The Guide, also fully dressed in black boots, skirt, jacket, and gloves, is spooning Colin, almost as if she snuck into the cuddle pile after everyone else was already in bed. She smiles contentedly with her cheek pressed against his shoulder, hands gripping his shoulders and knees tucked behind his.

I’ve never made a post like this, but I could really use some help

I’m a 25 yr old artist living in florida (aka hell) and my lp and I have been struggling to find decent housing for 3 years. we moved ourselves and our cat into an immobile 200 sq ft rv camper trailer in my mom’s backyard for what was meant to be a temporary living situation after we had a very volatile and traumatic falling out with the people we were living with.

we were essentially stuck in the camper for 2 years as we both struggled with loss of income sources, paying out of pocket for my anxiety/ptsd related therapy, all while housing & rental prices in our hometown skyrocketed well out of the range of possibility for two young musicians/artists supporting themselves mainly on hospitality/service industry jobs catering to the wealthy tourists who priced us out of the place we grew up.

we finally found a place for rent we can afford in a more happening, lgbtq+ friendly area and knew we had to go for it even if the funds were just scraped together, as our mental, physical and relationship wellbeing was deteriorating in every way in our small non functioning space.

then a few weeks ago I was sideswiped in my car by someone who had no insurance or license and had to come up $$ I really didn’t have to fix my vehicle, putting me in deficit for both a portion of my move in costs, as well as upcoming bills like the car payment on the vehicle I couldn’t even drive. let alone necessities like food and basic supplies

we’ve submitted apps for temporary benefits but FL offices are extremely backed up and we have to wait an unspecified amount of time to even hear if someone will look at our case

I’m sending out job applications every day but haven’t gotten anything promising back yet. I know I’m just a random blog on your dash but I know some of y’all have been here for a long time, so if you’ve enjoyed my posts or just have it within your heart and means to donate even a dollar so I don’t fall further into debt and can continue to live in a safe, adequate space it would mean everything to me
