Virgilio S. Almario also known by his pen name Rio Alma. He is a national Filipino artist. He also became a poet, critic, translator, editor, teacher, and cultural manager and he published numerous books of criticism literary history and anthologies. He is the author of ibong adarna and we all know that it catches the attention of the people to read his work as we capture the essence oh his story.
For his many achievements, Almario is recipient of numerous awards including:
