with this fic, rachel has crafted one of the most incredible slow burns i have ever read. the chemistry and the tension between her Sokka and Zuko are SO well-done, and they’re increased so incrementally that reading it really feels like you’re experiencing the feeling of falling in love yourself. it’s adorable and hilarious and heartbreaking and heartwarming in just the right amounts. it’s a fake dating fic, but it’s also SOOO much more than that. and the best thing is the fic is already fully written, so it’s going to be complete on AO3 in a matter of days!
i could talk for about 100k about this fic, but i think it’s better if you just read it yourself - i promise you won’t regret it!

Chapters: 48/48
Zuko decides to fight Azula in the Crystal Catacombs. This sets of a sequence of events that leads to Zuko being Aang's tour guide through the Fire Nation. While together, the GAang and Zuko get to know each other better while learning about each other's cultures. Zuko and the GAang bond and become closer than any of them could have predicted, but that might not be enough to save them from the terrors waiting ahead.
