“I’ve no idea what you’re after,” the Doctor said in a tone of offense.  “But you’ll not be getting it from me.  I don’t take well to being threatened.”
They were used to unfriendly greetings, but that didn’t mean they liked them.  And this was particularly hostile.  They weren’t entirely sure what they had done to warrant this, but they supposed they would find out soon enough.

“And where does that leave us?” they asked.  “I’ve a violin, a yo-yo, my sonic screwdriver, um…”  They began rifling through their pockets.  “A humming top, some sweets, bit of yarn, assorted small change…  Hm.  Not much that’s terribly useful, the screwdriver aside.  The violin, I suppose.  We’ve got music, at least.”
Not that music did anything to help with this situation.  If they were honest, it was beginning to feel hopeless.  But they did always try to be optimistic.  After all, sometimes their companions surprised them.  And besides, things always seemed to work out somehow.

“I rather like this jacket,” the Doctor replied in what could almost be called a pout. “Not terribly practical, I’ll admit, but I’ve grown quite fond of it.”

“Oh splendid!” the Doctor proclaimed sarcastically. “Another lair…”
This was getting to be something of a habit. One they could very much do without. And it was getting a bit tiresome, the way they all looked alike. Oh, of course there were differences depending on the planet, but the basic idea was the same.

“Oh, but some of the greatest things we will ever become begin with childish dreams,” the Doctor said with a distant, starry smile.  They held out a hand in invitation.  “Now, shall we go and see about following that dream?”

“Sorry, I’m quite certain I misheard you.  You said you were just returning from where?” the Doctor inquired.  If they were hearing that correctly, then either they were in the wrong time, or they needed to fix the translation circuit again.

“I must warn you,” the Doctor said, a current of danger underlying their tone. “I am not a man to be trifled with. And I do not tolerate any harm to the people I love.”
Their deceptively young face was set into a grim mask, their too-old eyes shining like steel. This, they would not stand for, would not allow. They abhorred violence and would not allow any harm to those in their care.

//I've returned once more! As always, it's quite bittersweet. I did miss this lad. However, it saddens me to see so many deactivated blogs amongst my old threads. I've been most active over in the Hazbin Hotel fandom lately. For about the last year or so. But with the show finally airing next week after so many years of the fandom waiting, my dashboard there is complete pandemonium and a minefield of spoilers besides. And, like I said, I've missed Eight. So now seems like the perfect time to come back here.
I'm not going to do anything tonight, as it's late and I have work in the morning. I couldn't get to sleep or I'd not be on here at all. But tomorrow I'll try to go through and repost some of my old open starters. If you're still around from before my roughly 3 year hiatus and we had a thread before that you somehow remember and would like to keep, please, absolutely let me know. But otherwise, I'm scrapping everything and starting over fresh.
So welcome in, I'm so very glad to have you. I look forward to many excellent adventures to come!

Starter Call
//Tentatively back here, but I'm not up to chasing down old threads yet. So like this post for a starter from Jack Harkness. If you're a sideblog or multimuse, please leave a comment stating who you would like a starter for.

Open Starter - Eighth Doctor
“What’s wrong with a little childish hope?” the Doctor replied.  They watched the other for a moment as though they were seeing through them, seeing something beyond them.  There was something almost melancholic about the Doctor’s expression.  “After all, sometimes a bit of childish hope is all we have.  But that’s enough, isn’t it?  Hope.”

Hey if ya got problem with someone on here or in rl you sort it with them.We aint got time for your little dramas or your insignificant problems. Some of us have people we lost. we aint here to fix your problems we dont want to listen to your whining its getting reaklly boring you do every time you come on ust get some bloody prespecxtive will ya r so jog on and quickly and have a pity party somewhere else Thank you!
//You do realize the "unfollow" button is there for a reason, yes? I do, as a matter of fact, take issue with petulant idiots who can't simply click a button and would rather tell someone else how to run their blog. Kindly fuck off.
I do this for fun. It's meant to be a way to decompress. And yes, that includes occasionally talking about my life. Lord knows I could use a way to decompress with all the stress lately. Therefore, I will not take my "pity party" elsewhere, as Nonnie so rudely demanded. I will, instead, continue to run my blog however I damn well please. If you don't like it, leave. People like Nonnie are what's wrong with the RPC these days.
Additionally, seeing as people are going to abuse the anon ask option, I'm turning it off. If you have something nasty to say, don't be a fucking coward about it. For the people who use that option because they're genuinely uncomfortable or anxious about making contact, my deepest apologies.
