A Dance Rarely Comes Alone
Tumblr media
A/N: We're back again with another collab with none other than @lovelynim. This is our 25th story and for this occasion we decided to write another Genshin Impact story ft. Lyney and Aether. Waiting for this game never gets boring and we both had a great time while working on this piece. I hope you'll enjoy this little "show" we created for you...
Summary: A magician teaches a certain Traveler to dance, with some unconventional methods, forgetting that he still had some business to attend to... leading to a giggly situation - for both of them.
Words: 6,961 words under the cut
Lyney walked around the stage with a confident smile on his face. This wasn't one of the tricks he was familiar with, but he rehearsed it enough times to try to put on a little show - he wanted, and needed, to impress his guest, after all. "And under my command, this doll shall disappear!" Lyney announced, with his back turned to his audience and said doll supposedly covered by his cape "In 3... 2... 1!" With a swift motion, Lyney pulled the cape to reveal an empty table, the doll was no longer there, almost as if vanishing into thin air. The magician turned his attention to his audience - a row of 20 empty seats and a single taken one. His eyes met Aether's, who've been watching this little performance all this time "Ladies and gentlemen, this was Lyney's and... ahm..." He stopped mid-sentence. Right, he was by himself, Lynette refused to join him in "extra work". "Well, Lyney's magic show~" He chuckled, winking at his one-man-audience.
Aether's eyes sparkled with excitement as he jumped up from his seat, giving him a standing ovation, the appreciation he deserved, his claps echoed in the empty theater. "That was amazing, Lyney! Is this the new trick you wanted to show me? How did you do even do that? Haha I bet the audience will love it." I certainly did, he finished in his mind. He always loved watching him perform, his acts had something truly magical, not the magic tricks of course. His charisma, the way he captured ones' heart, how he rejoiced when he could see the audiances' happy faces... the way his eyes began to shine when he looked at him and- The blonde quickly shook his head, no, that was not the right time nor place for it. He looked up at the other, smiling. "You truly are amazing, Lyney~"
Lyney kept his head down for a couple more seconds before straighten his posture. It was no secret that Lyney was the attention-seeking type, but there was something different about hearing Aether praise him like that. Something that made him feel warm ever since they first met "Thank you, thank you, it was a pleasure to have you all today!" Lyney sighed, sitting on the edge of the stage. There was a change in his expression and Aether could tell Lyney got out of his character, leaving his stage's facade behind "Did you really liked it? Or was you performing to me as well, Traveler? Deceiving me just so you wouldn't hurt my feelings? ~" He hummed, tilting his head as he swung his feet in the air.
Aether could sense the other's uncertainty, a habit he had picked up on shortly after they've grown closer. Up on stage, Lyney reflected the perfect artist, full of confidence, like a beaming ray of sunshine, catching the audience and keeping them glued to their seats. But if you got to know him better, gazing behind his multifarious mask, you get to see another side of him. The magician put a lot of thoughts into his tricks, endless hours of training, to reach the best possible outcome. Aether knew that, he had seen him struggling before, overcoming his obstacles and create something truly beautiful... he just needed a light push. He walked over to him and grabbed both his hands, squeezing them gently as he spoke. "Of course I liked it, Lyney. Up there on stage you shine like the sun, and you can really feel how much work you put into your performance... it's something only you can accomplish and that's something you can be proud of," he tried to encourage, smiling up at him warmly.
Lyney giggled, pulling one of his hands away from Aether so he could cover his lips while doing so "I was just jesting, my dear Traveler," Lyney mused, looking at Aether with the corner of his eyes, "you are too kind to be able to deceive people. It makes my heart flutter to think I could spark such a genuine reaction from you." Lyney declared charmingly, almost as if reading some sort of poem. The magician gently squeezed Aether's hand and brough it up to his face before planting a gentle kiss on Aether's knuckles. "Thank you for being such an amazing crowd," he smirked, reaching for Aether's ear with his free hand, "here is a token of my gratitude, mon cherri," Lyney whispered before making a rose appear from behind Aether's head. After smelling the flower's scent, he handed it to Aether, watching his reactions*
Lyney surely knew how to make ones' heart pound and he was a real expert in it. His charming way of speaking, like the sweet nectar of morning dew, his hand holding his own in such a gentle manner as if he was scared to hurt him, the kiss, tender like a gentle breeze... all these little things that made him so special. The blonde had been speechless for a second, a slight blush covering the tips of his ears. In just a blink of an eye the magician had once again made his inside tingle with butterflies, a warm and comfortable feeling. Aether accepted the flower, his hand shaking a bit before he took in its scent. "...Y-You are giving me too much credit, I've only spoken the truth. I like watching you perform and whenever I see you up there, I realize how grateful I am for you being a part of my life," he mumbled, before he shly stroked some loose strands of hair behind his left ear, placing the rose behind it. "Although you can be the quite the teaser sometimes..." he added with a grin.
"Who, me?" Lyney gasped, pointing at himself with an overly dramatic act. "Teasing you has never ocurred to me, Aether, not even in my wildest and livid dreams!~" Lyney quickly hopped out the stage's edge, wrapping one hand around Aether's waist and holding the other in front of his chest. Lyney smiled, forcing the Traveler into the role of his dance partner was easier than he expected it to be. "But!" Lyney hummed, taking a few steps to the left and "dragging" Aether with him, "if I were to tease you, I would dare to be a little bolder..." Lyney whispered, drumming his fingers on Aether's side while making sure to properly conduct the dance. "This would definitely not be one of the topics I'd like to be subtle about, you know?" Lyney smiled, gently tracing shapes on Aether's side while keeping him on a tight hug.
Aether flinched slightly as he felt the sudden touch on his side, five fingers wiggling lightly over his bare skin as they continued to spin around in the empty theater. The sensation sent ticklish waves throughout his body and Aether tried to hold back the laughter that wanted to get out of him. "Pffft... waHaHahit~ LynehEhney~" he giggled, his lips twisted into a bubbly smile. That wasn't what he had expected to happen, but the grin on the ash-blonde's face spoke volumes and he could feel his face heating up. He tried to free his hand out of his grip, but the other was holding him tightly, not giving him the chance to escape his light tickle attack that got stronger. "NohoHohot tehEHehre~" he laughed in a high-pitched voice when his hand got a bit too close to his lowest rib and the blonde had to look away, not able to face the other, not able to look into these beautiful violet eyes that were just inches away from his own.
Lyney hummed a chuckle, nuzzling his cheek against Aether's and even going as far as to give it a little peck "Don't you know how to dance, mon cherri? Let me teach you, just like Father did to me..." Lyney whispered on Aether's ear with a sweet, delicate voice. He was close to almost take Aether's earlobe between his lips - but he didn't... for now. While pulling Aether's hand upwards, Lyney continued to attack the Traveler's side with his other hand, pinching just below his ribs and even squeezing his hip from time to time. "Like this, Traveler: one, two, three, four! One, two, three, four! ~" Lyney laughed, making sure to prod at Aether's side at the end of each sequence.
Aether squeezed his eyes shut when he felt Lyney kissing his check. Had he ever been so bold before? He couldn't remember him ever acting like this, well not that he minded that much. However, he couldn't follow this train of thought because the next thing he knew was him hearing his voice right next to him, as if he was inside his mind, hot air tickling his ear, making him squeak in surprise. "IiHIhhi doHOhon't t-think thAhHat she teHheached you daHAhnciHing lihike tiHihis~" he laughed, trying to bend his body to evade his hand - he failed.
"Indeed, my dear Traveler," Lyney chuckled, rubbing small circles over Aether hips, using the same arm around his back to press their bodies together. "She didn't take my mistakes so... lightly back then..." Lyney mused, continuing to give their "choreography" all of his attention, pushing and pulling his partner around the empty stage. Lyney wasn't the other getting tickled, but for some reason he couldn't stop smiling either, even thought he couldn't remember finding dances so amusing... "However..." Lyney suddenly announced out loud before stepping behind Aether's leg, making him trip over it. However, just as Aether was about to fall, he could feel Lyney's arms wrapping around his leg and back, preventing him from falling all the way and, at the same time, striking a finishing pose for their imaginary audience. "...I can be a little rougher if your heart desires so, mon cherri," Lyney smirked charmingly, looking down at Aether's flustered expression.
The blonde blinked a few times, letting Lyney's words sink. Just a moment ago he had swung him around, only to make him fall and capture him in this clichéd pose. Aether gulped nervously and unconsciously clung to the other, knowing full well that he would never let him go. "Um, well... I... I think that..." He struggled for the right words, unsure what to say. The thought alone of allowing him to do what he had in mind... letting him tickle him to his heart's content and maybe do... some other things was already tempting enough and to his surprise, not so unwanted as he might've thought. The other had always been a touchy person and Aether was fond of skinship, especially if it was with close people, people like Lyney. His heart was beating so fast that Aether thought it could jump out of his chest at any second but waiting any longer would be even harder for him. He took a deep breath before he made up his mind and came to a conclusion. "J-Just be gentle..." he mumbled and looked to the side, his entire face getting even redder than it already was.
As for Lyney, it was no different. The magician felt like the cupid's arrow pierced his heart, making it throb and beat faster at the sight of Aether's cute, flustered expression. "V-very well, cahem," Lyney's voice cracked slightly as he couldn't hide the fact that he was a tad nervous himself, "I shall continue with your lesson, then, but tell me, my dear Traveler..." *Lyney hummed before pulling Aether back to his feet. With an arm around his waist, Lyney pulled their bodies close, pressing them against one another. With his face barely inches away from Aether, Lyney smirked, leaning forward to whisper at his ear. "Were you also talking about dancing lectures... or did you have something else in mind just now, hm?" Lyney chuckled, pulling Aether's hand to spin him around, catching him in his arms before he had the chance to answer. "So naughty..."
"N-Naughty?!" Aether could feel a part of himself wanting to sink into the ground. Another part of him wanted to counter with just an ambiguity like he just did, but his mind was too focused on his beaut- *cough* close face right now, thoughts whirling around in his head like a storm and all he could get out were some indecisive words. "That... I... Y-You know exactly what I meant... I thought you were going to tic- ahem teaching me some more steps to improve my dancing skills," he spoke quickly, almost talking himself into something he couldn't get out of.
"Ahahah~" Lyney giggled sweetly, twirling around and stopping behind Aether. As he gently wrapped his arms around the Traveler, he rested his face on Aether's shoulders* "So, mon cherri, it may take just you to perform, but it takes two to dance," Lyney explained into his ear, holding Aether's sides before he began to slowly slide his hands down towards his hips* "Dancing takes a deep connection with your partner," Lyney hummed, looking down to where his hands were as he started to pinch over Aether's hipbones. "So can you do that for me? Can you... allow me to... understand you deeply?"
"That's... nghh... poHohossible~" Aether almost moaned, when he felt the other's touch, traveling down his flanks. He had even jerked a bit when he was pinched, Lyney's teasing giving his neck goosebumps. The blonde usually wasn't so squirmy, but with the ash-blonde it somehow... was different. It was as if the magician knew his body's reactions better than he himself and that gave the whole situation an even more stirring feeling. He turned over his shoulder, trying to look at him. "I want... to be close with you..." Ughh that sounded so embarrassing, but Aether didn't care, right now he just wanted to continue wherever this would lead them.
Lyney bit his inner lip, feeling his heart ache with happiness. He never made this far, he had never got this close to his crush and- archons, Aether was playing right where he wanted. If he wasn't the one in charge for their mood, he would be squealing right now. "As you wish~" He trailed his hands back up, his fingers barely grazing Aether's body as they went up his sides, ribs and, even for a second, his underarms. Just as Aether was about to shoot his arms down, Lyney held them by his elbows - all for his "posture's sake". "Please, dear, don't start slacking off now, yes?" Lyney teased, gently wiggling a finger up and down Aether's forearm, almost going for the kill just to slide it away right after. "You need to stand still. Your audience eyes would be glued to you, ready to catch any minor mistake..." Lyney smirked, caressing his way down from Aether's arms to his armpits, but just resting his hand against the spot, wanting to mess with him as much as he could. "Don't. Move. Aether," Lyney spoke against the back of Aether's ear, lightly tapping his fingers against his unprotected hollows.
The blonde's breath pitched up, as he fought the urge to press his arms against his body, more and more light-hearted giggles escaping his lips as he danced to his piping, keeping his arms up. No, he wouldn't relent so easily. However, as Lyney's fingertips slid over his naked skin, leaving ticklish traces along their way and the voice by his ear invaded his thoughts, overtaking him on both levels, the leftovers of the Traveler's defenses soon began to crumble. "You're m-mahAhaking it noHohot very easiHihiy~" Aether squealed when Lyney had once more wiggled into his armpits, only to grab his forearms and correcting his posture again, as if this was still a plain dancing lesson. Though, they both knew it had become something else a long time ago, a fight of two hearts, albeit the magician had the upper hand right now, his subliminal feelings overcoming the blonde. The uncertainty of when he would tickle him next was giving Aether the chills and his mind was giving him the wildest ideas.
