okay you know who is underappreciated, felix. this guy believes that penguins are the solution to every problem, like why wouldn’t you love someone like that??? he can literally summon a whole squad of penguins from antarctica, like i want him to be my best friend thank you.

So I’ve recently been thinking about… well, everything. All of the series in the Riordanverse. I know I say pretty often (mostly on my Instagram) that I love Miraculous Ladybug more than Percy Jackson and tbh I keep wondering why I made a pjo fan account. But I’ve been looking through a lot more Riordanverse content recently and then all of a sudden, something just hit me. All of the memories came flooding back from when I first read Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus et cetera. I was reminded of how much I loved this whole series, how much of an effect its had on my life. These books shaped me into the person I am today. It may not be my favorite book series ever (its still in my top three mind you), but now I remember how much I truly care about it. All of these characters gave so many kids a home and I finally realize that I was one of them too. That sense of excitement I got from when I read the Last Olympian for the first time was probably one of the happiest moments I have ever experienced. Percabeth was ten-year-old me’s entire life. Reading about their first kiss at Mount Saint Helens? The underwater kiss? Their first I love you? Beautiful. All of the series were just a rollercoaster of emotions and I enjoyed the ride so much, I’d take it again any day. I genuinely cannot express my love for all of the characters. But I’m sure most of you already know what I mean when I say all of this. I love these books so so much and I am so happy that I read them because I don’t know what kind of a person I’d be without them. To all of the characters who made my childhood and are obviously never gonna read this: Thank you. Thank you for being there for so many of us when we had no one. Thank you for giving us a reason to smile. Thank you for showing us that nothing is impossible. Thank you for all the hard times you’ve gotten us through. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us, done for me. Thank you.

the parallels are real, okay okay hear me out, luke’s and yondu’s “redemption” was actually so similar. yondu’s line was “i ain’t done nothing right my whole damn life rat, you need to give me this,” and luke’s was also sorta similar, right?

percy: well, of course i have issues!

percy, pointing to poseidon: that’s my freakin’ father!

grover: you feel love. 

percy: yeah, i guess i feel a general love for just about everybody. 

grover: no! romantic, sexual love. 

percy: no, no i dont.

grover, pointing to annabeth: for her!

*all of camp-half-blood starts cackling*

jason: i’m uncertain about parting ways.

percy: god, you’re like an old woman.

jason: because i’m wise?

thalia: stab luke if he does anything suspicous. 

annabeth: mhm

thalia: or if you feel like it. 

luke: set me free, you’ll need my help.

thalia: im not a fool, luke.  

luke: you are a fool if you deprive yourself a hand in combat. 

thalia: you’ll attack us the moment we let you go. 

luke, terribly trying to lie: no i won’t.

percy: you’d think an evil supervillain would learn how to properly lie. 

chiron: i have to warn you against breaking any laws in the future.

leo: question. what if i see something i wanna take, and it belongs to someone else. 

chiron: you will be arrested. 

leo: but what if i want it more than the person who has it?

chiron: that’s still illegal. 

leo: that doesnt follow- no i want it more sir. don’t you understand?

thalia: what if someone does something irksome and i decide to remove his spine. 

chiron: that's actually murder. 

thalia: hmm

percy: i have a plan.

leo: a plan? i don't even believe you have a plan.

percy: i have part of a plan. 

thalia: what percentage of a plan do you have?

annabeth: you don’t get to ask questions after the nonsense you pulled. 

thalia: i just saved percy.

percy: we’ve already established that you destroying the ship i’m on is not saving me.  

thalia: when did we establish it?

percy: like three seconds ago!

thalia: i wasn’t listening. i was thinking of something else.

*percy and jason making leo frustrated*

leo: you’re making me beat up grass!

jason: how are we gonna leave?

percy: well, he’s got a plan. right? or is that another thing you made up?

leo: i have a plan, i have a plan.

thalia: cease your yammering and relieve us from this irksome confinement. 

percy: yeah, ill have to agree with the walking thesaurus on that one.

thalia: do not ever call me a thesaurus.

percy: it’s just a metaphor dude.

leo: she’s very literal, metaphors are gonna go over her head.

thalia: nothing goes over my head. my reflexes are too fast. i would catch it.

annabeth: im going to die surrounded by the biggest idiots in the galaxy.
