Summary:

“Don’t worry,” the platinum haired vampire let out a chuckle, “it’s not the first time in my life I’ve been covered in blood like this.”

Vanitas turned to face his partner for the first time since the end of the amusement park fight. Blue eyes didn’t blink.

“Though,” as Noé continued laughter shook strands of white hair onto his forehead, “it is the first time the blood is my own.” Noé’s residual smile slowly melted as concern slowly froze into his face.

Vanitas asks Noé to tell him why he was covered in blood once as a child. He is grossly unprepared for the answer, and Noé is unprepared for what Vanitas will ask of him after.

Summary:

Noé was in love with Vanitas. That was not a secret. Not to the vampire or the human. He had been for a while. And that was also not a secret.

The amethyst-eyed vampire had decided he couldn’t take it any longer and confessed his feelings to his best friend and partner.

Vanitas just stared back at him in shock. The intense current flowing into his irises making them an impossibly bright shade of electric blue.

“Mon ami, I’m sorry. I don’t feel the same.”

Noé must come to terms with the fact that Vanitas will never love him back. And that sometimes you need to know when it’s time to leave.

Summary:

“I will never understand why you want to know everything about me.”

Noé blinked open his eyes and watched Vanitas speak.

“But,” words stuck in his throat he didn’t know how to properly string together, “I don’t know if you’d want to stay if I told you.”

Noé held Vanitas’ waist in one arm but lifted his chin with the other. Those beautiful sapphires staring back at him.

“I can wait.” Noé smiled. That stupid genuine smile again. “Vanitas, I will always wait for you.”

Vanitas, hoping to hide the pink rising in his cheeks, nervously looked away for a few moments until he spoke.

“But there is a way for you to know my past without me needing to find the words.” Vanitas immediately looked away, guilt written all across his face.
