Midoriya: Books are just tattooed dead trees.
Todoroki: I like the way their corpses smell.
Yaoyorozu: I collect their corpses and display them in my room.
Iida: What is wrong with you people?!

i was talkin with some europeans about their healthcare and i realized like, even if i had the means to immigrate, i most likely would not be allowed to in most countries as a single person because I am disabled. This is another major aspect of ableism I don't see talked about often, the way immigration systems across the globe are designed to keep disabled people (who would be 'burdens' on the welfare system) out.

When I say “school should be disability accessible”, I don’t just mean we need handicap rails and EAs. Kids should be able to miss a day without failing out of school. You shouldnt be dismissed from clubs because your attendance record is “spotty” (true story). I once missed an entire week of school because of a terrible, unending migraine. I was expected to keep up with my studies despite the blinding pain that came with working on my computer. When I heard my teachers say that you couldn’t miss exams, I asked what I would have to do to be excused from them. Their response? “Either get a doctor’s note an hour before the exam or death of an immediate family member.”
I cannot express how rigid this expectation was. First of all, with my condition, I wouldn’t have enough warning about my sickness to go to the doctor and request a note. For many people, this is exceptionally difficult, especially with the current shortage of medical professionals. Next, it ignores the fact that my schedule may not line with theirs because of my medical needs. Once, I had to visit a hospital a province away (which I was on the waiting list of for over a year) on the same day as an exam. I begged my mother not to take me because I was so nervous that I would be marked as an automatic fail. I was lucky enough to make it work, but that’s only because of my spectacular support system consisting of family members and wonderful doctors.
Disabilities aren’t always about needing a bus that can accommodate wheelchairs. It’s already difficult enough for many of us to maintain school attendance without the harsh punishments involved for skipping a day. We need to be able to miss school without being punished. Only than can you claim that the school is “accessible”

We need to lay more blame for "Kids don't know how computers work" at the feet of the people responsible: Google.
Google set out about a decade ago to push their (relatively unpopular) chromebooks by supplying them below-cost to schools for students, explicitly marketing them as being easy to restrict to certain activities, and in the offing, kids have now grown up in walled gardens, on glorified tablets that are designed to monetize and restrict every movement to maximize profit for one of the biggest companies in the world.
Tech literacy didn't mysteriously vanish, it was fucking murdered for profit.

on the way home, the Tesla Model 3 barreled into a tree and exploded in flames, killing von Ohain, a Tesla employee and devoted fan of CEO Elon Musk. Rossiter, who survived the crash, told emergency responders that von Ohain was using an “auto-drive feature on the Tesla” that “just ran straight off the road,” according to a 911 dispatch recording obtained by The Washington Post. In a recent interview, Rossiter said he believes that von Ohain was using Full Self-Driving, which — if true — would make his death the first known fatality involving Tesla’s most advanced driver-assistance technology.
Finally, they have a witness. A survivor of an Autopilot mishap who can testify that the driver was using Full Self Driving mode at the time of the crash.
See, this has been impossible thus far because (1) survivors are rare, and (2) Teslas are programmed to automatically disengage Self-Driving milliseconds before the crash so that when investigators review the telemetry it clearly shows FSD wasn't turned on.
And due to this technicality, Musk has been able to claim Autopilot has never killed anybody. Until now.

My biggest problem with sex is that I find it so disgusting. Not in an “eww, sex” kind of way. But as someone who hates being touched. Handshakes make me uncomfortable, so the idea of tangling with someone and exchanging bodily fluids doesn't appease me in the slightest. If I hate my own sweat, I certainly don't want to get close to other people's sweat. Kissing is also very disgusting to me.

I'm looking for one-shots and despite filtering by tag, only multi-chapter appears because apparently grouping one-shots into a single fanfic is a virus.

There is no system of oppression anywhere in the world that will be dismantled without loss of privilege on the part of people who benefit from that oppression.
Israel is not special in that regard. Israelis have benefitted for over seventy five years from the deaths and forced displacement and enforced poverty of Palestinians. They have benefitted for over seventy five years from the theft of Palestinian homes and land, from discrimination in housing and education and the criminal justice system.
There is no way to redress those injustices without Israelis feeling the loss of the benefits they have enjoyed. Anyone who claims to want ~peace~ but draws the line at any Israeli, ever, losing the benefits they derive from living in a genocidal Apartheid state, is either lying to you, or lying to themselves.
