Probably won’t happen, but it’d be nice to get some backstory on Lute next season.

It’d be interesting if they tried to give her a more sympathetic twist. Maybe, in life, she was the victim of someone who was never condemned and punished for their crime against her. Hell being forever is the only way she can make justify how her life was ruined by someone who got to live theirs without consequence.

In general this would just be an interesting thing for Hazbin to explore given its subject matter.

Sir Pentious should’ve been the focus of Charlie’s trial in episode 6 instead of Angel Dust. Having him be the one to prove that he was becoming better to the Seraphim’s would’ve done a lot to set up his ascension.

I don’t know why people are jumping to the conclusion that Alastor is fucking Lilith. There’re so many other explanations that don’t invalidate his Aromanticism/Asexuality.

And before you say “asexuality is a spectrum, he could definitely be in a relationship”, I think it’s still invalidating if he were.

The show has not spent any time at all establishing Alastor as canonically asexual. Yes, he’s *not interested*, but to the average viewer they’ll just assume that means he’s a straight dude. (Even Hazbin Fans who know he’s Ace advocate for a non-sex repulsed reading of him, despite the fact that some of the only behavior of him we have that suggests asexuality is reads as sex-repulsed.) Putting him in a relationship will only further suggest to uninformed people that he is, in fact, a straight dude.

Unless the show has an actual interest in exploring the nuances of asexuality in a way that makes it clear that what Alastor would have with Lilith is different than a straight relationship, I don’t think it’d do anything but damage what would be a lot of people’s first impressions of Ace character. It’s just a cheap way for the show to have their rep and ship it too.

Also, as an aside, I think Alastor is a particularly bad character to explore the nuances of orientation with. He’s not vulnerable at all so it’d just feel jarring.

For the record, I don’t think you’re acephobic if you think Alastor’s not sex repulsed/dating Lilith/etc. I’m just stating that I hope the show doesn’t go this route, because they really haven’t put enough emphasis on his sexuality for this reveal to not confuse people.
