Do you have any recs for a villain being whumped? Maybe by a higher up or by the good guy as leverage? Thx :3

Hey nonny, you're actually my very first Ask I've ever gotten! :)

Uuh, the villains. Love them. I don't know why they always choose the hottest actors to play the bad guys 😅

Just be warned, some might end in character death...

Who came right to my mind is Billy Russo, played by Ben Barnes. He has a hard time throughout the series, getting in fights, especially with the anti hero Frank Castle, ending up beaten, bloody (1x13), and even shot (2x13).

Well, again with the wonderful Ben Barnes, he plays General Kirigan in Shadow and Bone. Very very (very) slight whump, but some small scenes throughout season 1 and 2. And I love some emotional whump, and this man is pretty sad if you tend to emphasise with the bad guys.

Well, this one is probably one of my favourite Whumpees, BUT, he's not particularly a villain. John Murphy from The 100. He starts off as the typical bad guy douchebag, but has the greatest character arc in my opinion and gets through soo much hurt all the seasons! Beaten (a LOT), stabbed (end of season 1, and beginning of s2, 6x01, 6x08), shot (5x13).

You've probably heard of Loki before, but if not, he also starts off as the villain but tends to get more anti hero. He gets beaten by the Avengers/his brother etc, in the Thor series, Avengers 1 and has some slight whump in the Loki series (but here he's getting into the role of the anti-hero).

Another "bad guy who will end anyone who comes in their way or hurts their loved ones" type are Damon and Klaus from the Vampire Diaries. Damon was already more of the bad guy from the very start, but Klaus was more like the villain. Well, he ended up in the "misunderstood bad guy" path aswell.

I hope some of these aren't familiar to you and could help you find what you were looking for. Most of my favourites are more like the anti-hero part with a great redemption arc. So except for Billy Russo and kind of Kirigan and Klaus in the beginning they weren't exactly Villains.

Another one I've got of a very long lasting whump is from "Lost":

Sawyer gets shot (in the shoulder) last episode of season 1, lasts up to about episode 2x10, bullet removal by himself, Infection, has to keep going, collapsing, needs help walking, getting carried, unconscious, feverish, he's also pretty stubborn and doesn't really want any help throughout

The "Helix" episodes last from I think 1x06 to 1x10:

Stabbed in the stomach with a pickaxe, taken hostage (hes the "bad guy" here), getting cared for, some side holding, grunting, fighting, bleeding and stitched up again 2 times from previous female hostage taker

Hey, I'm currently lacking in whump again. Do you know any good episodes of a whumpee that got hurt somewhere in the torso, which actually takes some episodes to heal? So wound reopening, sewing up again, fever, collapsing, holding the side, whincing, etc are Premium ^^

Special bonus points if the guy is the "bad guy" and gets cared for by his enemy for information etc and they slowly warm up to each other.

I just rewatched the Sergio scenes from Helix for the thousandth time again, seems to be pretty unknown, but I loove the whump. It also lasts a few episodes and his "enemy" has to stitch him up again like 3 times. But the rest of the story is pretty bad in my opinion and season 2 just vanished the build up relationship.

Hello! That is a very good request but unfortunately hard to fulfill. Most whump takes place within just one episode and the characters are either perfectly fine in the next or at most have like a sling or something. That's a dream scenario right there. Multi episode whump, fever, collapsing, plus some bad guy/antihero whumping? I never watched Helix but that sounds amazing.

Oh man I am going completely blank. All the multiple episode long whump i can think of aren't torso related whumps. I've got exhaustion (9-1-1), beaten and taken captive (Outlander).

Mike Warren's gunshot wound in Graceland is multiple episodes long. Shot in season 2 finale, in the hospital and in pain in 3x01, taking painkillers for a few more episodes then gets addicted to pain meds which climaxes in 3x08.

Game of Thrones season 2 and season 3 Jaime Lannister has a very not good time. Full of whump. Long term captivity, loses a hand, infection, etc.

Once Upon a Time 5x12 - 5x15 Hook is being tortured and he's covered in blood and holds his ribs in pain.

Quanitco 1x07 - 1x08 Ryan is shot in the stomach. Alex has to perform field surgery on him.

Homeland 5x04 - 5x08 Quinn gets shot in the stomach and he can’t go to a hospital

Emerald City 1x01 - 1x02 Lucas is tied to a cross with barbed wire, rescued, can barely move his arms, is hiding a torso injury, injury becomes bad and he collapses, is weak, and then gets poisoned.

Followers? You guys got anything? I'm going blank.

Could anyone help me out with finding whumpy tv shows to this kind of tropes? Because I'm again lacking for some good shows again 😆 I read so many good tropes and I'm pretty sad that I can't seem to find shows with it.

So I'm looking for a show where the whumpee is either shot or stabbed and he plays it down like saying "I'm fine", but you can maybe see him sweating, holding his wound, wincing while standing up etc, leaning against something maybe even (almost) collapsing at some point. He maybe doesn't really want to get checked and worried about, so it probably just gets worse, reopenes, or lasts longer. It has to last several episodes even if it's just wincing, holding his side etc sometimes.

What's also really good, is if that person gets into a fight or just a little angry push or beating from a "friend", maybe even hitting on the wound itself (best thing).

But it's just soo raaare. Well maybe, because I've almost seen it all 😂 Do you know any series like this? Could also be a movie, at least something 😆

If y'all like those ones too, I'm leaving some recommendations here myself.

The first one I can think of is Homeland in season 5 I think, Quinn gets shot (and this is probably one of the beeest shot acting scenes I've ever seen, if you know anything similar just contact me please 🥺). He doesn't want help, but gets it anyway. Bleeds a lot, but doesn't want to show it and is just like, I'm fine, and even drags himself up and walks a while and uses all his power to open a big container. Gets in a fight later and hit on that wound and it's just so good.

Okay, the next is Graceland with Mike Warren, he gets stabbed and shot over the seasons, and gets pushed on the ground and beaten later on, while still wounded.

Murphy from the 100, well he gets hurt a whole lot, one example is the beginning of season 2. He got stabbed in the previous season and is still injured, bandaging his leg, limping but keeps on walking. Asks for a break at some point.

28 days later (movie) with really young Cillian Murphy 😄. A little like walking dead, he wakes up from a coma and sees himself in a infected zombie world. He keeps on walking up the stairs saying he's fine, until he gets dizzy because he hasn't really eaten and pretty much just woke up from a coma. So he eventually takes a short break.

Another movie I love is Triple Frontier with Charlie Hunnam. He gets shot, and it's also one of the best actings *chef kiss*. While getting first aid, holding his friends hand, and being obviously in pain, he just goes with "I'm okay". It's sadly lacking a bit of worry and comfort later on for me, but he gets asked sometimes if he's alright. Getting asked if he's fine when he's obviously not, but goes with it, it's just good