"You are doing fantastically, Traveler. But seeing you put this much effort makes me feel a little bad..." Lyney moved his head slightly, nuzzling Aether's neck with his face to push his braid away while his hands worked to both make Aether keep his posture and keep him giggling helplessly. "And with an ache in my heart, I must tell you something." Lyney, as if holding one of his performances, stopped talking and moving. He let the silence sink in, listening to Aether's uneven breath and, if he was just a little closer, he would be able to hear his heart beating as well. "I may be a good magician, but I was never taught how to dance," he admitted, not letting Aether process the information before let his fingers dig into both the Traveler's armpits. "I have no idea in how I could teach someone like this. I was just teasing you, but I appreciate how seriously you took it!" Lyney continued his confession, not even sure if his words could be heard at that point. The magician smiled, planting a kiss on Aether's neck.
The blonde squeaked in surprise as he felt something soft on his neck, a warm bliss throbbing from the kissed spot, embracing his entire body into an indescribable comfortness. He wasn't sure if he had heard the other right... did Lnyey really never had been taught in the arts of dancing? Here he led him like a true gentleman, guiding him from step to step, from turn to turn, and everything turned out to be solely on his own experience, his own feelings? "There isn't any other person who could've taught me dancing better..." the blonde mumbled, not letting Lyney talk his skills down. Giggling lightly, Aether's right hand gently took Lyney's opposite wrist and gently guided it to his face, giving his palm a soft kiss, his back still facing the other, as he returned the favor. "...Albeit I've never been instructed with such a *unique* training method..." He gave the hand another kiss and nuzzled it against his cheek... it felt so soft, before he spoke once again. "So, tell me Lyney, won't you teach me some more things, p-please~" It may be bold to ask for more, but he wanted to see more sides of Lyney, wanted to learn more from him, wanted to understand him more, he just wanted to be even closer to the person he... to the person he loved with his entire being.
"You flatter me, Traveler," Lyney hummed, moving his hands to wrap his arms around Aether's body, pulling him into a tight hug and squeezing him as much as he could, as if the other guy would vanish into thin air at any point and leave him alone. With seconds passing by, Lyney remained with his face buried in Aether's shoulders, enjoying the comfort in having the Traveler in his arms. But he knew he had a "job" to do. Planting one last kiss on the back of Aether's shoulders, Lyney began to wiggle his fingers - which were already strategically resting against Aether's ribs. "And you amuse me too... if I knew you'd like this so much, I'd have teased you more often sooner..." The magician cooed, making sure to keep his hands in a spot that was both out of Aether's reach and awfully effective in making the blonde laugh.
The sensation was much stronger this time, ten fingers skillfully kneading and wiggling into his lower sides, proving once again how much the other must've hold back before. Lyney was really good at concealing his "talents" but after what he had just said, he didn't need to anymore, now that he knew he kinda enjoyed it. "I diHidn't thiHink y-y-you woHould leHeht me liHivie oHonce you kneHeHew," the blonde laughed in his hold, trembling, as he tried to bend from one side to the other, trying to evade the attack. However, the ash-blonde didn’t grant him that chance, his hands glued to his sides, following each and every movement. "W-WahAHAhait, I- ahHaHahhA..." Thinking about it, he should've known better, that Lyney would've teased him more. He was a big brother after all and knowing Freminet, surely also a very "affectionate" big brother. Welp, his carefree days were over now, not that minded. However, he couldn’t follow that thought as another wave of laughter overcame him. "HAHAhaHaHah! LyneHehey!!"
Lyney made sure to follow Aether no matter how much the blonde squirmed or move - but doing so was proving to be quite the troublesome task. "What's wrong? You'll make my name go to waste if you just keep calling it like that..." he teased, digging his fingers a little deeper just above Aether's hips, rubbing small circles on the sensitive skin while resting his chin on the Traveler's shoulder. "Is it tiring? I bet it must be... why don't we take a seat a make ourselves more comfortable? ~" Lyney suggested mischievously before tightly wrapping his arms around Aether's waist and pulled him back, dragging him along to one of the seats behind them. With Aether sitting on his lap - and with much less room to run around - Lyney resumed to attack both his sides and tummy, wiggling his fingers wherever he liked. "Much better, isn't it? ~"
The blonde had no control over the situation anymore, having lost it a long time ago. He couldn't do anything nor wanted he to do anything as the other pulled him over into the seat. Lyney had robbed him of the last freedom he had, making the sensations even more intensive now that he couldn't escape them anymore. Well, seeing it in a positive way, now he didn't need to worry about collapsing onto the ground. "NoHoho ihiHit's even whoHorse now!" Aether squeaked, lifting his feet from the ground as he squirmed around in a reflex, sucking in his stomach as he felt his hands wiggling over his lower midriff. But the tickling didn’t stop, as a new spot was targeted, leaving him no time to recollect himself. The other surely seemed to enjoy his current predicament because Aether was sure he could hear him snickering over his own laughter. His chin was still resting on his shoulder, his hair tickling his neck, adding to the already intensive attack. "YohoHohu arAre- aHaHhahah..." he couldn't even finish his sentence as a new wave of laughter, his own laughter, interrupted him.
"Aren't you just adorable?" Lyney giggled along, nuzzling his face in the crook of Aether's neck (even if it meant to get it squeezed by his shoulder). Archons, he knew he should be careful to not overdo it and scare his precious Traveler away - this one in a million chance, after all. "Heheh, where are we going now?" Lyney mused, grabbing Aether by his waist and pulling the blonde back into his lap when the Traveler seemed to be about to stand up and get away "I'm not done with yo-" ...creak... Lyney suddenly froze on spot as the sound of one of the auditorium's doors opening. Did he get distracted to the point of not noticing it was the time for his performance already?! No, it couldn't be it... There was a long while until the sunset, which meant it was- "Lyney, are you done?" His sister's voice soon followed in, sending Lyney into a state of alert. If she found out he sneaked the Traveler in, he was done for! "A-almost, give me a minute, yes?" Lyney answered in a hurry, slapping one hand over Aether's mouth while pushing the Traveler out of his lap. If he could keep Aether hidden from Lynette, then he could come up with some other excuse for his delay. The magician looked down, letting Aether sit on the ground, hoping the row in front of them would be enough to cover his presence. Lyney held out his index finger in front of his lips, signing to Aether to keep himself shut. "I didn't expect you to come in so soon, Lynette."
Was that Lynette's voice? Was she here to pick up him up? Aether didn't know, but whatever the reason for her presence might be... it granted him a break from his teasing, giving his poor body the much-needed chance to catch his breath. He could still feel the aftershocks of his fingers dancing over his skin and he pressed both hands over his mouth to suppress some light giggles that still wanted to get out of him. Be quite! Of course he could've called him out, revealing that he was here... BUT neither did he want Lynette to know that he was hiding with her brother, doing… some stuff nor did he want to feel the ash-blonde's revenge once he had the chance to. He let out a sigh and just stayed calmly where he was, playing along with Lyney's silent request. For now, he would just lay here on this strangely comfy floor, gathering his energy and waiting for the magician's return… and once he would come back, he could be prepared for something!
"Not sure if we have a minute, thought. What are you doing over there anyway?" Lynette complained, unamused by the fact that her brother was, again, up to something. Lyney promptly turned around, looking behind his to meet his sister's cold gaze that felt just like some sort of scolding. Lyney flinched. "I was- ahm, you know, it's important to know our audience's view. After all, we can't have a blind spoHOHot!" The magician quickly shoot a glance down, watching Aether's mischievous smile. 'Don't you dare', he muttered, turning back to Lynette. "Ahem, I mean, it would be a disaster if they could spot us behind our tricks just because of where they a-are sitting, right?" Lynette crossed her arms, not really buying his explanation. "Is it really so important? That you must do it now?"
Well... Aether had planned to stay calm, he really had, but in the end the urge to tease prevailed and his hands found Lyney's lower sides, giving them a light squeeze and seeing the expression in his friend's eyes was all the more reason to continue his admittedly justified counterattack. The blonde didn't care if they were caught by now, why should he... knowing Lynette she probably already knew he was "hiding" down here and seeing Lyney getting all flustered while he tried to don't let anything show was kinda satisfying. "What's wrong, cat got your tongue... someone's a bit sensitive down here?" the blonde whispered, a big smile on his face as his fingers wormed in the ash-blonde's hips. Oh, he was gonna enjoy these precious seconds and he wouldn't let him escape so easily, one of his hands wrapping around his left leg, five fingers wiggling into his covered knee pit, the thin fabric adding to the ticklish sensation. Let's see how our beautiful magician will free himself from this special trap of mine, the blonde thought, completely in tease mood right now.
Lyney pressed his fingers into the seat's armrest, trying to free his leg from Aether's grip while putting all his remaining strength in attempts of prying the Traveler's hand off his hip. If he wasn't at the verge of getting scolded by his sister for flirting in working hours, Lyney wouldn't really mind Aether getting him back. The feeling stirring up within his body, the nice sensation forcing him to smile... yeah, he couldn't really complain about that. But he could complain about the hearing he would get. "I-ihihit is importahahant!!" Lyney giggled, pushing the Traveler's face away while he desperately tried to protect his body from Aether's touch. Lynette narrowed her eyes, already feeling that there was something off. "Brother, are you... laughing?" Damn it! "N-nohoho! I-I just- hnngh, feehehel fuhuhunny!" Lyney groaned, looking at Aether with the hopes it would be enough to plead for mercy - or a break, at least.
When their eyes met, Aether just stuck out his tongue, not even spending one single thought of considering to stop his attack. No, he wouldn't give Lyney the salvation he was hoping for, not this time. He chuckled as his other hand squeezed his hip again, sending shivers throughout the magician's body. This really seemed to be a sensitive spot for him and he was doing better than he expected him to do. The other still tried so hard, Aether almost felt sorry for him, hehe almost. "You really need to work on your poker face, Lyney, come on you're a magician, show the audience your best smile~" Aether cooed from below, worming his fingers under the thin fabric that was covering his leg, skin touching skin as his fingertips slid over the back of his thigh, leaving goosebumps as he did so.
"Pfft- ahahah, I cahahan't!!" Lyney cried out, throwing his head back in a fit of giggles and leaning on the seat. Part of Lyney knew this was a losing battle and that Aether wouldn't stop no matter what, but he guessed that trying to resist it was part of the fun, after all. "What? What do you mean you ca-" Lynette walked over, trying to figure out why her brother was acting so strangely. However, as soon as she got close enough, the girl could spot those familiar strands of blonde hair kneeling in front of Lyney and the pieces started coming together. "Ah, you are here too, Aether. I didn't see you before." She muttered, letting out a small sigh as she was already figuring out the reason why Lyney was taking so long to get ready "Hehehelp me, Lynehehette!!" Lyney cried, reaching out his hand towards his sister who kept standing at a safe distance.
Upon seeing the familiar face of his sister, Aether innocently smiled up at her all while he continued to tickle Lyney as if this was the most normal thing in the world. Good that she already was used to things like this, since Aether had witnessed Lyney tickling Freminet many times when he had visited the siblings for a cup of tea, though it was now his turn to be on the receiving end for once. "Ohh hello Lynette, hehe sorry for hiding here, but we had our reasons~" he giggled, the hand that had tickled his upper leg suddenly appearing on Lyney's knee pit, giving it a strong poke, causing it to buckle a bit. Using the momentum, the blonde quickly moved both hands to his hips and pulled Lyney down to the ground. His arms immediately attacked his torso and squeezed his stomach, his legs embracing him, capturing the ash-blonde in a strong hold. "We were just practicing some dancing together and Lyney decided to be a bit well… that's not important now… Can you tell me his most sensitive spot, please? If you don't mind, I mean~ Lyney surely isn't right?" he teased, kneading at his stomach, his chin resting on his shoulder as he listened to his continuous high-pitched, laughter.
Lynette's expression remained almost unchanged, watching her brother and his crush fooling around had already become part of her everyday life. Still, they could be really loud when they get excited... She sighed. "I'm not sure, maybe his-" "LynehEHEHEhette, dohOHOHohon't!" Lyney protested through a loud fit of laughter, using his hands to push Aether's face away from his, even if it meant to expose his body to more tickles in the process. "YohOHohou s-should beheh on my sihihide!" He whined, kicking his legs as he tried to crawl away from Aether, only to be pulled back into his embrace and punished with more tickles. "I already know he is keeping you here if I don't say it, brother. Could you have saved your date for after the show?" Lynette scolded, following Aether's lead and pretending her brother wasn't at the verge of melting into a puddle of laughter. "Aether, if I say it, will you let him go?" "NoHOHOhoh!! LynehEHEhette, plehehease!"
