Ideal types of S/O for the Barians

*I got this request and I feel like writing for it! Though it’s been too long since I watched Zexal and I may not have a tight grip on all Barians, so please forgive me any wrong headcanons *bows*

Oh and I didn’t included Vector, I am sorry. I just can’t see this guy in a relationship at all..

Nash / Shark

Shark has a lot of pride, still after the events happened in Zexal. So no matter what you do or say, never, I repeat never, belittle him. He has a hard time with his sister pretending that she is the older and stronger one and has to protect him. He doesn’t need anyone who protects him. Instead, he wants to feel that he is the one, who could protect you. So.. show him how much you rely on him (without being too childish)

Talking about childish, Shark actually could fall for someone mature for their age. Someone who is not as silly as his other friends and someone who gives him a relaxed time when he is annoyed by being around the others for too long..

In terms of appearance, I think he could like long hair, because I imagine him relieving his stress while his fingers brush your long hair while you are lying in his lap. Something about feeling your hair calms him down

I think Shark’s ideal partner is someone who is mature enough to let him have intelligent chats, but sweet enough too to make him feel you’re an actual couple. But also very understanding for his comfort zones and a rather slow pace in your relationship.

Marin / Rio

Rio doesn’t have a certain taste for an ideal partner, because she has way too much own facets in term of her personality. She has a quite wild and dominant side, which cannot be handled by anyone. So, she needs someone who can read her mood changes and react accordingly to them.

Even though, Rio is a quite strong and independent woman now, she may have a soft side for romantic gestures, like receiving flowers, love letters and other gifts. She also enjoys cute dates too, but shoosh. Don’t tell her brother that she is into the girly stuff from magazines.

She is also fun loving. So she needs someone who is as adventurous as she is, enjoying to discover new stuff together and never running out of stamina or willpower. With this girl, it never gets boring.

But the most important thing, her ideal partner has to get along with Shark. Because she could never accept someone who is hated and hates Shark. It won’t get well to separate you two from each other you know.

In terms of appearance I actually think she would like someone taller than her, maybe some muscles she can lean on (or when she is feeling cheeky, to jokingly fight them to test who is stronger). Or maybe just to annoy the hell out of her brother with teasing and keep stating why he doesn’t have muscles like you. Poor Shark.

Alito

Alito totally prefers a romantic person. Someone who actually cherishes every little thing he does for them and make every day special. Liking flowers would help actually too, because we would literally DROWN you in roses and other flowers every single day.

He needs a sweet, kind-hearted and friendly person who is easy going around everyone. Of course, he could make himself a challenge by finding someone he keeps failing to woo but seriously, he would lose interest quite quickly when his avances are ignored for too long. Especially for someone who falls in love that easily like him..

He prefers someone who is smaller than him - or at least his height, because he refuses to be a little spoon while cuddling. And because he would love to ruffle your hair all day. That’s easier with a smaller partner. Because Alito is not the tallest man either.

And that is all to make him happy, really. Just be a cute, sweet thing he can carry like a queen and give him the love that he deserves. (And he wouldn’t mind, if he would see you in a cheerleader costum while you’re cheeing him on on his duels and fights)

Girag

To be a person, Girag will fall for and being happy, the most important thing is something every single person in this fandom has to offer; Being an Otaku - or at least show some love for Mangas and Animes. Because Girag is a big fan of those and if he could talk and read mangas with his partner, it would make him happy.

Imagine you are sitting in his lap while he helds a manga in his big hands and you both can read in blissful silence and he always asks if you finished reading the pages until he turn over the pages.

You might guessed it from the previous headcanon, a smaller partner is prefered for this giant. But not too small, because he would be afraid to break you if you are too fragil.

He has no other big preferences, because in all honesty, he is completely inexperienced with love matters and he never thought about stuff like that for a single second, You have to teach him but after that, he is going to be your teddy bear.

Dumon / Durbe

Similar to Shark, Dumon would prefer a rather mature partner. Someone smart, but still not arrogant about their smartness. He needs someone calm and silent person at his side. Someone where he knows, you’re waiting for him, no matter how long his work make him absent.

