I'm Sorry, what? Timeloop/Time reset theory?

Fuck if I know. It's a lot more of thought than theory I guess. I do apologize for it being a bit messy.

But, we're all here for this little thing that happened today, on April 25, 2023 (wow IRIS right on my boyfriend's birthday, nice~)

WHO in their right mind (had they survived the slaughterhouse that was the IRIS facility) would just go 'You know what? I survived! I'll just tweet something out!' (Goddamnit Anti, what the FUCK did you do now?!)

Well, I might have a reason as to why, least for the Deja vu. There are several possibilities to explain it and all of them are valid until more information is found. But for this little theory, I'm going to like... go with the most talked about theory that's been around since the beginning of this rabbit hole. Everyone and their grandmother pointed this out.

Timeloops!

Or in this case, possibly more of a reset.

Perhaps all this time, it's been resets happening and that may be what's causing Time to be 'broken'.

Remember back in AF: CB... what was the LAST thing to happen in it? Anti having made his fun little rampage through the IRIS facility, a bunch of IRIS staff dying in one form or another. And him cornering Chase in a familiar... red lit hallway that Chase desperately didn't want to be in and tried so hard to tell others with him at the time to not come here and to flee elsewhere... Chase's terrified view as Anti looms over him with a dark chuckle.

Then it cuts to black.

Ever wondered what happened then? We had a few IRIS tweets after Anti tore through the facility, then radio silence for 4 months then boom that. At least from IRIS's side of things.

But after Halloween, things had been quiet. A few things here and there.. (I'm actually drawing a blank of what other videos had something happen in them, let me know) then Sean's recent little playthrough of the 'Classrooms' where Anti giggles and we hear the faint' "No one's gonna help me".

What does any of this have to do with Resets and timeloops?

Well, hear me out, what if the moment Anti had cornered Chase in the hallway, (Recall that Echo mentioned to Chase that Anti is after him because he's special, just never clarified what that 'special' is), that, for lack of a better term, Chase's power activated upon his distress and wish to not be there and caused a time to reset? Which undid everything that happened (probably to a degree) that week or so. But Anti still remains with him, giggling at his attempt to escape and hide from him and Chase sinking further into despair with the thought that... there is no one... not even IRIS is able to help him.

Which is the dark thought path Anti is pushing him towards. Arin did state that the small stone slab that they had found in a village in northern europe had affected many people there and a few that managed to survive it turned down a dark path... he just never clarifies what that dark path was.

Which makes sense, the symptoms of the slab match that of Anti, but his ability far outranks the slab. Hell the slab could have been containing him, but his power was still great enough to seep out and affect the surrounding area and anyone near by. and that Stone slab still has that lingering power from holding Anti within it for so long. Assuming that it did contain him. IRIS had been tracking Anti for a while but had and probably still don't have a means to contain something that can come and go as he pleases.

So perhaps Anti is pushing him down this path for a reason. What it is, we don't know. Just that Anti targeted Chase for his specialty.

And Chase did confirm to Arin that he does experience deja vu, but waves it off as the mind playing tricks. Which could mean that despite probably having used his ability often unintentionally, that Chase doesn't remember everything that happens. Just deja vu moments or feelings of being somewhere before but confused about it. There's only a few instances he remembers very clearly what happens in certain times and places and panics about it. He just... doesn't know why other than it has to do with the man in dark clothing haunting him. And going to these places that he remembers clearly... never ends well with him or whomever is with him.

So all these timeloops/resets that happen, are likely Chase escaping situations in which he has zero help, no escape and cornered by Anti and blindly terrified. There's was something else that piqued my interest. When Arin was trying to gain Chase's trust by telling him what IRIS does (haha funny), and then revealed that Chase is being tormented by an extremely powerful ALTR far more dangerous than any ALTR objects they had contained. Chase says, "He won't leave me alone. He shows me such... awful things that I did." Things? It's quite possible that Chase did suffer a divorce with Stacy due to his drinking. And in a fit of despair and pain, probably during an argument with Stacy, leaving him open to possession or whatever Anti did to him, likely caused Chase to 'snap' and kill Stacy and their child. Be it via illusions or some otherworldly tricks Anti did to cause such a thing to occur.

Each tragic death being different each time Chase resets things. If that ability goes that far. But it's more than likely that Anti merely pulls at Chase's alcoholic past and rough marriage troubles about it to rub into Chase's wounds. A reminder, for each waking hour, day after day... he lost his happy life due to poor choices. Assuming so, at least, we don't quite know what is going on here. Or what he did for Anti to push onto Chase.

Or perhaps, Anti merely lies to push him further onto that dark path, who knows?

Version... 3 of the audio... like in my edits in the previous post, it has come to my attention that the audio could more likely be saying "No one's gonna help me"...