The blonde's expression brightened up, happy that Lynette seemed to be on his side for this. She could be quite biased when it came to her brothers so it made him feel especially honored that she considered telling him about it. Now he just needed one more push to get some valuable intel on his lover. Aether thought for a second, clearing his mind before he spoke up. "Hmm... I think knowing his weak spot might be enough... for now~ Okay, I'll let him go, promised~" he mumbled, before he nuzzled his face against his neck, pressing a kiss on it. "After all we have alllll the time of the world to explore it once you two are finished with wrapping everything up~" he continued, giving his neck another kiss. He knew that Lyney wouldn't let him have his way once he got free, but it would be worth it and he knew that the magician just felt as excited as him, although he reared up right now, not wanting his secret to be revealed. He must've realized that there was no turning back now.
As the "playfulness" started to give room to "loveydoveyness", Lynette let out a short groan. She cringed at the idea of her brother making out with someone. Siblings things, she supposed. "Fine. You have 5 minutes, then I will need you to let Lyney go to get ready," she said, turning around to make her way out of the auditorium. Lyney, in the mean time, let out a small sigh of relief. His sister was still willing to protect his secrets! "AhahAHAHahah, t-thank yo-" "Ah, right. Just tickle him under his arms, but I would be careful to not get hit," Lynette mused, giving Aether one last look as if she was passing the baton to him before leaving them by themselves again. "YoHOHohou trahahaitor!!" Lyney cried out, not needing to look at Aether to know what kind of expression he had at that moment. "M-mon cheheherri, plehehehease! ~ No neehehed do it!" Lyney giggled nervously, hoping he could sweet talk his way to Aether's heart.
Aether whispered a quick "Thank you" after Lynette before he focused on the other sibling again. Five minutes should be more than enough to have some more fun with him. Ahh he really wanted to see him losing it and thanks to Lynette he now had the opportunity to. The blonde made a mental note to buy her an extra-large piece of cake for his next visit, she definitely earned it. "What's wrong, is it really that bad? Hehe don't worry, I'll make it quick~" he giggled, a smug grin in his face. As his hands slowly wiggled upwards, Aether couldn't help but tease him a bit more as he felt the other's uneasiness rising. "If you won't squirm much, I'll give you a nice reward, so try to bear with it mon. Che. Rie." he whispered into his ear as his hands reached their destination, ten fingers wiggling into his unprotected holes.
"PLEHEHEASE!! ~" Lyney cried, pressing his eyes shut as he felt the heat spreading over his face, all the way to the tip of his ears. Archons, why did it tickle so damn much?! The magician pressed his arms down as hard as he could, his hands clenched while he tried to squirm his way out of Aether's embrace. "AhahAHAhah, I-I cahahan't! Aetheheher, n-nohOHOhot thehehere!!" Lyney laughed, barely making some sense out of his own words. All Lyney could focus was Aether's touch and his words... if he wasn't so flustered and busy laughing, he would be feeling angry at his sister's betrayal.
"Please, what? Tickle you more... of course Lyney, I didn't know you would like being tickled here that much~" Aether teased, his hands vibrating against the ash-blonde's weak spot. It felt like the other was melting against him, completely lost in his own laughter that seemed to rise with each passing second. "I really wonder why you went for your outfit… I mean its stylish and you look kinda ho- ahem cool in it, but it also makes it so damn seductive to tickle these two adorable spots of yours," Aether joked, massaging his thumbs in circling movements over the bare skin, exercising different pressures with each rotation.
"AhaHAHahah- Aetheheher!!" Lyney cried out in mirth, wrapping his arms around his own chest in the hopes it would strength his defenses against the merciless tickling. Lyney's cheeks were in a bright shade of pink and just about to start hurting from smiling so damn much. "M-my ohohoutfit is nohOHO- AhaHAHa!! Nohot meahahant for t-tihihickl- aHAhahachons, slohohow dohohown!!" Lyney wheezed, already starting to give up the idea of fighting back at that point. Sure, he probably deserved a thing or two for messing with Aether earlier, but he never expected the Traveler to be this merciless when it came to his paybacks.
""Not meant for tickles", hmm~ I see, I see and yet you granted me a free pass to tickle you right here," he teased, increasing the pace of his wiggling, before he slowed down again, giving the other some moments to catch his breath, he wasn't a monster after all. "It's funny how a simple touch causes you to make these adorable sounds. You should consider adding this element to your show... whereas," he faltered, bringing his lips close to his left ear, "then I wouldn't be the only one who would've seen this cute side of yours anymore, so let's rather save it only for moments like this, with just you and me, how does that sound, mon cherie~" he cooed, chuckling into his ear.
Lyney felt his body going limp in Aether's embrace once the tickling finally eased. The magician rested his rest back into the Traveler's shoulder, panting heavily while listening to Aether's sweet words on his ear. "H-how charming of you, Traveler..." Lyney mused, lazily lifting his arms and wrapping them around Aether's neck to pull his face even closer. "You are truly... a very charming... and dazzling man..." His words barely made it out of his lips before Lyney made his move, tilting his head to steal a kiss from Aether. "I was the one doing the laughing... so why are you blushing now?" Lyney teased back, caressing Aether's cheek as he looked at him with the corner of his eye.
The blonde opened and closed his mouth, feeling his head heating up. Even in a situation like this, Lyney somehow managed to catch him off guard, stealing a kiss from him. He really was a magnificent magician after all. He eased his hold, bringing a little bit more space between their bodies and gently grabbed the other by his chin, guiding his head to the side, before he pressed a soft kiss on his lips. He closed his eyes, feeling his blood boiling in his veins as the emotions seemed to overcome him. "Y-You not only stole your reward... you also captured my heart Lyney," he mumbled, pressing another kiss on his cheek, longer and more passionate this time. "It's... not fair that you've got the upper hand right now, it should be me instead," he continued, giving his other side a kiss as well. "I wished that moment could last forever... My heart... do you feel it, it's about to burst," he mumbled, half in trance as he led one of his hands to his chest, letting him feel his heart beat.
"Is it my fault that you feel like this, Traveler?" Lyney smiled softly, fully turning around to straddle Aether's lap. Thankfully, his acting skills didn't leave him behind, otherwise it would be hard to look cool in front of Aether at that moment. "We are running out of time, Traveler... there should be a minute or two before my sister comes looking for me. And you worked so hard to get her favor... we shouldn't make her angry now, right?" A short giggle escape his lips. Lyney leaned forward, pressing his forehead against Aether's and taking a deep sigh, full of contempt. "I guess this means I should take my leave now, right?"
The blonde remained silent, savoring this moment, their close bond that seemed to be stronger then never before. He didn't want to let go, wanted to touch him more, feel him more, be close to him even if it was for a single second longer. "Do you really have to leave already..." he mumbled, the disappointment clearly audible in his voice. But Aether knew he had to, and it wasn't like they would part ways for long. Looking into his violet eyes, the Traveler gently brushed a strand of hair out of his face, caressing his cheek. Lynette would be back any minute but he still wanted to convey his thoughts to him. "M-Maybe we can continue this once you get back... there's still something I wanna do~" he said, planting another kiss on said spot, his eyes filled with warmth and love.
"I'm counting on that, Aether," Lyney hummed, picking up his hat from the nearby ground and placing it back on top of his head. "But you should get going too, after all... It won't be the same if you're not there to watch me." With a charming smile - like always - Lyney got into his feet, offering a hand to help the blonde stand up again. "I will be waiting for you in the backstage once the show is over, mon cherri ~" Lyney whispered, turning around and walking through the same door Lynette came through earlier, leaving the Traveler alone - for now - to get ready for the stage that waited for him.

The Magic of Laughter
Tumblr media
A/N: A little gift for a certain someone's birthday we celebrate today. I don't know when you will see this or if you're even into this fandom, but I wish you a wonderful and happy birthday. You're an important friend and I hope you'll like this story~
Summary: Stark gets the honor of testing out one of the new spells Frieren and Fern discovered - with very interesting consequences.
Words: 1,488 under the cut
29 years after the death of Himmel the hero, somewhere in the Northern Lands woods
"I told you we should've taken the left way," Fern said in a grumbling voice as she walked a few steps behind a visibly battered Stark. "Come on, it's not my fault..." he whined, turning his head, jerking. "Don't look at me like that, the forest is already scary enough."
"Ms. Frieren, can I shoot him?" Fern mumbled, puffing out her cheeks at his comment, grabbing her wand a bit harder. "Frieren-san, Ms. Fern is mean again!" Said elvish girl let out a soft chuckle, looking at her two companions.
"Getting lost is all part of the adventure, besides somewhere out there is a hidden grimoire so onwards," she said enthusiastically, as always when it came to finding another magical book with another usel- ahem helpful spell in it. "Sigh… If you say so…" "Hnn, I just hope we don't encounter any monsters."
The party had gotten the location from an elderly woman after helping her out cleaning her garden. Thus, they had made their way through the nearby forest, searching for a cabin in which the book should still be hidden. Did it raise suspicion that and old lady left a magical book all alone in the middle of nowhere?
Not really... she even gave them some sweets, so she couldn't be bad, right? They had walked for almost a half an hour already, taking different trails when finally, finally a wooden cabin came into sight. "That must be it," Frieren exclaimed, passing her team members in a rush before she started to search for the hidden "treasure".
"I hope we really find something here," Fern thought out loud, watching her master rummaging around the interior, before a dusty book came to light. "I found it~" Frieren exclaimed happily, holding it up in the air. "Well at least she did tell us the truth," the purple-haired girl, sighted, relieved that they didn't waste their time.
Stark looked curiously over at her, peaking an eyebrow. "So... what does it do?" he asked, Frieren's excitement having infecting him a bit as well. The elf opened the book and scanned the old pages, her eyes flying over the lines as she translated them in her mind. "A spell that makes you feel ticklish?" Frieren announced, her eyes sparkling with interest.
Fern shook her head in disbelief. "Ms. Frieren all the effort for a spell like this?" "Y-Yeah, who needs that?" Stark stuttered a bit, his lips trembling. The younger mage looked at him, an idea crossing her mind. "...Could it be that you're sensitive Mr. Stark?" she asked and the gasp that followed only confirmed her suspicion.
Frieren turned her head towards the redhead as well. "Is something wrong you two?" "Mr. Stark just said that he wanted to test it out for us," Fern said monotonously, side-eying the male. "H-Hey what are you saying?" Stark complained, holding out both arms in distress. "I didn't say anything like this, I'm not even ticklish in the first place!"
"Great, I wanted to see its effects and how it works~" "Depending on the outcome we might even us it in a fight to distract demons~" "Are you two listening, heeey?" Stark whined, being completely ignored by the two mages. "So, I just have to read it out... like... this..." "Good luck Mr. Stark, you can do it," Fern added, seeming oddly happy by the outcome.
Frieren hold out her wand and spoke the magical glyphs that would activate the spell. "Knismesis altara Gargalesis~" "I didn't sign up for this, no, no noHo!" Stark narrowed his eyes, not believing his misfortune. Yes, maybe he was a bit sensitive okay, but why did he had to act as a guinea pig again. What did he even do to deserve this?
As soon as the words were spoken several pairs of white hands appeared in the air around the redhead, floating midair without any signs of an attack. When nothing happened, Stark opened his eyes, curiously, only to be freaked out by them.
"WaHAhh!! What is this, they're flying, I doHoHonon't aHAHAHhahAAhh, noHOhoOHohoh~" he immediately broke into loud, belly laughter as the hands suddenly attacked, shooting towards him, targeting several parts of his body, wiggling, kneading and sliding over them.
Fern and Frieren looked at him with curious and satisfied eyes as their melee fighter was reduced into a giggly little something. "AhHAHAHAhahah! WhAHAhahaht thEHEHhe- haHAHAHAHahah~" Stark laughed, being caught completely off guard.
"I see, so it manifests physical stimulation by focusing on the target's weak spots. Though, it's still not clear if it can be classified as an offensive spell or rather a supportive one, since no real harm is exerted," Frieren lectured, in-between the other's laughter.
Even though the hands were magical by nature, they felt just like real ones and no matter how much Stark tried to break free and run away from his captors, the hands were following him, as if they could foresee his body movements, leaving no room to escape the ongoing tickle attack.
"HahaHAHAhhha, ihIHihit tiHihickles~" the redhead whined, as hands kneading his lower sides, and slide down his back, making him shiver and sending ticklish waves in almost every fiber of his body. Another pair poked into his knee pits, his legs became wobbly, and he sank to the ground like a dying warrior.
"I almost feel sorry for him," Fern said as she watched the whole spectacle in front of them and yet you could see a light blush on her cheeks. She had never seen Stark's this expressional, let alone hearing him laugh so freely, even though it was forced.
She herself also wasn't a person with a strong facial expression, so it felt oddly cute, yes cute to see him like that. Frieren however had a more analytical view on the situation, mumbling to herself how the hands may work and how they knew where they had to aim. The spell had indeed no real harm itself, so she could be a bit more inquisitive than usual.
