I feel like Ingo's the type to say something insulting to people he doesn't like, but he never allows for an argument to actually build up. He just turns and leaves as soon as he's said what he wanted to say. Like—

Ingo: Your lack of objectivity suggests that you aren't as fit for the role of a leader as you'd like to pretend you are.

Kamado: Excuse me?

Ingo: You're excused. *Pivots and walks away*

I think one of the big failings of PLA’s writing is that Kamado doesn’t experience real consequences. He prostrates himself in front of the protagonist and apologizes, but that’s not really enough in comparison to the incompetence he showed and disaster he almost caused.

I don’t think he’s an evil man, but he’s got a bad case of “makes decisions informed by trauma and won’t acknowledge them as such” plus run of the mill arrogance and cultural centrism. He threw out their best chance at saving the world, was willing to throw away two years of diplomacy and start a war over helping them, and tried to lead an army against a raging god, which would have killed them all.

By the end of the main story, everyone from Cyllene to Laventon to the clans to Beni, his right hand assassin, thinks he’s in the wrong and going to doom the world. Those most loyal to him ask you to kick his ass before he dooms everyone!

The obvious and logical conclusion would be for him to step down after all this. But he doesn’t. Despite screwing up the situation about as hard as you could, he just gets off with an apology and continues leading Galaxy Team. It lacks catharsis for having endured his bullying the whole game, and it’s doesn’t really make sense.

Glad I found this blog cuz I am tired of hearing people try to justify this bastard's actions. Saw someone try to say that hating Kamado is ableist because it means you hate trauma survivors. Meanwhile my ass is here like, I guess my trauma doesn't fucking count then since he literally acts like the people who caused it. Assholes.

Honestly, trauma isn't a reason to kick someone into the wild AND LEAVE THEM TO DIE BECAUSE YOU THINK THEY MAY HAVE CAUSED THE DISASTER. All he had was coincidences to back up his claim.

'Oh, but he didn't want to, he was thinking with his emotions' I avoid going into serious leadership roles because I know I make terrible decisions based on emotions when they get too much for me to handle. If Kamado can't look past his emotions to make reasonable decisions, he shouldn't be the boss.

Yes, it's sad he lost everything and just wants to protect what he has now, but that doesn't mean you can't hate this guy for literally letting you die in the wild and punishing anyone that tries to help you.

just remembered that chairman r*se gave bede his hatterene (or hattena then), a pokemon which would "silence you violently" if it sensed strong emotions. rose was training this kid to show no human emotion and cooperate with his plan right from the start, and i hate him for it.