Which hindsight sounds far more likely to be the saying, so I am thanking these two lovely individuals for making that more clear, in the official JSE server,

You'd think after years of dealing with such things, I'd be more careful, but excitement still does get to me. XD Still, at least I am happy someone else is also taking a look at the audio because I am still not confident in my skills with it.

(And if its still too quiet to you, please raise your volumes gradually, I don't want you damaging your ears please.)

But with the context of Anti's giggle and the whisper of "No one's gonna help me"... Does make me think that it's Chase. Given how things ended in AF: CB that Anti may have Chase now... Or at least the last seconds in which Chase is looking up at the man that had been haunting him for gods know how long and the one likely to be responsible for the deaths of his wife and child. STILL, there maybe some hope here. Chase and Anti may not be the only ones in the facility, we still have Echo around there, 'trapped' like Chase was in the building, and then the other two voices that are around. Could they be in the facility? Or are they peeking into this moment from their lane and one of them may be wanting to throw themselves in to stop what could be happening to Chase.

As far as we know, we haven't found everything in AF: CB... so let's get to cracking, yeah?

Edit : Though to make it more clear, those two above in the image, made what the whisper said clear. But it was @n-anon That brought up the giggle and whisper to attention in the first place. XD We both tried to guess is in the server. I heard the word 'help' which prompted me to use Audacity to see if I could make it clear.

Okay, guys, hi, sorry back~ But we got a little visit from our favorite Knife wielding maniac, Anti, in today's video! :D I did raise the volume, but if its still too quiet, raise your volume settings, but to be safe, have it at a reasonable level and raise it gradually, I don't want you guys blowing your ears out. The audio does says "Y'all want some help?"

Teasing little shit. It's likely more of a response to Sean's (or if in character, Chase maybe fuck if I know) in asking "Are you in there?" in the video. Though, I wouldn't put it past Anti not only responding to the question in the video, but teasing at us the community, that's still digging through the secrets of AF:CB clips and us looking high and low at every video that has come out since Oct. 31st of last year. And he finds it amusing that we're still scrambling, all while he's several steps ahead as always. Then again, it's Antil, he's always an ass. XD

THOUGH it has come to my attention, that the sentence can be saying "No one's gonna help me". Which gives it a new set of context... so Chase thinking this? As Anti looms over him at the end of AF:CB? Possibly.

I saw a question on the official JSE server about if people in the chat were IRIS researchers, which Anomalies would they be able to handle? And my first thought was... since I had changed my name for the fun of ALTRs in the server back when Anomaly Found : Chase Brody was freshly out last year... why be the researcher? When you can be the Anomaly?

So I made this thing. It's a first draft I wrote for funsies. Anyway, the name Vivian Graves is actually the name of an older OC of mine that I converted to this for laughs.

She prefers to stay in her room… still I cannot blame the company for being… on edge.] Anywhere she wishes to go, she merely thinks of it and rips the closest space to her to go… we’re concerned if this causes damage to the timeline or the fabric of reality itself, we haven’t been able to test that… But it has its highlights of getting materials and such to other places within the facility much faster. [Wonder how many portals ALTR 22924 can create? And how far of a distance can she go?]

You have no idea how much I cried in reading this.

I'm so sorry you were hurt by the theorist community. The entire point of a community is to to share things about what we love within it. It's fine to disagree with others but to never shut them out for something differing from another point of view. I mean honestly, no one can ever agree with everyone with everything but can at least try to be civil about it.

The whole point of theories is to wonder and think about the millions upon millions of reasons and scenarios from what information we do have access to currently to try to figure things out. None of them will be 100% accurate; so none of them will ever be exactly right. Theorizing isn't about being right. It's about discovery and discussion, to share what we have with each other and talk about them; bounce off each other and discover brand new ideas and information. From there then broaden and find new branches of thinking to explore about the thing we're all trying to figure out. It's never been about being right at all. If a theory is right then sweet cool, we're on the right track but still honestly, I think it's just the fun of creating so many ways of how things could turn out.

And damn straight your Convergence Theory is still holding up, which I love. Might be from the game Observation that kick started that theory but I'm not sure.

Like Sean has always expressed how much he loves reading theories. Will he ever say we're straight up correct? No, he and his trusted team drop hints but that's it. And that's because he doesn't want to deprive us, the community, the joy of discovery and finding out for ourselves.

I'm sorry you were hurt but I am so glad you're healing from that pain. I really enjoy your theories, I want to see more of them. I want to see what you think and see and I want to bounce ideas off of you with my own, to keep finding new paths and new ways of how this world Sean built could be going to see what he has in store. ^w^

Do you know that I haven’t theorized properly in at least years almost 4 at this point? We have a mutual friend - you know who I mean - and they can tell you that a lot of the time I’m still scared. They can tell you my story - I think they already have - but it would be better if it came from me.

