today marks 50 years since the dictatorship in portugal ended and it was all thanks to the brave resistance of brave men and women that i'm able to be here today, free, and able to speak my mind. i'm eternally grateful to these people for what they have done for my country and if it wasn't for them, there was no democracy or liberty of expression. today, i'm especially thinking of palestinian people like i've been thinking for the past few months every day but i sincerely hope that portuguese did too since even tho, we have the freedom to celebrate our democracy and be able to go home to our families, palestinians can't and so therefore, today and more than anything, i'm praying for their freedom that is definitely gonna come. i'll always stand with solidarity and i'll fight every day so you can be happy in a free palestine. from the river to the sea 馃

Is it just me or did our generation (those of is who are currently 20-30 ish) just not get the opportunity to be young in the 'standard' sense?
Like, everyone I talk to who's over 40 has all their wild stories about their teens and 20s, being young and dumb, and then I talk to my friends and coworkers and classmates, and we just... dont.

everyone (except percy) look away im doing pda under the cut for a second
like does percy know that when he says something cute i get the urge to shred things with my teeth like hes so.......... hes sooooo i get the poems and stuff now like i would go to battle for you id spend every waking moment with my hand pressed into yours if i could id stop time for us in an ephemeral evening where we can do nothing but cook together and enjoy ourselves in little collections of moments that span years that make up living together. i feel like biting things when hes sweet and funny and passionate about his loves for writing and baking and lizards and kaiju and hes just competent and sweet and also so relaxing to be around like truly a hearth in my home and im glad ive spent the last third of my life knowing and loving him and im glad he's taught me how love feels by giving me the space to explore what it means for both of us