As a former knight, Dumon has a great sense of chivalry and gentleness, so romantic gestures from his partner would make him happy too. Though, he is not as romantic as Alito, but Dumon knows how to treat a lady very well and it would help, if his partner is ladylike (in personality and appearance.)

Actually I see him with an author, because he loves to read and I am positive, that he would love to read his s/os books and chapters as soon as they are finished. Imagine a romantic atmosphere, dim light, maybe candles, a chimney fire that quietly spit while you are reading your newest chapter to him, while he takes a little nap on your shoulder, because he overworked himself, again.

Aside from being ladylike, he would prefer longer hair, with ponytails. Something like Anna in Frozen 1. It would be cute if you wear glasses too though.

Mizar/ Mizael

Not going to lie, this one is quite tough, Actually I can’t see Mizar in any romantic relationship as barian. I can’t say how he is after being reborn, but I will try,

Mizar is a loner. He always had his dragons being the only creatures he trusted. He never had someone in his life, he grew feelings for, So love is something completely new for him.

To catch his interest, you have to be not an annoying brat that makes him cringe when he sees or hear you. So, yeah another mature partner for this guy. Someone who knows when to be silent or just wordlessly fullfill his wishes. That’s not that easy, but you’ll learn to read him.

Being fond of Dragons will help too, of course. It hadn’t to be YGO Dragons, if you like dragons in general, you have a small sympathy place from him. Though he would still be very cautious, because he never learned to trust others aside from his fellow Barians.

Mizar is a really complicated character when it comes to romance and a partner. He needs to learn the human kind of having a relationship and he may not like it a first. He may even push you away at first when you try to approach him. What you need is a good share of patience for him. Patience and showing him that having a partner is nothing bad. He eventually let his guard down and you tame this dragon.

Crow Hogan

Crow fell for your shy nature first, because let’s face it. This guy is a sucker for cuteness. But also for strong personalities. So both mixed in one, especially because of him, is all he could even ask for

and if Crow thought you were cute in the first place for being shy, hell he will be head over heels after seeing the other side of you during a duel or any other occasion where he could be in danger.

his initial reaction, after seeing this fierce and protective nature for the first time, he is literally like: “SHIT. I thought I was in love in you before, but baby, you got some more balls than some of my friends. You are beyond cute, you are gorgeous.”

Knowing Crows cheeky and sometimes even cocky side, he could bring himself into dangerous situation on purpose, just to see that ‘sexy’ side of yours, how he likes to call it. Sometimes he ask his friends to help him for a plan.

But, you know, you crack his ego a bit for being protective over him. Normally it should be the other way around. He want to protect you. So of course he has the same feeling about you when you are in danger. So he may even prefer your shy nature and avoid getting into trouble for a few weeks.

you both are surely a couple, no one will ever mess with. Because if you hurt Crow, you will kick their asses hard. And if they hurt you, Crow will kick their asses even harder. No matter how they would see it, they’re fucked when you team up against someone.

May I request an imagine for Trey and Alito with a S/O who sings very good but is overly self conscious about it and they walk in on them singing.

Sometimes I hate the english language. Because I was confused about “but is overly self-conscious” and I was like: Huh? doesn’t that mean a positive feeling about this? And then I googled and found out that this word can mean both ways oO being self-conscious like being brave and confident, but it also can mean not being confident and unsure. Wtf english language xD So I go with the latter meaning :)

Michael Arclight aka Trey

Trey yawned, after stepping down the stairs. He just woke up after a long sleepless night. How could he sleep when you were in the guestroom? He was constantly thinking about you and if he wouldn’t be too shy, he actually had asked you to stay with him instead of the guest room.

He made his way towards the libary to find something to read. His brothers were on sort of a business trip, so he was totaly alone with you. That meant he didn’t even bothered to fully dress himself and walked inside with just his sleeping pants on.