There was a time a few years back - the “before times” if you will of the world as we know it now. The ego fires didn’t go out because we were always getting new information, new tastes, new hints. It was early days of the official community server, run by the gladiator himself. The theories channel was always busy but it got to a point where things died down a little. Basically people started pulling at straws to figure things out. I had seen one person mention something, and I tried to voice my own thoughts, agreeing with them. Immediately, I was shut down and told that I was wrong. Didn’t really give a good reason as to why, just shut me down completely.

Not too long after that, in a completely different community in a completely different place, I put out another theory. Once again, I was near immediately shut down, told I was wrong. They at least had some sort of explanation, but for the most part they just shut me down and told me I was wrong.

I was hurt, lost. I felt that if I theorized anything, thought anything, I would be hated, told I was wrong, be berated and yelled at. Just for thinking, for theorizing, for having fun. In my mind, if I couldn’t theorize, then I couldn’t create. If I couldn’t create, that meant I couldn’t do any form of art, which included stories and any sort of drawing.

For months I was hurting, the only person I could turn to being our friend. When I tried to do anything creative or theorist wise, I would always hesitate or stop entirely. It caused me physical pain to even try. There were even times when I would cry because I wanted to return to theorizing, to creating so bad, but I felt that I couldn’t. They listened to me cry and comforted me because I wanted to return to that but was afraid to.

Eventually I found I could draw again. But when I drew, the art felt hollow - at least it did to me. I was excited that I could do art again but it just… never felt right. Even when did “draw this in your own style” stuff, it didn’t feel right.

I don’t even remember what happened, what video caused it, but one day I finally wrote a theory. Specifically, it was the Convergence theory. But I was so scared about what I was talking about and that I would be shut down again that I felt like I had to show my proof, show that I knew what I was talking about. I pointed out specific videos and discussions and Instagram posts. Heck, I even put up the pictures of the discord channel as well as my proof as to the channel’s naming.

Because I was scared.

After I wrote that theory, I was tired. I was so worn down. It was all because I felt like I had to prove myself. Like I had to show the world that I had something solid to back me up. Our friend could tell you that while I was proud of myself, I was exhausted and had one hell of a headache. (To be completely honest, I’m surprised at how well the Convergence theory is still holding up three years later with the I.R.I.S. lore? Like what?)

Ever since, I’ve rarely done theories - maybe having done a couple here and there, but not many. If I theorize, I’ve almost never written them down, I’ve just said them out loud. But I’m able to draw again, and I can write stories again. But I’ve never been able to really feel proud of myself, feel completely happy with anything I’ve done. All because of that fear of failure as an artist, creator, and theorist.

Then you came around. You looked at my theories. You were willing to bounce off of me. Counter me with “… but this… and because of…” rather than just “No and I won’t say why.” You’ve helped me with relearning and accepting my theorist side. The fact that we can bounce theories off of each other has helped me to think about things again. Our friend can tell you this. I still don’t theorize like I used to, but to know that I’ve actually somewhat met people who understand what I’m talking about, who accept me and my theories and thoughts? It helps to ease the process and the want to write them down again.

So I say to you again, thank you.

Ayo, what? An Ace Attorney fangame? Oh hell yeah! I'm totally down for it!

I don’t know if there are any Ace Attorney fans following this account, but in addition to continuing with Glitch (progress is still being made pretty steadily), a few people from SPG have branched off and are making an Ace Attorney fan game as a side project.

It’s currently been in the works for about a month. Taking place after Spirit of Justice, this game will feature 5 new cases, 4 of which will be written by Dev Katie with a little bit of help from Dev Sushi. Although things are subject to change, the game’s opening scene is available to watch, to get an idea of whether or not you’d be interested. There’s no pressure to watch or play it, but it’s a side project that has been a lot of fun for us.

Wait... This works on migraines?! I've been dealing with migraines since my highschool years! I'm keep this saved on my phone. I don't know what causes my migraines yet but I'd give these little tricks a shot.

Okay I’m currently furious that migraines are often so blindly easy to treat and I had to find this out myself at the age of 26 when I’ve been to a neurologist since I was 11 lol so I’m about to teach you two neat and fast little tricks to deal with pain!

The first is the sternocleidomastoid muscle, or the SCM muscle.

This big red section is responsible for pain around the eye, cheekbone, and jaw, as well as some temple pain. Literally all you have to do is angle your head down a little, angle it away from the side that hurts, and then you can gently pinch and rub that muscle. I find it best to start at the bottom and travel upwards. The relief is so immediate! You can increase pressure as you feel comfortable doing so.

