I love Kristan Higgins’ books and recommend them very highly. My favourites are All I Ever Wanted (because adorable heroine Callie, who is dismissed as fluffy by people due to what she wants [love] and how she acts [extravagantly]) and The Perfect Match (basically, what if Tom Hardy had to green-card-marry-you so he could stay in the country near a child he loved and felt responsible for? Also, you have a cute dog.)

Scientists bred extremely sexually attractive male mosquitoes whose offspring are unable to breed. So these mosquitoes will hopefully dominate the mosquito gene pool, and in a generation or two, billions of mosquito larvae will be reproductive dead-ends.
