We love whales but there are so many other cool things to see out on the water. This is a Mola Mola or Ocean Sun Fish. They can weight up to 3300 lbs and 13ft long. These guys are the heaviest boned fish in the world and I'm going to make a pretty safe bet on the ugliest. Still a cool run in. #7seaswhalewatch #7seas #gloucesterma #gloucester #bridgecapeann.

The Humpback Whale "Perseid" (1st photo) is named after the Perseid meteor shower which seems to originate from the constellation Perseus (2nd photo). This year the Persieds peak between August 10th and 13th. This morning, however, the (shooting) star of the trip was Perseid's calf who put on quite a display of surface activity #gloucester #gloucesterma #whalewatching #whales #7seas

We had a lovely morning on the ocean today thanks to our intern, Victoria, who spotted two feeding Humpback whales just south of Jeffery's Ledge (11 miles from Gloucester harbor.) The whales were "Pinch" (pics 1 and 2) and "Exclaim" (pic 3) who put on quite a show! Thanks Victoria