The second is a fast and easy stretch that soothes your vagus nerve, which is the nerve responsible for calming you down. The vagus nerve, for those unfamiliar, is stimulated by deep breathing such as yawning, sighing, singing, or taking a deep breath to calm your anger in a tense situation.

You can stretch this out by sitting up as straight as possible (this does not have to be perfect to work) and interlacing your fingers. Put your hands on the back of your head with your thumbs going down the sides of your neck and, while keeping your face forward, look all the way to one side with just your eyes. Hold that until you feel the urge to breathe deeply or yawn, or until you can tell there’s a change. Then do the same thing on the other side. When you put your arms down, you should clearly be able to turn your head farther in both directions. If the first session doesn’t get rid of your migraine, rest and repeat as many times as necessary. I even get a little fancy with it and roll my eyes up and down along the outer edge sometimes to stretch as much as I can.

If you need a visual here’s a good video on it. I know some of the language they use seems questionable but this is real and simple science and should not be discarded because it’s been adopted by the trendy wellness crowd!

I seriously cannot believe I didn’t hear a word of this from any doctor in my life. Additionally, if you get frequent recurring migraines, you may want to see a dietician. Migraines can be caused by foods containing histamines, lectin, etc. and can also be caused by high blood pressure in specific situations such as exercise, stress, and even sex.

I just thought of something...

I was just listening to the Argentum Inanis audio again...

Yes, I know, why did I do it after spending literal hours listening to it while editing it to try to make it clear. Well it's less about making it clear this time, as I just only listened to the original audio of it from my own post.

It has nothing to do with what was said... instead this realization actually aimed to WHO said it.

Duh, who said it? Anti. Who else could it be, haha, right?

Well...

What if it was Argentum Inanis that said it? Well half of it at least.

In the video when Marvin places his hand on the orb to look at the events that have happened or will happen (depending on when Marvin saw all of this)... We hear Anti do his infamous giggle.

BUT

The first one to speak to Marvin was not Anti persay but Argentum. The one that says "Do you want him back, Marvin?" was an growling echo. Which isn't all that surprising, Anti's voice growls and warps as he glitches out the audio whenever he shows up, especially when overly emotional in anger or taunting. At least in the past but we come to understand that Anti is much more stable than before. The thing is about that is even with the growling echo... it still closer to Anti's normal voice.

This one... was much more warped than usual. And it's making me think that Argentum spoke directly to Marvin before Anti cuts in with the "There's time" line.

And if that's true then Argentum did possess a body to go rampant as Anti. Or at least made Anti his Avatar and Argentum is taunting Marvin from his own space while letting him see what Anti is doing.

This spooks Marvin... at first you think he pulled away because of what he sees having been done or will be done... but likely the fact the creature in the book SPOKE to him directly. And he probably pulled away to avoid looking at Argentum, in case the massive ball of eyes and runes was to pop up on him in the orb.

Did Anti truly take possession of Marvin? It was implied by Sean and Robin... implied but not confirmed or denied.

Or did Marvin make a deal with Argentum to stop Anti at the cost of burning the book?

omg THANK YOU! I had NO IDEA how to fix it and I just repeatedly place and removed the hyperlink several times to get it to work and it was so freaking annoying.

im super curious how you fixed the url glitch?

If anyone’s curious, this is referring to the “mce_temp_url” glitch that fills all your new edited links with that instead of the link you put in after you click save on your blog edit function, which causes you to reroute back to the page of your blog with the links on it, not the link itself.

This reminds me it’s a good idea to put out an instruction list on how to fix it so others know too!

How to fix tumblr’s stupid #mce_temp_url# glitch

It took me a good many tries but eventually I realised the glitch happened under very specific conditions, i.e. if you save your theme edit page immediately after making or editing a link. There’s a foolproof way around this, namely by typing more after you finish linking.

1. In theme editor, go to the page you want to edit in your blog (tags or masterlist or whatever) and link your tags or stories as usual.

2. This is usually the point you would click “update preview” and then “save.” Don’t. If you click these two buttons now, you will have non-functioning links for all the links you just edited.

3. Press enter under the last link you updated/added. Type something. Doesn’t have to be anything important. “Placeholder for tumblr glitch” is a good one.

4. Click “update preview” and then “save.” Do not click save without clicking update preview, or sometimes your edited stuff doesn’t show up.

5. Exit theme editor. Check if your links are working. They should be. Go back into the theme editor and delete that extra line. (if you don’t want to have to go into editor twice, typing a random sentence first and then deleting it after you’re finished with your last link sometimes works too).

Yay! Happy days!

Before this, I was re-editing links three times or more to get them to work. I’ve been writing a lot of short fics recently and it was murder trying to get them all onto my (already quite long) masterlist. This method allows you to link them all at once, like before.
