these punch-drunk fighters have been using the Hyperbolic Time Chamber since the onset of the Cell Saga, it stands to reason that they are physically past their prime by the beginning of the Tournament of Power arc. Realistically, past it by the Universe 6 & 7's tournament arc.
Even if they aren't chronologically 80 yet, their bodies should be well past that point. My evidence is thus: in the Army, every so often they have you take a test (the GAT) to determine how old your body is physically, which is loosely calculated by your level of activity and strain/stress you put upon it. It's been several years since I served and a few years past that since I took the GAT. However, when I did last take the test, the results informed me that my physical age was approximately 4 years older than my chronological age.
Again, putting aside the fact we're all supposed to suspend our disbelief to enjoy the beloved anime and source material, this disconnection between physical and chronological age seems like a heinous oversight. Or just laziness.
It's a rediculous bone to nitpick about, but it's something to think about. There's plenty of story potential in addressing this fact and it opens up the possibility to make Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Pan, etc more relevant to the cannon as they could step up and surpass their parents in strength in power. Likely, not Gohan, tho'. He has different priorities than his father and uncle (for the most part). Also, he has used the Hyperbolic Time Chamber as well. So, my same point of contention applies to him as well. Albeit, to a much smaller extent given Gohan's relative age and interests.

push yourself to get up before the rest of the world - start with 7am, then 6am, then 5:30am. go to the nearest hill with a big coat and a scarf and watch the sun rise.
push yourself to fall asleep earlier - start with 11pm, then 10pm, then 9pm. wake up in the morning feeling re-energized and comfortable.
get into the habit of cooking yourself a beautiful breakfast. fry tomatoes and mushrooms in real butter and garlic, fry an egg, slice up a fresh avocado and squirt way too much lemon on it. sit and eat it and do nothing else.
stretch. start by reaching for the sky as hard as you can, then trying to touch your toes. roll your head. stretch your fingers. stretch everything.
buy a 1L water bottle. start with pushing yourself to drink the whole thing in a day, then try drinking it twice.
buy a beautiful diary and a beautiful black pen. write down everything you do, including dinner dates, appointments, assignments, coffees, what you need to do that day. no detail is too small.
strip your bed of your sheets and empty your underwear draw into the washing machine. put a massive scoop of scented fabric softener in there and wash. make your bed in full.
organise your room. fold all your clothes (and bag what you don’t want), clean your mirror, your laptop, vacuum the floor. light a beautiful candle.
have a luxurious shower with your favourite music playing. wash your hair, scrub your body, brush your teeth. lather your whole body in moisturiser, get familiar with the part between your toes, your inner thighs, the back of your neck.
push yourself to go for a walk. take your headphones, go to the beach and walk. smile at strangers walking the other way and be surprised how many smile back. bring your dog and observe the dog’s behaviour. realise you can learn from your dog.
message old friends with personal jokes. reminisce. suggest a catch up soon, even if you don’t follow through. push yourself to follow through.
think long and hard about what interests you. crime? sex? boarding school? long-forgotten romance etiquette? find a book about it and read it. there is a book about literally everything.
become the person you would ideally fall in love with. let cars merge into your lane when driving. pay double for parking tickets and leave a second one in the machine. stick your tongue out at babies. compliment people on their cute clothes. challenge yourself to not ridicule anyone for a whole day. then two. then a week. walk with a straight posture. look people in the eye. ask people about their story. talk to acquaintances so they become friends.
lie in the sunshine. daydream about the life you would lead if failure wasn’t a thing. open your eyes. take small steps to make it happen for you.
