i hate when non-ed ppl talk about ppl with eds as if they know anything like. saying "she used to look so much better" on eugenia cooney's old vids. that doesn't help at all

it's always "your beauty standards as an eating disordered person are wrong, you should conform to the more popular beauty standard instead!" which is so stupid. popular beauty standards are no more healthy, realistic, or attainable than those of someone with an ed.

or "get your tits and ass back, be thicc" instead of "learn to love yourself and your body in whatever state it is in and disregard beauty standards altogether." my goal for recovery should not be to look more appealing to you or anybody else

but all this is because normal people don't actually care about our health, they literally just care about how aesthetically pleasing we look to them. if you are severely underweight but still have the relatively desired shape people will not give you as much shit as if you looked like eugenia cooney

non-ed people will shame people with eds for how they look as if that sort of shit isnt the exact same thing that got us here in the first place. and then they have the audacity to accuse us of being pro-ed. fuuuuck.

chris rock made a career out of humiliating Black women for white entertainment. his most well known joke is “i love Black people but i hate n*ggers”, which many racists quote to justify their racial abuse and decide which Black people “deserve” their “respect”. 

chris sat still and giggled while two racist white comedians insulted the bodies of Black sex workers and threw around the n-word in front of him, until JERRY SEINFELD of all caucasians called them out and expressed disapproval of the racist banter. this is not the first time he’s disrespected Jada either, a Black woman who has made it clear she is struggling with alopecia and hurting over hair loss. his documentary on Good Hair was more like a mockumentary as it did nothing to address the discrimination Black women face and degradation from men that have resulted in the insecurities over hair. instead he made our pain seem trivial.