The youngest sibling stopped right in his tracks after he heard a soft singing voice. Even if you both weren’t alone in the mansion, it was not hard to guess that this loving voice belonged to his girlfriend. Trey smiled gently and remained silent to listen to her voice. He saw you swinging your hips slightly to the tune you were singing, while you looked through a book shelf.

Suddenly you spun around and saw your boyfriend standing there, smiling brightly. You blushed a deep shade of red and stopped singing instantly.

“You have a wonderful voice. Why did you stop?” he asked and stepped closer to you. Your blush darkened and you cleared your throat in embarassment.

“I..I don’t have a wonderful voice.. I just thought nobody would hear me..” you explained and looked away from him, cheeks still burning. You felt a warm hand on your cheek that raised your head back to face him. His smile was big and genuine and without warning, he pressed a sweet kiss on your lips.“Don’t think that lowly of yourself, [Y/n]-chan. Your voice is angelic. I would love if you would sing for me anytime.” he spoke and you melted in his kiss and kind words.

He was the sweetest boyfriend ever.

Alito

Alito never gave any fucks about Mizaels rules to forbid him to see you anymore. Mizael thought you were the reason why Alito neglected his mission for so long. Not that it wasn’t true though, but it was also quite hard to obtain certain number cards.

Despite this, Alito was ‘grounded’ by Durbe and he hasn’t seen you in weeks. That pissed him off quite much and he just tried to escape, even if the consequences were dangerous for him. He just had to see you. No matter what. Your smile, your scent, your voice. He just craved for you.

He arrived at your apartment in the middle of the night and thought you were already asleep, but his thoughts faded soon as he heard you in your backyard, singing softly. Alito blinked. He never heard you sing before, if he recalled correctly you stated once that you felt like your voice was not good enough for a singing voice. Oh how wrong you were, he thought chuckling while getting closer to where this voice came from.

Alito spotted you on a bench of your balcony. Your eyes were closed and your voice quiet, when you continued to sing a little song about longing and missing someone. It didn’t took long for Alito to get that you longed for him as much as he longed for you, so he made his way towards you.

You noticed a shadow infront of you, so you stopped singing and opened your eyes. Your eyes widen in mild shock and your cheeks started to burn when you saw your cheeky boyfriend with the biggest grin.

“A-Alito!”

“I missed you, babe.” he spoke and hugged you without any hesitation. You smiled into the embrace and buried your face into his neck just to inhale his scent. “And don’t ever say, your voice is not made for singing. You have the most beautiful singing voice ever. Even better as that idol Girag is fawning over.” he stated, making your blush even darken.“D-Don’t be silly, idiot. I am not good enough to be compared to an idiol.” you mumbled softly, feeling secure and loved in his arms.

“You are and don’t argue with it, darling. But now we just should shut up and enjoy this.” he began and started kissing your lips.

Who were you, to argue with his ways?

Crow Hogan

Crow would never even admit it openly, but even before you started dating, he was a huge fan of your sitcoms and ads where you were shown. I would not say he was a fan boy or something, he just wore that big cheeky smile whenever he saw you on screen and Jack teased the shit out of him for this. (Jack even embarass Crow with telling you eventually)

he also loves the songs you composed/wrote. Even you didn’t sang them yourself, Crow won’t miss to have a single song you were involved with and having a huge playlist in his Duel runner. You knew what? He even made headphones in his helmet so he could hear your songs constantly without anyone noticing. - Yusei: *during a duel* It’s your turn. Crow? Hello? - Crow: *silently humming one of your songs* Huh? What?

he more than loves to teach you to be a better duelant. Not that’s important in any way, but he just loves to spend time with you with stuff he loves. And he loves duels almost as much as he loves you, so it’s no wonder he want to help you with improving your duel skills

Crow also is very dedicated to find out, why you are not working on your professions anymore and always encourages you to give it a second start. Because he loves to see you in new commercials or stuff.

One of the most embarassing moments is when you enter his room without any warning and find merch and posters from you. You never saw him being so blushing red before and stuttering some kind of excuses whe he has such stuff

his biggest secret however, when Crow was a child, he wanted to be an actor aswell, but he was too shy to actually go to auditions. He never had any chance to chase his dream, especially after he got that criminal mark in his face. You could play one of your connections to actually help him being an actor at least for once in his lifetime.

