Multi-fandom mayhem cause I'm a chaotic queen and no mortal order shall detain me | Who am I kidding, this has long turned into a sports blog (tennis, f1, football) with tv, movies, and music splish splash | AKA I web weave for soulmates, emotionally repressed enemies to idiots in love pairings: fedal, gomens, hilson, johnlock, lokius, carraville, u name it
Ok so this laver cup announcement means we need to prepare for a bloodbath of tears when Rafa retires there this year and Roger makes some stupid grand gesture like oh i don't know jumping into his arms and crying his heart out right
"I recently bought a lot of drawings and writings by John. I have them on my wall so I get to look at them all the time."
-Paul McCartney, The Lyrics, 2021
"John was a big softy, but his shield was hard. So that was very good for the two of us. Opposites attract. I could calm him down, and he could fire me up. We could see things in each other that the other needed to be complete."
—Paul (The Lyrics, 2021)
"I wish I hugged him all the time we were together"
Adam Buxton: I have a question from Louis Theroux. And he wants to know what your favorite Lennon song was from the Beatles era.
Paul McCartney: From the Beatles era, there’s a few. You know, they always ask you what’s your favorite song. But there’s a few. “Strawberry Fields Forever”, I love. “Across The Universe”, I love. “Julia, which is about the mom he couldn’t live with. [...] And then later from his post Beatles work, “Beautiful Boy”, about Sean, was, I think, a really great song. Now I can look back on it and think “God, what a lovely guy, how privileged was I to run into him in Liverpool”. And I think we’ve both felt the same about each other. Just really quite chance meeting. It was through a mate of mine that I met John. But it was by chance. It was no setup. We didn’t go to the same school, but I went to the same school as the guy who introduced us. So thinking back on it, I do think “Oh, God, we’re very lucky”. I was thinking the other day, I wish I just sat and hugged him all the time we were together. But as you know, Adam, that probably would be slightly out of line. But it’s the kind of thing you think, you know, what about that? But guys didn’t do that kind of thing where I’m from.
Adam Buxton: maybe that’s what alcohols are for…
Paul McCartney: (laugh) hugging a lot.
Adam Buxton: Enabling you to hug and be hugged.
Paul McCartney: Yeah, well, you know, I know what you mean.
Adam Buxton: It shouldn’t just be alcohol.
Paul McCartney: I know what you mean. And so you know what happens in later years, now looking back on it all. You just think of little things. You think “Ah, that’s why that happened” or whatever. Or you may just think “I’ll just sit around and hug him forever”, because that’s the depth of my feeling for him.
Well, well, well, Oh well. Well, well, well, Oh well.
I took my loved one out to dinner [...] She looked so beautiful, I could eat her.
Well, well, well, Oh well. Well, well, well, Oh well.
I took my loved one to the big field...
Paul 1971, RAM, Long Haired Lady + Eat at Home:
Well, well, well, well, well
Do you love me like you know you ought to do?
Well, well, well, well, well
Or is this the only thing you want me for?
Well, [paraphrase] I have a very sexy lady now also, I love her sooo much. And I definitely do eat her...at home.
Here's some on point iconography for you, you jackass, and I don't want to hear another word about what happened in that field.
Rite. Let me get this right. So Carra basically got a bashing from a manager for a critical analysis he did, and Gary brought this topic up to Stick to Football to allow him to defend himself??? AND THEN basically making a statement that every single pundit on the panel agreed with him??? AND IT'S MANCHESTER UNITED??