"It's really impressive how strong they seemed to be, I thought Mr. Stark would be able to overpower them..." Fern mumbled as she watched the warrior being pinned-down on the grass. Some hands had pulled his arms up, securing them on his wrists above his head. Two hands were wiggling before his face, as if they were teasing him.
"NohooHOhoo, ehEHevryWhEhehre buHUhut thehEhhre, ahAhahahh noHohoho, h-heEHehhhelp," Stark broke into high-pitched laughter as the hands came closer and closer. His bucking became stronger, but the hands knew no mercy and when they were just inches away from the unprotected holes, they wiggled in and Stark was dying.
"HAHAhhaHAHAhahh, p-pleHEhehehahse, Fern-san! FriHiHiihIHeren-saAhhahan! I giHivie- aHAHahAhahah~" he begged, tears of mirth running down his reddened face. "I think we got what we wanted, though it's really a shame we couldn't see more of it~" Frieren mumbled. But she seemed to be satisfied with the results and ended the spell.
As the last hand pair finally vanished into nothingness, Stark still felt his body tingle, the aftershocks of the spell still palpable. "...ThaAhaht *pant* *pant* *cough* was sooo hard, I think I was gonna die," he whined as his giggles finally died down. Fern walked over to him and crouched down, patting his head.
"You're fine if you can still complain Stark-san, *pat* *pat*~" she told him before she got up again. "Let's return home Ms. Frieren, it's getting dark~" the mage suggested. The white-haired mage looked up into the sky which was already bathed in a dark orange.
"We should head out indeed, the village is a bit far and the Inn only serves dinner till sundown..." she said and packed the book in her suitcase before she got up. "Wait, I... I can't walk, carry me..." Stark wailed, his body jittering like that of a lost whelp. His entire strength had left him. He stretched out a hand towards the two girl who had already started walking.
Fern eyed him, sighing. "...Pervert!" she mumbled, as she started walking again, leaving him to Frieren instead. "...You can't leave me here after all I went through today." The longear turned around smiled at him.
All the laughing must've worn him out, well it doesn't help, Frieren thought, swaying her wand, and lifting him up. "You did well Stark-san, I will treat you to something nice today~" "...Thanks..." Stark mumbled, too tired to complain about being carried like luggage, again. "Ms. Frieren you shouldn't spoil him too much." Frieren turned to her and patted her head.
"You will get something nice as well~" she said, smiling when she saw a slight gleam in the girl's eyes. The white-haired mage than looked up into the sky, listening to the rustling of the leaves and the rhythmic sound of their steps. Yeah, coming here definitely was worth the effort...

That was such an adorable piece 😍🥰 You wrote Gaming so well, describing his helpful persona perfectly. It's a great story and we need more of this~
Energy to Burn
a/n: inspired by gaming's teapot dialogue (pls ignore thoma standing there menacingly i was too lazy to remove him for the pic..)
Tumblr media
for some context, a lot of ppl that celebrate lunar new year will clean their homes prior to the new year! but ya i was supposed to upload this before lantern rite and that did not happen so just pretend i did
wc: ~1.8k
summary: aether has the very relatable problem of someone else doing his chores, oh the horror
---
Hallway clean.
Counters sheen.
Kitchen kempt.
House pristine.
Aether's eyes scanned over the entirety of his living space, taking in the now well-organized room. Sloppy would be misleading in terms of how to describe himself and Aether did enjoy cleaning on the occasion, yet a certain floating companion could easily offset his progress. Compound that with constant settled dust and dirt while being away and keeping the teapot spotless becomes a massive ordeal. He did his best, he really did, but things were never exactly how Aether liked them.
Yet as much as his own reflection in the countertops was pleasing to the eye, Aether couldn't help but release a lowly sigh, recalling a conversation from the day prior.
"Now, I know you won't let me pay any rent while I'm here, 'cause we're friends and all, but I will at least insist on making myself useful. So, if you catch me cleaning or gardening at any point — don't try and stop me."
It didn't take a genius to deduce the "culprit" behind the state of the teapot and Aether soon found himself running through the hallways of the house, crying out to his guest, always taking a second to marvel at the cleanliness of each room, before bolting to a different area of the building.
"Gaming! Gaming!!"
A brief run-through of the kitchen area rewarded Aether with a clue for his efforts: a propped open backdoor to the garden area. Lo and behold, there Gaming was, kneeling down to feed the numerous cats Aether liked to bring home to the teapot, seemingly oblivious to the blond's nearby presence. The dancer's current attire heavily clashed with the colorful flora he stood amongst, adorning a simple grey t-shirt that gave a slight peek of his midriff, baggy shorts that fell past his knees, and his usual shoes improperly slipped on. As Aether approached the other, he couldn't help but notice the little tune Gaming hummed, bobbing his head along. Lacking the usual accessories, Gaming's disheveled hair flew about in the breeze without a care.
"Gaming?" Aether slowly approached the other, prompting him to practically jump in response.
"Oh- woah! Morning, boss!" Gaming giggled, catching himself in the moment. "Look at these little guys! They love the treats I brought them! Oh, and speaking of which, did you see the breakfast I made? It's nothing special, but I prepared some congee for you. I also found some pumpkins laying around and cut them up, if you'd like to add them to your dish!"
"Ah, I haven't eaten yet," Aether nodded, watching the cats devour their food, "but I just wanted to thank you for cleaning up the house."
"Oh, it's no problem-"
"But also, you really don't need to go through all this effort," Aether quickly interjected. "You're a guest here and you should really be enjoying your time, not doing my chores."
"Uh-uh, no can do, boss!" Gaming gave another grin, not a beat missed in his reply. "I've already told you that's not how it's going to fly. Plus, who says I'm not having a good time doing your chores?"
"Gaming.."
"Heh, don't sweat it," he tilted his head, before huffing in reassurance. "My po po always taught me that I should always show gratitude to my host for having me as a guest. Besides, it's almost Lantern Rite and it's customary to clean your home before then. I know this isn't my own place, but it's where I'm staying for now, so might as well!"
"Well, not to this extent." He couldn't help but sigh, feeling conflicted, yet at the same time, Gaming didn't seem to mind in the slightest.
"Don't worry about it," Gaming clicked amusedly with his tongue. "Just think of it as a productive way for me to burn all my energy for the day!"
"I suppose." Didn't really help him feel less bad about the whole thing, though.
"Alrighty then!" Gaming placed his hands on his hips in thought. "What's next on the agenda- Ah! H-Hehehey!" The sudden outburst took Aether by surprise, taking a moment to realize why. Now out of food, the cats Gaming had been generously feeding were brushing along the bare lower parts of his legs, some even pawing at his shins, meowing as if crying out for more food.
"N-No, get awahahay!" the brunet continued to giggle, hopping between each leg to avoid the encircling horde of kittens clamoring for their next snack. "H-Here!" Gaming quickly reached into his pocket, throwing out a surplus of treats that was enough to divert the attention of his new following.
And the whole time, Aether had been observing.. watching.. stewing the little idea that the teapot cats have so graciously handed to his brain on a silver platter. If Gaming had extra energy burn, he could certainly help with that.
"Whew," Gaming sighed in relief once the cats had dispersed. "Do you not feed them here? Why are they so hun- WahH! Hey! Boss, w-what're you-?! N-Nohoho! Nahahat you too!"
In his distracted state, it wasn't particularly difficult for Aether to bowl the other over, easily pinning Gaming to the grassy garden of the teapot. Once ready, Aether set his plan into motion, digging into the sides that were oh-so conveniently exposed thanks to Gaming's choice of current attire.
"You mentioned having a little extra energy to spare," Aether teased, pinching at the exposed sides in succession to create an erratic giggly response. "Thought that maybe I could help with that."
"Nahahat like thihihis!" Gaming shook his head with a smile, showing off the widest dimples adorning his cheeks. "I-I wahahas juhuhust trying to heheEHEHELP!"
Aether couldn't help but grin along, having just hit a particularly good spot that elicited the cutest squeals. He continued to make use of the newfound discovery, circling the area around Gaming's navel with the tips of his finger nails in repeated motions to draw out the contagious laughter. "Y'know this is your fault, right? If you hadn't started feeding the cats, I would have never found out you're so ticklish."
"Th-That dohohohesn't mahahake any sehehense!" Gaming kicked his legs and patted away at the hands that lightly clawed all over his midsection, but it was for naught, as Aether had no intent on stopping any time soon. "Ehehehehahaha! StahahAHAhahap!"
"I could," Aether drew out with his tongue, making sure to really dig into the vulnerable waist with incessant pokes, feeling Gaming's body lurch and his legs kick to escape the way Aether effectively straddled him, "if you promise to relax during the rest of your stay."
"NEHEHEVEHEHER!"
Aether shrugged his shoulders, perfectly fine with Gaming's stubbornness, if that's what suited him. His laughter was the best part, Aether soon realized; there was something softly warm to it, akin to nibbling into a slice of freshly baked bread. No matter the flavor of laughter, whether it be the sharp yelps from squeezing his thighs to the squeals Gaming would make whenever his navel was targeted, or maybe the bouncy giggles from tasing his sides, the lush vibrant undertones were never absent, satiating Aether's ears in the most fulfilling way possible. He was so content with the current situation that the reason the two were there nearly slipped his mind, until the sight of Gaming's tomato cheeks caught Aether by surprise.
"Hehe, oops," Aether giggled, giving his hands and Gaming a pause. "Well, have we burned enough energy for today?"
"Nuh-uh," Gaming finally shook his head. Breathless as he may be, there was still the faintest glimmer of vigor behind his smile. "I can do this all day."
"Hmph, me too." His hands poised once again, prompting Gaming's limbs to tense in response, yet Aether found himself stopping midair. If Gaming didn't break from everything tried so far, then it would only make sense to switch up his target, but where to? So far, nothing had worked, the boy seemingly a boundless well of laughter and energy, but surely there'd be something..
"What's wrong?" Gaming spoke up, his voice not having fully recovered yet. "Given up yet?"
"Heh, no," Aether lightly tweaked his hips, causing his arms to flail, before his arms landed uselessly on the grass next to.. a discarded shoe?? The blond blinked twice, taking a moment to piece together that one of Gaming's slippers must've flung off during all the kicking he was doing, which meant..
Aether quickly slid downwards, ensnaring the bare foot in an armlock before Gaming could make a move, creating what seemed to be panicked shaking from behind. "H-Hey, wait a minute," Gaming's voice could be heard running a mile a minute, as his free leg pressed against the grass in a last attempt to escape. "Okay, okay this is mean! No, no, no, you don't have to- NohohOHOHO! W-WahahahAIT!"
The effect was almost instant, as Aether scribbled up and down the sensitive sole, eliciting crackled laughter from its owner. He took a second to take a peek behind him, giggling at the scene of Gaming uselessly covering his face with his hands as muffled helpless laughter poured through. There was the occasional kick to his backside from the other spasming leg, but Aether made sure to reward those with a few rougher scrapes to his foot. "Surrender yet?"
"WahAHAHAHA!"
"I didn't hear a yes," Aether snickered, drowned out by Gaming's wailing, feeling the trapped leg buck in his grasp. His fingers ran up the length of the sole, earning himself squeal whenever he reached the base of Gaming's toes, before sliding back down to his heel.
"Okay! Okahahahay! Stahahap! I gihiHIHIVE!"
Just for good measure, Aether delivered a few more pressurized pokes to the middle of his foot, listening as Gaming slapped his hands on the grass in defeat amongst the pleading. When he eventually released his leg, Aether was surprised to see the limb fall limp instead of being pulled back to safety, though he supposed this was a good sign that Gaming's energy was finally spent.
"Urgh, why," the brunet groaned, exhausted without a doubt. "This is what I get for being a good person."
"No, it's what you get for being stubborn," Aether chided with a shake of his head, before offering his hand to help the other on his legs. Once Gaming stood up, Aether couldn't help but ruffle the disheveled mess of brown hair in an attempt at brushing away the pieces of grass caught in the strands.
"Mmm," Gaming shook his head, before running his fingers through his hair a couple of times. "Maybe you won today, but there's always tomorrow's chores. You can't totally stop me."
Aether rolled his eyes in response. "Is that so?" he said, fingers wiggling towards Gaming's sides.
"Okay, okay!" Gaming already began giggling again, jumping back to safety. "I'll learn to chill."
"Promise?"
Gaming sighed, almost as if he had something else to say, only to shake his head. "Fine, promise."

Ticklish Thoughts
Tumblr media
A/N: This show is so amazing, and I really love the developing relationship of this main pair. They both have such different personalities and yet they truly seem to be made for each other. I really couldn’t stop myself with writing a little something for these two. Hope you like it.