Just imagine a Tag Duel drama with you and Crow as star actors, a bittersweet love story between a noble lady and a criminal, seeking acceptance and dueling together. Hell, Crow would totally be into it.

Actually I picture Alito as a really great dad. That kind of that, that is proud as shit for his kid.

Like, any archivement he / she made, any good grades or simply finding a new friend, he will reward ANYTHING noteable his child did, much to his wife’s dismay because she thinks he spoils their kid too much.

Alito highly prefer a male kid, because he want to teach him how to fight so he can have sparring matches with him, when he is old enough. though I think his wife would forbid him to do any gladiator like battles

he would not be less loving to a girl either, it’s his little precious princess. He would carry her around alot, piggyback rides and more. If his princess imagine herself as a professional equestrian, Alito would damn be her horse as long as she pleases!

He would show his child around his friends often. All his friends. Every two weeks to show them how much they grew. He will annoy the shit out of all his barian friends with his constant proud speeches how much he loves his child and how successful they will be in the future. #ProudestFatherOfTheCentury

Instead of fairy tales, he will tell them stories about his past life. His child would be really interested in his gladiator life and they would totally love the emperor who was Alitos best friend. Alito will have tears in his eyes when he hears how highly they would talk about his old friend. Damn that onion cutting ninjas everywhere..

He will be up to any shit he child will put him into. Travel overnight? Going to a funfair and hiding to spend the night there? Hell yeah, he is totally into it. It often results in his wife being mad at both of them. He and his child are such alikes

Alito

Girag stumbled back after a hard blow from Alitos attacks. Today his best friend seemed unusual eager during their sparring match. Maybe it was because.. You were watching him?

You sat on a stub near their fighting spot in the forest and watched their fight. Alito invited you to spend some time with him, but you miscalculated your appointed time and came one hour before your date. So you arrived while both males were having their daily sparring matches. You didn’t mind waiting for your boyfriend, because you really enjoyed watching him fight. Maybe because he was shirtless and sweaty..? Oh,hell, he was well built for his age, you had to admit.

Alito looked over to you and made sure you watched all his movements. His grin widened when he attacked Girag again. This time he took all his physical strength to grab him and pull him over his shoulder for a throw. Girag landed on his butt and yelped in slight pain. “HAHA! I WON AGAIN!” Alito exclaimed, his chest swollen with pride and he gave a thumbs up in your direction. You giggled softly, because you knew he just tried to impress you with going in on this fight like he was serious. And what did you had to say? It worked. You were impressed as you clapped your hands in excitement and ran over to your sweet little gladiator.

“This was amazing, Alito! Your fighting skills are so cool. Though I almost pity Girag.” you admitted and Alito laughed as he helped his friend to his feet.

“That’s nothing, Alitos punches don’t even hurt that bad.” Girag smirked, looking at Alito to make him a bit more insecure about his impression on his beloved girlfriend.“That doesn’t matter. He just don’t want to hurt you. I really admire your sportsmanship, Alito. You are always fair and you always look for your enemies. That’s what I really love the most about you.” you told him, making the boy blush a deep shade of red.

“Oi, get a room.” Girag spoke in slight disgust. He didn’t particulary liked how lovey-dovey you two were all the time.

“Not a bad idea though. I could need some sparring action in the bedroom aswell.““ALITO.”

God bless you for requesting one of my all-time-favorite boys.

Alito

You always thought Alito was such a naughty and flirty guy. He always tried to charm you with his smile and actions until you fell for him. Hard. Now that both of you started dating, things got a bit more complicated with him. He still acted flirty around you, but a sudden shyness overcomes him, whenever something intimate will happen between the two of you.

You couldn’t say what happened, but everytime you hug and your lips come into such a closeness, Alito suddenly blushed a deep shade of red and backed away.

It was strange, because he always acted to fast-forward. You could’ve sworn that he will seal your lips the moment you confessed to each other. But now, after a whole month of dating, nothing happened except holding hands and deep hugs. Or maybe a shy kiss on your forehead. And it slowly drove you crazy how he always seemed to avoid a real kiss.

