One of the best things to come out of combining the crows and s&b storyline

Everybody’s always talking about the biblical imagery in Goncharov but I haven’t seen anybody talk about the allusions to Greek mythology like !!! Goncharov looking at Katya through the mirror when she threatens to shoot him, not making direct eye contact - Perseus and Medusa’ poisonous vision. When Sofia is leading Katya in the tunnels, not looking as they talk, but she turns around and Katya is gone - Orpheus turns and Eurydice vanishes. That unnamed taxi driver is paid two coins by Goncharov right before That Scene - he’s literally Charon, transporting the ‘dead’. Guys the whole boat scene is an allusion to the River Styx. The theme of time and the human hubris to defy it and the seemingly divine punishment of that ambition. Tell me I’m not the only one seeing this.

I know nothing about if this is feasible, but if anyone could do it, it would probably be her, and we definitely need to try something new.

With all the shit that went down on Ticketmaster today, I am convinced that Taylor Swift needs to create her own ticket sales company. Someone needs to end the monopoly that Ticketmaster holds and she is one of the only people with the money and the support to do so. Imagine, Taylor starts selling tickets to her concert exclusively on Swift Tickets. Fans can sign up for exclusive access to tickets. Tickets are released in waves. Everyone is assigned a specific time and date to buy their tickets so that the website doesn’t crash. Other artists can break away from Ticketmaster and join her ticket sales company. There has to be something better out there, and I think that @taylorswift is capable of creating it with her standing.

I'm just so fucking mad. And it wouldn't have mattered if he was straight because he put so much love and care into the character. AND HE IS LITERALLY EIGHTEEN. I swear people better stop this crap with other celebrities too. I'm going to fucking fight everyone.

Honestly no one benefits from this behavior. I'm so mad that people made him come out.

I would just like to add that while the Kit Connor situation is obviously morally repugnant, one aspect that I haven't seen people touch on is how this will effect queer reputation in the media landscape.

like if you clowns keep acting like this do you think any actors in their right mind (queer or otherwise)will sign on to do Canon queer projects if what they have in store is harassment, and rabid invasive fans bullying them and invading their personal life and the personal life of their friends or family?

OF COURSE THEY WONT. For years one of the bIg fights was getting actors willing to face the homophobia and invasive "do you like guys though" questions from the press and a movement that these questions to actors were vastly inappropriate

AND SOME HOW WEVE GONE AROUND EXCEPT THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE

from a pure, cold perspective you guys need to understand if you want big mainstream queer rep, you want movie franchises and more shows then these IP's need to be marketable. one of the biggest ways to make a project marketable and to attract producers and studios is to have big name or established actors attatcted....

AND THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN IF YOU KEEP BULLYING PEOPLE WHO TAKE QUEER ROLES

What i haven't seen anyone touch on yet but I wanted to point out is this Kit Connor situation genuinely endangers queer reputation in the media landscape. no one will want to make, fund, or continue to be a part of these shows if actors refuse to be a part of them or quit after one season because of the harassment they could face.

All I can say is, queer community, if you see this behavior, and you want to keep having queer representation you need to tamp down and crush this harassment when you see it, or we will go backwards.

what i like about heartstopper (and all of Alice Oseman’s books/shows !!) is how they get queer gen z culture exactly right like,, sometimes we’re cringy and sometime’s we’re funny and we keysmash and we say stuff like “we found another one!” and it’s all tiny stuff that makes these characters feel so real and not approximations of what it’s like to be queer and going to high school in more recent times