Summary: Sometimes certain things happen when you at least expected them to. Having Kurosawa as his roommate was one of them. Getting tickled by him was another. Becoming to like this situation... heck, even Adachi didn't couldn't have seen this coming.
Words: 1,256 words udner the cut
This really wasn't how Adachi imagined to spend his Friday evening with. One thing had led to the other and now he had won a temporary roommate. Which - in fact - wouldn't be such a big issue if said roommate wouldn't be a certain colleague of his. To be fair, Kurosawa was a friendly guy and was visibly overjoyed that he had agreed to let him stay for a few days.
Things would've also been different if there wouldn't have been his stupid ability. Granted, it still seemed like a dream to him that he was able to hear other people's mind when touching them which also gained him the knowledge of the other's affection towards him. And here he was now, sitting with him at his chabudai, enjoying a freshly-cooked dinner.
It was a bit cramped and when his foot unintentionally touched his leg it started again. "Ahh I'm eating together with Adachi, this really is a blast. He even allowed me to stay with him, I wonder if-" He quickly pulled his foot away and nervously stroke his hair before he took another sip of his beer, finishing it.
It was his third one by now, but it helped a bit to stay calm and they wouldn't have to worry about getting up early anyway. "I'm gonna get us another round," he mumbled and stood up, a bit wobbly on his legs. "I can do that for-" Kurosawa said and already was half up, but Adachi held out his hand, making him sit down again.
"You're my guest, Kurosawa-san, so I'll serve you tonight," he said and shuffled over the ground, not seeing the tiny box in his way. He also didn't see the light blush on his (not-so-)secret lover's face, which quickly switched into a shocked expression as he approached the obstacle. Adachi stumbled and lost his balance, falling forward.
He closed his eyes, waiting for the impact and the embarrassing situation that... "ADACHI!" ...never happened. In the blink of an eye Kurosawa had been by his side and caught him in his arms, pressing the other against him. Adachi slowly open his eyes again and hold his breath when their faces were only a few centimeters away from each other.
Their eyes met and time seemed to stop for a second. This was so embarrassing. "Ehh… K-Kurosawa-san, you... can let me go now..." Adachi whispered almost inaudible, his cheeks turning red - was it from the alcohol or because of the situation... well it doesn't matter. The brunette just looked at him, continuing holding him in his arms.
"I never noticed that his eyelashes are so long, ahh I learned something new about him, that makes me so happy. I hope he isn't hurt, am I holding him too tight? His shampoo smells nice, I use the same one, yay another thing we have in common, ahh I could smell it all day."
There they were again, these thoughts, these damn thoughts filling his mind again and Adachi could feel himself getting hot. The other just looked at him for a while longer before his hands unintentionally squeezed his sides. A squeak escaped his lips, and he quickly pressed a hand on his lips.
"Is he eating properly? He's so skinny. Ahh, I want to cook for him... I wonder what food he likes more?" Kurosawa's thoughts flooded into Adachi's mind as his fingers continued to travel over his flanks, softly pressing into his sensitive sides as he studied his physique.
"AhAhAhahha K-KuHurosawa-saHAhn~" the ravenhead began to laugh in-between his thoughts, but the other literally seemed to be lost in thought, not realizing what he was doing. His ears were turning red, and a single bead of sweat was emerging on his forehead.
It got even worse when the brunette had reached his ribs, worming his fingers in-between the bones, kneading into the sensitive area. "...NohHOt thehEhre~" an already weakened Adachi laughed before realization seemed to set in for Kurosawa.
"Spicy food or… rather… sweet one? …Wait, did he just? Don't tell me he's… Ahh what are you thinking Kurosawa, you have an angel right in front of you and he's laughing. I didn't see him laugh before, it's so cute, I wanna save it as my ringtone~" The brunette smiled warmly at the man, enjoying that way too much.
"I haven't heard you laugh before, Adachi-kun... you should really smile more, it fits you so much more..." "...but only when it's just me, I don't want anyone else to see it and snatch you from under my nose me when I've come so far already," he finished in his mind and Adachi was one step closer to die out of embarrassment.
Kurosawa really shouldn't worry about things like this, but he couldn't tell him that, could he? "AhahAhahAHAhha, n-noHOhohoho!!! I- I aahahAhAHhAhah~" the ravenhead tried to say, not able to control his gleeful chortles that broke out of him. His bangs were falling into his face and his blush got deeper and deeper.
He couldn't remember the last time he had laughed so much, let alone being tickled like this but to his surprise he didn't really mind much. No one besides his mother had held him so gently before and it was a whole new experience to him. Was this what being in a relationship was like?
He couldn't end his thought because the next thing he knew Kurosawa had turned him around, letting him rest in his lap as ten fingers suddenly attack his stomach, tickling over his lower midriff. "Let me hear it just a bit longer~" the brunette teased, his "inner instinct" having taking control over him.
Adachi broke the second his hands reached their goal, and he wished he could melt into the ground. "HahaHAhAhahh... whAhahhaititi, K-KuroHOhhoohho, ahHAHAhahahah~" This felt so strange and yet so soothing. Adachi didn't know what was happening to him.
One thing was for sure, if he couldn't make Kurosawa stop this instant then this evening might not end with just an innocent tickle... and he wasn't ready for this, yet... So, in his distress, he did the one thing from which he thought might make Kurosawa stop.
"Y-Yuuichi, plehEHEhease~" Adachi called out in a high-pitched voice and as if it pulled a spell on him, the fingers got slower and suddenly stopped. "Did he just- Did he really!" "You called me by my name right now, did you?" Kurosawa said excitingly and grinned like a kid who just got a big piece of cake as a dessert.
Adachi broke out of his embrace and turned around, looking at him shy. "That... That was... just- AHHh y-y-you didn't stop tickling me, so I thought that this... would...make you...stop..." He had gotten quieter with each word and looked away, not able to face the other. "Is he embarrassed? How do you think I feel right now?"
When Adachi curiously turned his head, he was faced with a blushing Kurosawa, hiding on hand behind his face. "You really making it hard for me to restrain myself..." Kurosawa mumbled and Adachi wished he would have the courage to tease him back right now.
But all he could do was giving the other a poke himself, surprised when the oh-so-perfect Kurosawa let out an embarrassed chuckle himself. "...I'll remember this Yu- ehh Kurosawa-kun..." he said. The brunette looked at him surprised and this time Adachi didn't need his magic to see what he was thinking... Kurosawa was up for another round and so was he.

Stormy Nights... Now and Then
Tumblr media
A/N: A story I wrote in late December as part of a gift exchange event among friends. I haven't uploaded the story yet out in public so here it is. The story ft. the brother-duo Clive and Joshua from the game Final Fantasy XVI.
Words: 2,250 words udner the cut
Clive opened his eyes as a deafening clap of thunder woke him up from his sleep, a glowing white light illuminating his room, casting long shadows. Rain cracked indispensable against his window, a symphonic melody in contrast to the cacophonous thunderstorm out there.
He turned to the side, letting out a soft sigh as he closed his eyes again, trying to find sleep again. Though another sound joined the nature orchestra, and he opened his eyes once again, listening up. A silent knocking could be heard at his door, followed by an almost inaudible whimper. "B-Brother... are you awake?"
"Joshua, is that you… doors open?" the ravenhead mumbled, as he sat up, wondering what was going on. The door opened with a creak and revealed his younger brother, holding a moogle plush he had gotten him on his ninth birthday in his arms, tightly pressed to his chest. He gave him a smile as he noticed his apprehensive expression.
"What's wrong, buddy?" "C-Can I sleep with you tonight? Moogy had a nightmare and- mhmm..." he interrupted himself, flinching as another sound of thunder filled the room "…the thunder…" Joshua mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper. Clive's smile grew more gentle as he pated the bed beside him. "Come here you two, you're safe with me."
The boy's face light up and he walked over to him, his bare feet made padded noises as they walked over the cold stone. The older Rosenfield lifted his blanket and Joshua immediately crawled into the big bed, the comfort of his brother's presence already easing his fears a bit. Clive wrapped an arm around him, pulling him close, the younger boy nestling against him.
"You're all comfy there? Don't worry nothing can happen you here," he told him and arranging his loyal plush friend, pressing it softly against his cheek. Joshua nodded, visibly more at ease then a few seconds ago... though when another bang filled the cloudy sky, he trembled once again and Clive sighed, not in annoyance but in worriedness.
To lighten the mood, he began to tell Joshua a story about a brave blonde knight, leaving his home to go on a journey, his words weaving a tapestry of adventures, slowing beginning to calm the other down. As the stories unfolded, Clive's fingers playfully began to dance along Joshua's sides, eliciting a series of giggles from the younger boy.
"StoHoHop iHit, Clive! That tiHIhickles!" Joshua laughed, trying to squirm away, but Clive was gentle and relentless. "It's part of the story Joshua, don't tell me you want me to stop at the best part of it?" he teased, and the little boy gasped. "NoOHohot fair, pleaseeee, continue~" he begged, and Clive chuckled as his gullibility.
"That's what I thought, so... The young knight had finally reached the cave of the big dragon, facing the beast that beaten countless of others before him, known for his inhuman powers. Full of courage he stepped in his path, ready to fight for his honor and..." Joshua listened to his story with big eyes, looking at him when Clive stopped.
"...and then what, brother, what happened next?" Clive made a dramatic pause, before he growled playfully and made a claw-like hand. "...and then the big dragon used his secret skill, attacking the blonde knight, just... like this~" he quickly added and brought his hands down Joshua's flanks, wiggling gently over his sides and stomach, emitting the most adorable sounds he had ever heard.
"WaHahahAit~ HaHAHAhaHAhah...b-big brOHohther~" Joshua whined in-between his bubbly laughter, completely caught off guard by Clive's sudden approach, his little hands clinging onto his brother's shirt as his fingers continued to press gently into his sides.
The dark-haired didn't let himself be impressed by it and continued his "mission" to take away his little brother's fear and turning it into something more delightful - thus he continued his acting for a bit longer, not able to hide a smile and a giggle as he tried to stay a serious storyteller. Their laughter mingling, drowning out the sounds of the raging storm.
"'I've found the mighty knight's weakness!' the dragon laughed, his big claw covering the poor knights' entire body, wiggling and squiggling over it in delight~" Clive teased, his fingers gently probing up to his armpits, causing Joshua to burst into more laughter.
"HahHAHAhhaha, h-hEhEhhe diHIHidn't do thAhaht!" Joshua laughed, giving up on fighting off the well-aimed scribbles of the big drag- ahem brother's hands. The blonde didn't mind which way the story had turned to and yet he wished for a happy ending at least… and he wasn't disappointed.
"Ohh he did Josh, he did... and thus the knight was pulled further into the cave, his fears soon turning into curiosity and enjoyment as he began to befriend the lonely dragon who wasn't as bad as he had thought and it is told that after he had been allowed to leave, he still chose to visit his cave till this day, his laughter still ringing as an echo against the stone walls~" he finished, his tickling slowing down and turning into soothing strokes on his back.
Clive continued this for a few moments, before speaking up again. "Feeling better now, sorry I hope I didn't go overboard?" he asked softly. Joshua smiled at him, his eyes heavy with sleep. "...Y-You didn't... thank you, Clive *yawn* You always know how to make me feel better," he mumbled softly. "I'm glad Mr. Knight and the dragon ma…de…up…"
The older smiled, watching as Joshua's breathing deepened, the fears of the night forgotten in the safety of his arms. "Sleep well Joshua," he whispered, kissing his forehead before he followed his brother into dreamland short after.
***
Years had passed since the brothers had seen each other, let alone sleeping under the same roof, being separated by the threads of fate. The world had changed, and so had they. Josuha had now become a handsome young man, who still remained the big heart he always had, and Clive had gotten more wiser and stronger, still retaining his brotherly complex love.
After a long and arduous journey, they had finally found themselves together again, under the same roof of their ancestral home, now weathered by time and memory. The night was stormy, with lightning tearing through the sky, reminiscent one of the many nights they had shared years ago.
Clive sat in his bed, lost in thoughts as he read through and old book he had found in the library. Torgal, usually not leaving his side, was staying the night with Jill for the night, being ordered to "protect" her, even though she was the last one who was in need of protection. His reverie was interrupted by a soft knock on the door, and he looked up.
"Clive, are you awake?" Joshua's voice, now deeper, yet still familiar, echoed through the room. "Yes, come in," the dark-haired responded, putting the book to the side as Joshua entered, a hesitant yet determined look on his face. He paused at the foot of Clive's bed, his blue eyes betraying a hint of the child he once was.
"Can I... Can we share the bed tonight? I don't want you to feel lonely after everything that's happened," he mumbled, rubbing the back of his head with one hand. Clive raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk forming on his lips. "Are you sure it's not because you're still scared of thunder?" he teased, recalling his fond memories of their childhood.