“Alito.” You startled the boy when he was about to have a sparring with his best friend Girag, “Could I talk to you for a minute? In private.” your serious sound made Alito worry.

“Of course, sweetheart.” he replied and you tried not to blush by the cute nicknames he always gave you.

Alito followed you to a spot where you were able to have a talk.

“Listen, if I did anything bad, I’m so-” Alito started but you cut him off.

“If you just don’t like me anymore, please tell me and just break up with me.”

...

“EH?!” Alitos eyes widen in surprise and he tilted his head in utter confusion. “How the heck would you think I am not in love you anymore? I love you more than anything in this world!” Alito exclaimed, taking your hand in his and looked at you with those beautiful emerald orbs.

“Then tell me.. Why don’t we interact like a couple at all? You don’t even want to kiss me..” you said, a tint of sadness in your voice.

Alito was taken aback by your outburst, his cheeks flaming with embarassment. A really rare sight when you consider his usual playful attitude. He frantically waved his hands in defense.“No, no, no that’s not it!! I really want to kiss you..!” he said, looking absolutely adorable at moment. “It’s just..”“It’s just?”

Alito sighed and scratched the back of his head.“I never kissed before, okay? And I want it to be special when I.. when we share our first kiss. I just want to make it memorable for you. Because.. I really never felt like this before. I don’t want to rush or ruin things by not thinking what I am doing.”

His explanation made you kinda speechless. He was actually shy about kissing because he was inexperienced. He, Alito the big flirt of the Barians. Unbelievable. But his further words melted your heart instantly. He just was considerate of you and didn’t dared to make you uncomfortable.“You are an idiot.” you merely chuckled and crept closer to put your arms around his neck. This catched him absolutely off guard and his blush rose. “I don’t need any special moment to kiss you, silly. Our first kiss is memorable because it is our first shared intimate moment. I don’t care my surroundings or anything else in this world. Just your lips pressed against mine, is all that matters. So stop overthinking, silly.” you spoke and made Alitos mouth agape in slight shock.

However he recovered quickly and found back to his brave self, now catching you off guard with sealing your lips with his without warning. His kiss was soft and a bit shy at first. But when he noticed you were kissing back, he deepened the kiss by putting his hand on your head and pulling you into him more.

After you both needed air, he broke away from the kiss and looked at you with those shining orbs you grew to love.“You are right. I don’t need any timing to kiss you. I shouldn’t took Girags advice in waiting.”

“Eh? That was Girags advice? He is a looser with girls..”

“[Y/n] I heard that.”

“Oh shit.”

Jealousy headcanons for Shark and Rio? Could include both them being jealous and them seeing their S/o being jealous.

Ryouga Kamishiro aka Shark

Being jealousy

I don’t see Shark as someone who gets jealous easily. A part of him is just not caring about other men trying to hit on his partner, but the other part of him just trust his partner. If he would not have trust his partner being faithful and letting caught by other men, he would not started dating them in the first place

though, there are a few exceptions. Quattro. He can’t stand if Quattro flirts with his partner, because he most likely knows that Quattro just does it to piss him off (maybe more, since Quattro thinks Sharks taste in women is fantastic). Then Shark would totally show his jealousy openly and grab Quattros collar, dragging him away from his partner

But he is not aggressive when he tells others to fuck off. He most likely shot death glares with a understandable meaning. His s/o often wonders why people give up so easily when trying to hit on them, then they notice Sharks dark glares

his s/o would be happy to see him jealous, because it kinda means that he is really protective over them and loves them, otherwise he would not care.

Seeing his s/o being jealous

Shark is a quite good looking man, so of course he may attract many females while he is outside. There are surely a few occasions where his s/o may be jealous of all the attractive women trying to flirt with their Shark

though Shark never shows any interest in any other women they come across with, his eyes are constantly glued on his s/o, so they won’t have any reason to be jealous. Especially when they trust him. Do they trust him? Then there is no need to be jealous.

but sometimes he enjoys his partner being a jealous little fluff ball. Their puffy cheeks, crossed arms and pouting. But for the sake of god, don’t dare to blame him for you being jealousy. He can’t stand getting blamed for no apparent reason.

he will make sure, to show you that he chose you and nobody else. So stop being jealous, or he may give you a real reason to be.

