吸い込まれそうに透明なもの、
深く澄んだもの、鮮やかなもの、
明るいもの、暗く輝くものなど、
さまざまな色や形の鉱石。
その小さな多面体の中は、
ときに夕日に照らされた砂浜や水面、
あるいは星の最期の瞬間のようだ。
なぜ自然はこのような美しい形が
とれるのだろうか。
かたちを作るための見えない力が
働いているとしか思えない。
100年前、ルドルフ・シュタイナー
という人が面白いことを言った。
「私たちの周りには、
フォルムの精神が存在している。
また、フォルムの背後には
運動の精神が存在する」
結晶の背後にも、形をつかさどる何かが
運動しているのかもしれない。
だから自然のものすべては、自らの法則に従って
リズミカルに増殖していくのだ。
それは幽霊のように目には見えず、
線と力の組織として、
大気中を漂っているのかもしれない。
「フォルムのゴースト」のように。

適切な形を導き出すことができるのだ。
私たちが創り出すものは
幽霊のように目に見えない、

宙に浮かんでいるのかもしれない。

週末になると必ず流れていたcountdown TV、RECOfanのワゴンに無造作に押し込まれていた8センチCDなど、いっとき繁栄を極め、過去の遺産となっていた円盤メディア。同じく、科学にその地位を奪われ、過去のものとされてきた魔術。私は円盤メディアと魔術の新しい関係を夢想した。この世界では、円盤メディアにいろいろな魔術がプレスされ、店頭に並んでいるのだろう。