Like on command, a loud thunder could be heard, though Jousha seemed visibly unimpressed by it. The blonde rolled his eyes but climbed into bed beside Clive, not even waiting for an answer. "Shut it, I've grown up, Clive. I'm not that little boy anymore," he said, a slight blush on his ears being visible in the dim candlelight.
"Oh, is that so?" Clive challenged, his fingers finding their way to Joshua's side, pressing softly into it. The blonde's body flinched, and he was already starting to giggle as he tried to push the hand away. "NoHOhoho~" he laughed, leaning his head back in delight. Clive felt confident in his victory but the reaction he received was not what he had expected.
"Haha, seems to me like you are still the- woAH!" With a swift move, Joshua managed to overpower him, quickly reversing their positions and before Clive knew what was happening, he felt himself been pressed into the soft cushion with Joshua straddling him, grinning down into his surprised face.
"Maybe it's you who should be careful now," he said playfully, his hands darting towards his brother's sides. Clive immediately burst into laughter, unprepared for the ticklish counterattack. "AhHhaHAHAHah~ WahAhahAt? W-W-WahaHahit!" he gasped between laughs, trying to fend off Joshua's relentless fingers.
Joshua however just giggled, playing deaf. "What was that, Clive? I'm stronger now and you want me to continue, hehe suit yourself~" he teased and managed to catch both of his hands, pressing them over his head while worming the fingers of his free hand into his left ribcage, poking the sensitive spots in-between his ribs.
Clive was losing it and his laughter high-pitched when his brother hit an especially sensitive spot at his highest pair of ribs. "CoOHohmoe oHohon, J-JohoHoshua, I'm- ahAhahah I'm soHOorry~" Clive whined, tears of mirth running down his face as he took the blonde's revenge, his hands curling into fists as he shook them in vain.
"Oh, is this the spot brother?~ Hahaha, I didn't think you would be that sensitive~" he continued to tease him, enjoying this close and light-hearted moment, this brotherly warmth that he had missed - that he had yearned for - for so long. "NoHoHohoHo!" Clive laughed, his laughter getting louder with each passing second.
His feet were kicking behind him, his heels pressing into the soft mattress, and he was glad that they were not staying at an inn, otherwise it must sound like someone was currently murdered. The younger continued to launch his attack, listening to his brother's laughter.
He also noticed that Clive didn't seem to put that much effort into stopping him. Joshua knew how strong his brother was and right now he was not even acting half as strong as he really was, and he smiled warmly, thankful that Clive was playing along, enjoying this moment just as much as he did.
"Maybe this will make you confess~" he teased and sneaked his fingers under his light shirt, his fingertips sliding over his bare stomach, feeling muscles and warm skin under them, leaving goosebumps. He could sense them vibrating and chortles of laughter broke out of Clive as his bucking got stronger, yet somehow, he managed to hold them under control.
"HahaAHAhHAHAHA!" "Not yet, hng? You're tougher than I thought... well it would be boring otherwise~" Joshua chuckled, thinking for a moment before an idea crossed his mind and his smile turned into a sly one. Wait cold it be… it's worth a try.
"Ohh you're in big trouble now, I know where your weak spot is. Hehe... time to bring the big guns in~" he chuckled as he wiggled his free hand midair in front of Clive's face and when the ravenhead noticed where he was aiming next, the expression on his face was telling Joshua that he had hit the jackpot. "DoHohon't yoOHuh da-"
"...Dare to stop? Oh, I wouldn't dare to~" he interrupted him and before Clive could've replied, Joshua's hand found its way into his unprotected armpit and hell broke loose. "AHAHAHAHHHHAHAh!! D-DAHAHAHAHHAMN YOHOHOU! HAHAHAHAHHAHHAA!" Clive broke as the laughter bubbled out of him like a waterfall, the dam finally broken for real.
Joshua snicked and gave up holding down his arms, attacking both his armpits despite him immediately bringing down his arms to trap his hands in said spots. Not knowing what to do anymore, Clive decided for another attempt to tickle him back, his arms shooting up and squeezing the blonde's hips, trying to push him off of him.
"Okay, okay! TruHUhuce!" he laughed and actually managed to make the other loose his hold, falling to the side, next to him. "You cheHEheheater~" "You had your fuHUhun~" The room filled with the sound of their laughter and little bantering, as both of them calmed down, the storm outside inconsequential and long forgotten.
As both their laughter finally subsided, Joshua settled beside Clive, grinning at him with a big smile. "See? I told you I've grown up," Joshua said, a hint of pride in his voice. Clive smiled at him, pulling his brother into a hug, ruffling through his blonde locks.
"Haha and yet you still are my ticklish little brother~ Some things never change," he joked, and earned another poke into his side as Joshua puffed out his cheeks. "That's rich, coming from you," he teased, and both fell into another laughing fit, before lying next to each other. "I really missed you Clive..." the blonde mumbled, nuzzling a bit more against him.
The ravenhead smiled as he lied and arm around him, pulling Joshua even closer. "I missed you too Joshua but we're finally together again and that's what counts the most," he told him, and his hand was gently stroking his head, making him sleepy.
They lay there, listening to the rain against the windows that worked as a soothing lullaby and before they knew it, the two brothers had fallen asleep, embraced in their presence and their love on this rainy night.

Lantern Rite, Tears & Laughter
Tumblr media
A/N: Finally, another story with Aether, and my new favorite of the game: Gaming. He’s such a great character and his idle animation is just adorable. I knew that I wanted to write something with this two and here we are. Took me a while to find the matching art with both of them. Hope you enjoy.
Summary: After hearing his friend's concerns, Aether feels the need to do something to make him feel good again. Thus, he embarks on his mission to fill the nightly air with happiness once more.
Warning: Slight spoilers for the event quest.
Words: 1,598 words under the cut
The nightly air was filled with cheerful voices, the streets full of happy faces, bathed in the lights of countless lanterns ascending up into the sky, taking all kinds of wishes along with them. The annual Lantern Rite of Liyue was reaching its peak and wherever you looked you could see people chattering or enjoying some tasty snacks from one of the many shop vendors. A gentle breeze blew from the sea, letting colorful kites in all forms dance in its wind, carrying the scent of delightful dishes throughout the corridors of Liyue.
Slightly away from all the hustle and bustle sat a certain duo, a blonde Traveler known for his outstanding achievements throughout Teyvat and a member of the Sword and Strongbox Secure Transport Agency, a new friend whom he had met just a few days ago.
Gaming was an outstanding character. The moment they had met, they had gotten along right away. He was a sincere and cheerful character and something about his aura really made Aether feeling comfy around him. Right now though, this cheerfulness had seemed to fade as he had opened his heart to the Traveler, sharing his problems with him.
They had been engrossed in conversation, with Gaming telling him about his relationship between his father and him and the pressure he felt about it. The blonde listened to him, nodding every now and then, glad that Gaming trusted him enough to share these things with him, showing him his true self.
Paimon had already excused herself after sharing a glance with Aether, sensing that he would handle it, not wanting to interfere. With just one of them being around it also felt easier to talk and the blonde knew how to handle these situations better anyways.
***
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have told you all this. I didn't want to spoil the party, and now look at me... Way to go, me! Hehe~" Gaming laughed almost agonized, slouching his shoulders as he looked to the ground. Aether gazed at him and in the gleam of the lanterns he thought he saw a single tear running down his face.
He slipped a bit closer to his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it gently. "Don't say that, you know that's not true! You are such a strong and talented person Gaming and I know that your feelings will reach your dad," he tried to encourage him. The other looked up at him and Aether's heart broke a bit when he could see the pain in his eyes.
"No, no they won't. You've seen my dad and how stubborn he is..." Gaming said, shaking his head "...talking to him won't-" "You won't need words... your heart will do the talking and when you're out there performing what you love, even your dad will come to understand..." Aether said and he smiled when he could catch a slight smile on his face.
"...Y-You really think so? Will this really be enough?" the dark-haired wondered. The Traveler nodded convincing, and seeing how Gaming seemed to relax a bit, he decided to spice things up a bit. Just one… just one more step. He moved his hand up to his neck and gave the exposed spot a quick wiggle, in hope it would cause the reaction he was aiming for.
He shouldn't be disappointed. Caught off guard, the Wushou Dancer flinched in surprise and uttered a hoarse laugh, looking at him with wide eyes. "Was that a laugh I just heard?" Aether teased, playfully, grinning at him. Their eyes met and the dark-haired knew what was coming.
Gaming opened and closed his mouth, tying to say something, but the words just wouldn't come out of him, so he just shook his head which only made the blonde's smile grew wider. "Ohh I see, so this wouldn't bother you then?" he asked as his other hand moved in, squeezing his lower side.
A shiver went through the boy's body as another laugh, more clear this time, found its way out of him. "HmHmhm... noHoho~" The blonde eyed him for a few seconds, analyzing his body language to see if he showed any sign of discomfort and continued when Gaming remained where he was, making no attempts to escape his touch. "Okay, suit yourself~"
Aether was in his element right now. He wasn't the first, and surely also not the last person who claimed that they weren't sensitive. In the end even someone as stubborn as Diluc or as aloof as Xiao had become victim to his hands, laughing their heads off and admitting defeat, although he had experienced defeat as well afterwards - in both cases.
But that wasn't the point right now. Right here, right now he was on a mission to cheer up his friend and he wouldn't let this chance to bond slip away from him.
"Since you aren't bothered by it, I'll just continue a bit... hey, wanna grab something to eat later, my treat," Aether said nonchalantly, as if tickling him was the most normal thing in the world, while his hand traveled down his back, wiggling down to his other side, as he continued his playful assault on the poor guy next to him.
"Pffftft...he…hEhheh…" Gaming pressed his lips together and squeezed his eyes close, trying to fade out the ticklish feeling that grew stronger and stronger with each passing second. "Holding in I see... well, let's see how long you can take it, Mr. I'm-Not-Sensitive~" he continued to tease his friend. His fingers enclosed his lower flanks and kneaded into them.
At first it was a slight tremble on his shoulders, a tremble that quickly grew down to his back, then his upper body. His toes curled in his martial arts slippers, and he tucked up his legs before his lips began to shake as bubbly laughter began to flow out of him. "HehHEeh, w-waHAhahhit~" he shyly giggled, leaning against him, and letting his head rest on his shoulder.
Aether slowed down a bit but didn't stop his attack. "Might a certain someone be a bit ticklish after all?" he asked with a sly expression. "CohoHome on~" the dual-haired cackled, half-heartly trying to push away Aether's hands. "S-StoHohop it, Aether~" The blonde just giggled as his fingers did the magic, softly pressing into his sensitive flanks.
"Nope, not gonna happen, buddy... we have to take care of this serious expression first~" he told him, moving his fingers further up to his ribs. "Your big moment is just around the corner, and we don't want you to look all gloomy, right?" he teased, knowing just what to say. "So show me your biggest smile, Gaming~"
"HaahAhahHahah, thAht's- ehheHehe thaHaht's noHohot... waHAAhhaahh~" He wasn't even able to form a clear sentence, let alone asking him to stop. Aether's fingers massaged into him, each fingertip sending ticklish waves through every fiber of his body. Gaming was just too sensitive for his own good.
His laughter rose up a pitch when the blonde decided to switch spots again and traveled to his stomach, wiggling over the clothed area, before sneaking one hand under it. Skin touched skin, leaving goosebumps and Gaming was losing it.
"AHAHAhahHAhAhah, nahAAHHhahah, I'm- ahAhAhhah I'm smiIHihling, y-yoOHohu caHahan stoHOhop," he laughed, tears of mirth running down his face. Aether laughed along with him, finding his laughter quite contagious.
"Oh you are? Didn't think you were? Say, does it tickle?" he asked, sliding one finger dangerously close to his belly button while his other hand shoot upwards into his armpit, attacking two new spots at the same time. High-pitched squeals filled the nightly air and Gaming began to shake in his hold.
"A-AehehEhther, yoHohou- aHAhaAHha, yoHOhou suHuhuck~" he laughed, genuinely. "What was that?" the blonde asked, happy that the first signs of his playful nature returned to the other. "Seems like you are in need of some more tickles, ehh?" Aether announced and didn't waste any more second before he went in for the kill and poked him right into his navel.
This seemed to be Gaming's breaking point and before Aether knew what was happening, Gaming slipped out of him and made a salto forwards, turning around, his face flushed, the tips of his ears dipped into a color matching his strands.
"You... *pant* *pant* I'll remember this Aether... just you wait!" he said, stretching a hand out at him before he quickly faced him with his back. Aether looked at him a bit perplexed but smiled warmly. "Of course you will." The Traveler looked up into the sky, before he eyed his friend again. "I think it's time, Gaming..."
The dark-haired turned around once more and smiled at him, before he reached him in a smart pace, pulling him into a warm hug. "Thanks Aether, for listening and... the other thing." The blonde returned the hug, feeling the warmth. "Of course, that's what friends are foHoHohre~" he interrupted himself midsentence as two fingers poked his sides.