Rio Kamishiro

to be honest, I don’t see her being jealous either, because Rio seems to be a quite confident person who truly believes in her own charm. And when her s/o fell for her, she is confident enough not to think that someone is able to snatch them away from her

Rio may change her mind about not being jealous when her s/o is close with her brother Shark too. They can be friends of course, but when they seem to have a really close relationship like physical one with hugs and laughing at each others jokes and stuff, Rio may feel a tinge of jealousy and tries to steal them away from her brother, loudly stating: “MINE.”

She is more possessive than jealous and she has no qualms to openly shows her admiration and love for her s/o in public so nobody even dares to try to hit on them. That’s for sure. Kamishiro siblings bites, so be wary.

her s/o is being jealous

she finds it cute, really. Rio maybe even makes her s/o jealous on purpose just to tease the shit out of them for loving her so much that they actually get jealous.

Can I ask for a Past!Nasch arranger marriage headcanons with a princess!S/O?

To my absolute defense, I have no real clue about Nash’s personality, because I always see Shark in his past-life. So I hope this is not too ooc. (I really should watch the complete series of Zexal, Zexal 2 and Arc-V...instead of just relying on wikis, fansites or stuff.)

Nasch

at first, he is completely against an arranged marriage. It may be help to connect his kingdom with another one, but just through a marriage? No, there has to be another solution to come in terms with this other kingdom.

though he won’t just decline the other king’s request and agrees to have a meeting together with him and his ‘future wife’. It’s not that Nasch was that friendly and social with other kingdoms, he just didn’t wanted to risk any unnessessary wars with pissing off the king.

after meeting her for the first time, something snaps in him. It’s not her appearance at first, because he never was someone to feel attracted to someone because of how they looked. It’s her own strong minded personality, that she is sitting there and debating this whole thing with her father. That she want to marry someone she loves and not someone she don’t even knew.

Nasch will be somewhat drawn to her bluntness, even if her father is mad at her and force her to stay in this kingdom, she would never obey him or her “husband” just because of some stupid hierarchy they lived in.

she is strong, beautiful and knows exactly what she want. if he had met her under other circumstances he would may even fallen for her. Probably. But at this condition, he has to think for the sake of his kingdom first, but also to her safety. Because she may have endured punishment for not obeying her fathers orders.

The first days during her stay at his castle are awkward, for both of them. Nasch is still not happy about this marriage, neither is she, but they had to dealt with it at that moment. At least until Nasch finds an alternative to keep her father satisfied and happy and even ensure that her and him are able to be free again to fall in love and marry whoever they want.

Nasch asks his sister (let’s pretend they both didn’t got sacrificed, because I don’t want to make him 14 while he has to marry someone. even if that’s sadly not unrealistic at those times.) to befriend the girl, so that she won’t feel that alone and lost in this new home. Marin happily agrees and both girls got along quite well. So well, that they start to hang out every free second. Marin soon becomes her most trusted person whom she tells how unhappy she was the first days after this and how much she cried because she didn’t wanted to marry. But.. she would be lying if she would say that she didn’t fell for Nasch. He was a good ruler after all, not too friendly but always fair and loved by his people.

Marin, not being the cocky and loud self she is in the future, promises to keep her mouth shut and not tell her brother that the princess fell in love with him. The truth was, he was starting to feel the same, even if he tried to hide his feelings too well.

On their ‘official’ wedding ceremony, they are already head over heels for each other and when they had to share a kiss infront of the whole kingdom, all those emotions flooded each others bodies as Nasch kept kissing her and even pulling her closer to his body.

Maybe an arranged marriage was not that bad at all.. At least he didn’t had to die a virgin. (Okay maybe Marin was not always that cute and noble)
