the rough sketch vs the finished painting (part 2)
I think because people often only see the finished paintings in all its detail, intricacy and completion that they often never realise that they spark from these rough, 5 minute concept scribbles in a sketchbook. The whole process from sketch to finish is a journey in itself!
My first art book, ‘The Art of Kelogsloops’ is out now! It shares the artistic journey from my earliest drawings, to the paintings I make today. The book includes painting tutorials, art tips, advice on art style & an in-depth insight into how I make paintings from sketch, to finish.

I have been meaning to do a remake of my mega old piece of the beast trio for a while now and I finally got around to do it. I vaguely remember that my original idea for the old one was the trio running through ash and smoke so I took that same theme and gave it a new spin. I wanted a stronger storytelling component so I ended up doing a piece of the trio rising from the ashes of the tower that burned down, gazing into the horizon at the Tin Tower and Ho-Oh that gave the beasts a new life.
Crammed together like heaps of flesh in tents that feel like scorching ovens, our days have regressed to a more degraded version of those of the earliest humans. From morning till night, we search for the same things Abel and Cain sought to survive: water, food, and fire. We endure long hours in queues to get a meager amount of water, and the food consists of old, low-quality canned goods. We sleep and wake to the sounds of savage airplanes, unsure of where they will strike next or who among us will be turned into scattered remains. Here in Gaza, we are living the worst existence humanity has known since its very beginning, You are our only hope for escaping Gaza and its oppression. Please help my siblings and me find a safe place to live💔🇵🇸
This tent is now sheltering us in difficult conditions after the bombing and burning of the house
This is our daily lives and sufferings in the simplest things;
We will be forever grateful for any kind of support.