The Wushou Dancer chuckled satisfied as they broke apart. "Glad that I' not the only sensitive one... now we both have something to look forward to, hehe and I'll take you up on your offer of inviting me for a treat, just kidding, or not?" he chuckled as he grabbed his lion costume, heaving it over his shoulder.
"Watch me, I'll show you something amazing~" he said, in a cheerful tone as he leaped away. Aether looked after him, a reddish blush on his cheeks. "Never wake a sleeping lion, hmm... idiot..."

DokiDoki really outdone herself again with not one but TWO 💖 new masterpieces from this great show. Their blushing expression when being on the receiving end and Fern pouting can only be called adorable. Ahh and don't let me start about the vines, how they almost seem to fuse with his clothes. It really is a great combo fom which I've seen far to less. The magic circle looks so detailed too... A spell I would love to have up my sleeve as well >.<

@ticklygiggles What a great final story. I bow my head for your skill~ You wrote them so well and I couldn't have thought of a better outcome. 😁😍 The teasing and their reactions were juuust adorable... Thank you so so much for completing my requests and bringing these stories to life~
Beach Competitions | Oikawa Tooru & Kuroo Tetsurou
Commissioned by @wertzunge
Tumblr media
A/N: final commission for Maaaaax! Max, thank you so much for your always kind support and for being so so kind and patient to me! You are an angel ❤️ I hope you enjoy this one! Thank you again!
Summary: Ah, the beach. The perfect place to relax and have a good time in peace and quiet... right?
Tumblr media
Oikawa watched the Nekoma team coming out from a van he thought was way too small and cramped for all of them to fit together. He heard his own teammates giggling and whispering to each other as they saw some of the tallest boys almost tripping on their way out, including Kuroo who yelled and even hit someone on the head out of pure embarrassment. Oikawa had to laugh too and he made sure to tease Kuroo about it through the whole day.
The sun was warm right above their heads. The sea breeze felt good on the skin sticky with sweat. The smell of watermelon mixed with the smell of salt, warm sand and sunblock. Both teams were opening umbrellas and tents, chatting happily, kicking sand between them to blind the other, and mingling together as a little improvised family. All the stress of the third years about graduation and the future was kept locked in a little box that would be opened later, when the daily routine began again.
Meanwhile, Oikawa made sure to enjoy his break to the fullest. He competed in a swimming race against Iwaizumi and Haiba Lev and both Seijoh players lost miserably against Lev’s long legs and arms. Oikawa also joined a funny conversation with Mattsun, Takahiro and Kai Nabuyaki. He was very surprised to see the Nekoma vice-president laughing so much at Mattsun’s jokes, he even apologized for how loud he was being.
Oikawa even timidly approached that little setter, wanting to share some advice and stuff, not before laughing his head off when he saw Kenma’s face and limbs completely white, covered in sunscreen. Kenma, although shy and quiet, did answer Oikawa questions and thanked him for his advice.
Oikawa did many things, but above them all… he challenged Kuroo in every single thing he could think of. Watermelon seed spitting, volleyball, a race, another swimming competition, even sandcastle building. Both captains did their best even when throwing a frisbee, and for everyone else it was a little fun to see them yelling at each other– or at least that was what Oikawa thought as he heard the other's laughter when he and Kuroo almost pulled their hair to prevent the other from reaching the finish line in their third consecutive race.
Unfortunately for Oikawa, each of these competitions ended in an embarrassing tie. No matter how much he sweated and how much his muscles ached, Kuroo always caught up with him. Oikawa hated that, but it also fired him up even more to have such a formidable rival. However, frustrated by the conclusions of his competitions with Kuroo, Oikawa jumped on him and thus began a wrestling match; wet, flushed bodies getting covered in sand with every pirouette they took on themselves, trying to pin the other down.
One moment Oikawa had the lead, but in the blink of an eye, Kuroo was yanking on his arm in a certain way, successfully throwing him to the ground, but then Oikawa would catch Kuroo's leg and turn him over to his original position with his back pressed against the sand.
“Stay still you damned cat!” He screamed, trying to put Kuroo in a necklock.
“You move away and just give up!” Kuroo would yell back and then a bunch of random screams and grunts would fill the air.
“Oi, you two!”
“Dammit!”
Just when Oikawa was going to set the perfect necklock to finally pin Kuroo down, Iwaizumi’s voice unfocused him and he quickly moved away from Kuroo to prevent a terrible and unfair loss to him.
“Iwa-chan!” Oikawa wined, dragging his tired and hot body towards the rest of the team. “I was about to win!”
“Ha!” Kuroo laughed sarcastically, also breathing heavily as he followed Oikawa. “You wish! I was clearly the one about to win!”
Iwaizumi rolled his eyes and Matsun, Makki, Kai Nabuyaki and Yaku Morisuke tried to keep from laughing as they gave them both a bottle of sport beverage.
“Yes, yes. Hey, we were thinking,” Iwaizumi said, pointing at the rest behind him. “We got an amazing challenge for you both. This will be the definitive one! Someone has to win, no matter what."
That made Oikawa and Kuroo's eyes shine with excitement.
“What is it?!” Oikawa asked, shaking Iwaizumi's shoulders.
“First, you both will be buried in the sand,” Yaku Morisuke purred and he pointed at two big holes in the sand, perfect for them to fit in. Oikawa frowned. They really had everything prepared, huh?
“Yaku, what are y'all planning?”
Yaku rolled his eyes and Oikawa thought him and Iwaizumi were so alike. “Shut up, Kuroo, and just get in. Or what? Are you a coward?”
Before he could even finish his sentence, Kuroo was already sitting comfortably inside the hole, Oikawa following suit.
When they started to bury them in the sand, Oikawa was thankful they chose a place with a nice shadow, at least it wouldn't be hot while doing whatever game they had in mind. The sand was refreshing against his warm skin, Oikawa thought he could fall asleep at any second. It was strangely comfortable and the sound of the waves lazily crashing against the shore surely lulled him into a peaceful state.
“Sleepy?” Makki asked him playfully and Oikawa grinned groggily. “You can step out, you know? And rest a bit.”
“That would mean that I admit that Kuroo Tetsurou beat me at something and I'm not going to allow it,” he said, loud enough for Kuroo to listen. “It's my honor at stake, Makki."
“Haha, just you wait, Oikawa. No matter what, I'll definitely win this one.”
“Don't be so sure,” both Yaku and Kai said and Oikawa couldn't help but feel a little nervous, seeing the playful look in their eyes.
Oikawa blinked, noticing that they were all buried now, only their head and feet sticking out. He tried to move, but he could barely do so under the weight of the sand. He got a bit more nervous, but still tried to act tough, although he could clearly see Kuroo was also sharing his feelings. Oikawa cleared his throat, but before he could say something, Mattsun spoke up.
“Okay, so this game will be easy… for us at least,” they chuckled and Oikawa felt his ears heating up, for some reason. “This is an endurance test. We'll be tickling you as best as we can. The first one to give up, will be the loser. The one that holds up the most, will be the winner. Easy right?”
“What?!” Both Kuroo and Oikawa yelled and their faces flushed. Any trace of sleep vanished at once.
They both knew that if they complained, it would mean that they were not brave enough to face this challenge, so they both decided to stay silent, or at least, without complaining about this silly and childish idea.
“It's fine,” Oilawa said, trying to look calm. “But why am I having three people to tickle me and Kuroo only two?”
“Hehe, are you jealous? You think you won't take it. You should give up now.”
Suddenly, a little blond head poked from behind Yaku and Kuroo gasped. “Kenma?!”
Kenma looked at him with disgust. Oikawa was wrong, he definitely was more like Iwaizumi. “I don't want to do this either, but I was forced to,” he said, crossing his arms above his chest.
“We hid his phone,” both Yaku and Kai grinned. And with that, they started to position themselves.
At his feet, Oikawa found Makki, Mattsun by his legs and Iwaizumi by his torso. Beside him, Kuroo was also being surrounded: Yaku at his feet, Kai at his legs and Kenma by his torso. Oikawa felt nervous flutters inside his tummy and his body started to tingle in anticipation. How would Mattsun and Iwaizumi tickle him if he was buried like this? He really didn't want to know.
“W-Wait, wait wait!” Kuroo begged, a trace of laughter already lacing to his words. “C-Can I at least laugh?”
“You both can laugh,” Iwaizumi explained calmly. “But if you tap out,  Oikawa will be the winner.”
“Keke,” Oikawa cackled mockingly. “Are you admitting you are more ticklish than me, Kuroo? You can give up already if you're so scared!”
“Now.” Oikawa gasped when something dragged up his left sole. His eyes widened when he saw Makki smirking at him with an eyebrow raised. Oikawa gulped. “You should keep your mouth shut for now, Oikawa.”
“H-Hmph!"
“Okay, are you guys ready?” Kai asked, grinning at both captains. “Your safe word is ‘watermelon’”
“So original… ouch!” Yaku whined.
“Okay. In three- now!”
“Hah?! What about two and– fuck!”
Kuroo laughed right away, Oikawa could hear his teammates making fun of him, teasing him about how ticklish he was and that he was definitely going to lose. Kuroo didn't even try to stop laughing, once the dam was broken, there was no coming back; Oikawa knew this very well, that was why he tried to hold back as best as he could, but the tickling to his feet was relentless.
Fingers brushed all along his soles, the sand sticking to his skin only making the sensation worsen, especially when the tickling moved under his toes. A reluctant, wobbly smile stretched his lips as Oikawa tilted his head back, tightly shutting his eyes.
“Hmm? Perhaps Oikawa will be able to win?” Makki said, wiggling his fingers between Oikawa’s toes, making him snort but still no laughter came from his mouth.
“Kuroo over there really is having a hard time, huh?” Mattsun giggled, and Oikawa imagined him looking at Kuroo with that teasy grin of his.
“Kuroo is the most ticklish person I know,” Yaku said, his fingers glued to the exact spot in Kuroo's feet that had him laughing nearly in hysterics. “I'm surprised he even agreed to this.”
“Well,” Iwaizumi said, making Oikawa jump when he poked his cheek. “It's not like we asked them, right?” The rest laughed, but Oikawa could barely hear them over his internal screaming.
“Oikawa is the most ticklish person we know,” Makki said, insistently wiggling his fingers under Oikawa's toes. “But he's holding himself very well.”
Could it really be said that he was ‘holding himself very well’? No matter how hard he tried to move his feet away from Makki's toes, Oikawa could barely move under the weight of the sand. His face was red and hot and it wasn't because of the sun, he was short of breath and if he dared to open his mouth, he knew that his loud and embarrassing laugh would escape.
Thankfully for him, (and Kuroo), the tickling suddenly stopped. They both went limp, breathing heavily and twitching slightly. A well deserved break-
“Just kidding!”
“AHAHAHA!”
Those bastards! Oikawa's laughter came out embarrassingly loud, even louder than Kuroo's. He didn't think Makki would start tickling him all over again– and he knew Yaku was also wrecking Kuroo all over again. Oikawa shook his head, feeling tears of laughter clinging to his lashes as he twisted his feet as best as he could, but it was all useless and his damn laughter wouldn't stop for even a second.
“Okay, time for stage two!”
“Whahahahat nohohow- ahahack! Nohohoho!”
Oikawa didn't notice when or how, but Mattsun on his side and Kai over Kuroo's had dug two holes in the sand around their thighs. The sudden warm touch of hands squeezing his muscles startled him and he squealed before falling into a louder laughing fit, if that was possible. Kuroo was not doing any better, but Oikawa couldn't tell anymore who was laughing the most and the hardest.
“It's a little higher,” Kenma mumbled, instructing how to properly tickle Kuroo's thighs. “It's the upper muscle- ah, right there.”
“KeheHEHEnmaha!”
Oikawa was nearly seeing stars. The safe word almost slipped out between his laughter, but no! He had to stay strong, there was no way Kuroo Tetsurou could win against h-
“AHAHAHAHA! Plehehehease not thehehere!”
“Hehe, time for stage three,” Iwaizumi said, giggling as he buried both hands into the sand. Another two holes directly above Oikawa's tummy. The clawing around his belly button was enough to have him in hysterics.
“KEHEHENMAHAHA! I hahahate yohohou!”
“And I hate your stupid laugh, give up already so I can have my phone back,” Kenma said as he found Kuroo's underarms under the sand. The poor Nekoma boy was losing it as Kai and Yaku giggled maliciously.
Oikawa suddenly thought that he and Kuroo were actually receiving some kind of punishment? It was true that they had been too loud and had accidentally pushed someone several times… He had been exceptionally annoying towards Iwaizumi, complaining about Kuroo all the time and dragging him into his silly games.
“WAHAHATERMEHEHELOHON!”
Yaku, Kai, Kenma, Makki, Mattsun and Iwaizumi all groaned loudly when both boys screamed the safe word at the same time. The tickling stopped and Oikawa and Kuroo were left breathless and laughing themselves silly.
“It seems our plan didn't work out. They'll keep being annoying.”
Oikawa heard them and when he could finally breathe almost normally, he looked over at Kuroo.
“Tr-Truhuce?”
Kuroo looked at him and nodded. “Tr-uce.”
“Hey, you both. It's time you guys stop– oh.”
Exhausted after all their competitions and the tickling on their most sensitive spots, Oikawa and Kuroo finally succumbed to sleep. The other boys laughed and sighed in relief. At the very least, everyone would have a break for at least an hour!

@ticklygiggles WaHh another wonderful story I can add to my favorites 🥰☺ This was so adorable and you didn’t write them OOC at all!!!! You described their personalities perfect. Cy and Clops were honestly one of the best parts of it and couldn't help but smile while reading the story. Lante being all strong only to loose his cool while wagging his tail a few seconds later... 😘😍🥰 I'm loving it~
An Acting Queen Consort and a Captain | Sariphi & Lanteveldt

Tumblr media
A/N: Thank you for your patience as always, kind Max! I hope you enjoy this little fic with our favorite Acting Consort and hyenafolk! I'm still quite new to this fandom, so I apologize in advance if they are a bit ooc *sobs* I hope you enjoy it, though. Thank you Max!
Summary: Sari is tired after losing one night of sleep, but why is her guard putting an attitude in if he's the reason why she hasn't slept?! An apology is needed.

Sariphi gave a long sigh as she collapsed into the seat of the carriage. Her feet hurt and she felt like her arms and legs were as heavy as blocks of steel. It had been a very busy and eventful couple of days in Maasya. Sari was happy to have fulfilled another trial as Acting Queen Consort, but mentally and physically she felt exhausted. Who would have thought that her simple human eyes would ever be so helpful - she had just saved Lante's life. The new Captain had been a handful since the very first moment they met, but Sariphi was thankful for having him. She perfectly knew he meant no warm to her nor the Kingdom of Ozmargo, (included, most importantly, His Majesty), but she was glad they now know this on Maasya as well.
Still… he could've been a bit nicer before, hmm?
Sari sighed again, closing her eyes and slightly tilting her head to the side tiredly.
“Sari…,” Clops said in a troubled voice as it gently jumped into Sari's lap, Cy mumbling a worried ‘ri’, also jumping on her lap.
Sari smiled warmly, gently rubbing their heads. “I am alright, Clops-chan, Cy-chan. Don't worry about me.”
“Tch, honestly, why did you even have to stay up just to help me out? I could've solved the problem without your help,” Lante said stubbornly, lying on the seat opposite to Sari.
“Oi! How can you talk to Sari like that after all she did for you!”
“For you!”
Lante’s voice sounded sharp and aggressive, completely annoyed by the whole situation, but Sariphi knew better, oh she did. It wasn't his fault for being as distrustful as he was; Sari was no expert, but she had studied profusely and knew perfectly well that being a hyenafolk wasn't easy even if they had good intentions - Lante's ancestors had decided to blacken the name of all future generations by their acts in the past. It was sad he had to suffer the ugly looks and mean words and she thought, perhaps, they were on the same page, after all, she was still under those ugly looks.
Well, that didn't really matter anymore. Lante had sworn on his life to protect Sariphi and she trusted him, but still… wasn't he being a bit too much talking like that? Sariphi didn't help him because she wanted to manipulate him, regardless, she thought he could act a bit nicer to her. Wasn't he the one that put her life in danger? She was sure he was going to save her but… still!
“Hmph! I didn't ask Sari to help me, did I?” He asked, although he wasn't even looking at Sari.
“You! How can you say that?!”
“That!”
“Now everyone, please calm down. Cy-chan, Clops-chan, thank you for worrying about me, but please don't get too mad, okay?” She smiled sweetly at them, but her smile slowly faded as she looked at the Captain. “Lante.”
He immediately sat up, ears and tail perked up and eyes slightly wide as he stared at Sari. Sariphi was not one to be angered easily, she actually didn't like being mad at someone for too long and this was the case with Lante - first of all, she had never been mad at him, if she had to name her initial feeling towards Lante, it would've been ‘uncertainty’ and ‘expectation’, perhaps also a bit of fear but not too much. So right now, she was just playing.
“We've been through a lot, Lante,” she said calmly, her voice serious and slightly cold. “And I haven't once heard an ‘I am sorry’ from your lips, do you think that's fair?”
Lante jumped slightly. “I- I have nothing to apologize for!”
“Apologize!” Cy and Clops yelled.
“Apologize, Lante,” Sari said before a spark of playfulness twinkled in her eyes. “Or else… I will tickle you.”
She grinned as Lante's ears twitched. It was funny to see his expression twist from fear to surprise and then embarrassment. Sariphi couldn't help but giggle as Cy and Clips jumped on her lap.
“Get him, Sari! Get him!”
“Him!”
Lante huffed, crossing his arms and legs as he leaned back. “Heh, I'd like to see you try, Acting Queen Consort. I am not sensitive, that's childish. I think you'll have to think harder than that.”
Sari chuckled. Lante wasn't ticklish? She'd like to see that! Even someone like His Majesty was sensitive, there was no way Lante wasn't! Sari liked a nice challenge like this once in a while.
“Then, you wouldn't mind me trying, right?” She asked, smiling at him as she gently put Cy and Clops off her lap so she could move and sit right beside Lante. The poor hyena jumped slightly, highly aware of Sari’s presence. Someone who was not ticklish could act this way? Sari giggled and Lante turned his head away from her.
“G-Go ahead,” he said. The confidence in his voice was gone, and Sari knew she was going to have a lot of fun. “I don't mind at all.”
“Very well!” She said and her hands wasted no time; her fine fingers touched his side, just a touch of her fingertips against Lante's warm, fluffy side. The knight shivered slightly, almost imperceptibly, and his ears twitched a bit, but his face didn't show much emotion. Sari grinned as she started to wiggle her fingers against his side, going up and down in a way she had learned always made His Majesty let out soft giggles.
It seemed like Lante wasn't immune to that touch either. He started to shake slightly and he closed his eyes tightly. Sari watched as one of his shoulders rose involuntarily, and his elbow twitched back a bit.
“You know… I wonder if someone not ticklish would be squirming like you?” Sari teased playfully, poking Lante's side and making him jump slightly.
“W-What d-do you m-m-mean?” He asked through gritted teeth. “I'm not s-squirming at a-all, you- gah! S-Sahari, w-wait!”
Sari's gentle and tickly fingers had reached one side of his ribs and he flinched away, pressing his arms tightly against his body in an attempt to stop her, but her hand was trapped in and she had no other option but to tickle him more, of course. The strangled sound he made when he felt Sari clawing at his ribs made her laugh softly.
“Are you sure you're not ticklish, Lante? You seem quite ticklish to me.”
Lante shook his head, ears pressed back against his skull as he refused to even speak, but Sari could feel him shaking under her touch, trying to hold back his laughter.
“He's ticklish, Sari!” Both Cy and Clops jumped on Lante's lap, hopping up and down a bit too excitedly, perhaps a bit happy that Lante was, for once, being taken down a notch. “Get him good!”
“Good!”
Lante tried to slap Cy and Clops away, but as Sari reached for the other side of his ribs, he lasted a total of two seconds before he erupted into loud laughter. His arms wrapped around his ribs as he leaned forward, trying to escape from Sari's fingers.
“Are you laughing, Lante?” She asked playfully, fingertips digging into the spaces between Lante's ribs. “Are you laughing when you said you weren't ticklish?”
“SAHAHARI! Plehehease dohohon't!” He cackled, jerking heavily as Sari found his highest ribs, near his armpits.
“Get ‘im! Get ‘im!” Cy and Clops chanted happily, bouncing from leg to leg whenever Lante kicked desperately.
“Ribs? Ticklish,” Sari said, her hands suddenly burying under Lante's underarms. Lante let out an uncharacteristic shriek as he threw his head back with loud laughter. “Underarms? Very ticklish!”
“SAHAHARI! STAHAHAP!”
Sariphi actually thought that Lante was telling the truth. She really thought he wasn't ticklish, but she had to know better. Why wouldn't he? If His Majesty was ticklish, it seemed impossible for Sari to think that the other beasts were not. Even Anubis, but she didn't wish to lose her hands trying to tickle him, but Lante was another story. He trusted her and Sari knew that even if he acted a bit grumpy when she stopped her attack, he wouldn't actually get mad at her. Besides, wasn't his tail wagging? How cute!
Sari didn't know how, but Lante had fallen flat on his back in the carriage seat, laughing wildly when Sari returned to his ribs. Sari could feel Lante's soft fur above his clothes and she couldn't help but but think about scratching a puppy's tummy. When her fingernails scritch-scratched his ribs, Lante shrieked, throwing his head back.
“Sari! Sari!” Cy called for her attention, both creatures now jumping on Lante's belly. “Try his belly, Sari!” Clops finished and Sari smiled.
“Oh? Right here?”
“NO MOHOHORE!” He begged, but Sari didn't hear because he was laughing so much! “SAHAHARI! D-Dohohon’t scrahahatch mehehe!” He cackled, wagging his tail as Sari scratched his tummy. “I'm nohohot a dohohog!”
“I know you are not,” Sari giggled. “But the scratching makes you laugh more!”
Lante shook his head. “SAHAHARIPHIHI! STAHAHAP!”
“Of course! I'll stop when you apologize, Lante!”
“NEHEVER! I DIHIHIDN’T-
“Sari! Sari!”
Sari lookef at her little companions and her eyebrows raised when she saw them, easily sneaking under his arms, giving Sari an opening to tickle him there again. However, Sariphi was surprised how easy it was for Cy and Clops to move his arms. It seemed that Lante's weakness really was being tickled huh? Feeling a bit mischievous, Sari gently closed her hand around one of his wrists and lifted his arm above his head. She couldn't help but widen her eyes.
“What's the matter, Lante?” She taunted, the fingers from her free hand walking up his side and ribs towards his underarm. “Even I can pin you down like this?”
Lante shook his head, eyeing the delicate fingers doing their dance towards his tickle spot. “S-Sahahari plehehease! Li-Listen! I lied okay? I'm actually vehery ticklish, yes? If you tihickle me there again, I'll die!”
Sari giggled, “what? You're ticklish? How weird, I didn't notice!” Cy and Clops giggled, rolling around Lante's tummy, making him twitch and flinch. “I already tell you how to make st-
“I refuse!” He gasped, giggling brightly when Sari's fingers finally touched his armpit, but didn't tickle him right away. “S-Sahahari, plehehease!”
“I'll give you three seconds,” she said, her finger drawing circles around Lante's underarm. “Three seconds for you to apologize!”
“Three seconds!”
“Seconds!”
“I wohoahahaHAHA!” Hysterical laughter filled the carriage. Sariphi was slightly surprised no one came to check on them, but she didn't pay much attention to that thought, instead, she focused on wiggling and digging her fingers against Lante's under arm, driving him up the wall.
Lante barely jerked to free himself and Sari giggled. “Cy-Chan, Clops-chan. Does Lante look ticklish to you?”
“Yes, Sari! Very ticklish!”
“Very ticklish!”
Sari grinned, giggling when Lante crackled as she scratched the center of his armpit. “Do you think he should apologize?”
“Apologize! Apologize!” The creatures chanted and for a minute, Sari thought Lante would faint at any moment as he still refused to apologize to her.
She wouldn't like to kill him, but just as she was thinking of stopping, Lante’s yell surprised her.
“I AHAHAM SOHOHORRY! Plehehease, Sahahariphi- NOHOHO MOHOHORE!”
As if his words were a spell, Sari's mischievous fingers stopped and in the blink of an eye, she, Cy and Clops were sitting on the other side of the carriage in front of Lante, as if Sari hadn't been tickling him like crazy. Sari watched with a smile as Lante tried to catch his breath while small residual giggles made him bounce slightly. She then noticed that his eyelashes were wet with tears of laughter. His chest fell and rose hurriedly and for a moment she worried.
“Was it too much, Lante?”
The hyenafolk didn't answer right away, but after a few deep breaths, he shook his head, cleaning the tears off his eyes. “I'm a-alrigh. It wahas… my first time getting t-tickled by a human… it was a wide experience.”
Sari smiled warmly at him before looking down at her lap. Her gentle hands that only a couple of minutes ago were pulling out loud crackles from Lante, were now rubbing Cy and Clops’ little heads. The two little monsters had fallen asleep, tired after all of that jumping around and cheering for Sari. She chuckled and then looked up at Lante.
He had calmed down completely, simply laying down with sleepy eyes.
“Lante?” He sat up, hyperware and Sari chuckled. “Thank you, Lante.”
The Captain blinked before his eyes softened. “No, thanks to you, Sari.”
Warm spread across her chest and she smiled brightly.
She couldn wait to see His Majesty again.
