I just want to clarify on this post. I am not curious as to whether people in the years 2277,2287 etc make music, I know they do. I am curious as to what of our universes music exists in the Fallout universe.
Do you think modern music exists in the Fallout universe? Like I know it’s based in a diverged timeline but it still has things from our universe. Country Roads, Take me Home was recorded and released in 1971 which means that any music released before 1971 must be canon in the Fallout universe, right? There’s even a direct reference to Elton John and his song Rocket Man (released in 1972) in Fallout 2. And I mean a direct obvious reference. So surely more modern music exists in the Fallout universe?
Of course I know in the actual games, there’s an aesthetic to keep and licensing issues, etc, etc. But in the reality of the games I do think that modern music, up until at least 1972, is canon in the Fallout universe.

My part for the collab organized by @theluckiebeebles on Instagram.
It’s a summer/beach themed collab.
Marie loves the beach. Growing up in Massachusetts you spend a lotta time there.
Nick on the other hand is not so fond of the beach. Water doesn’t mix well with robotics. In his own words, “I can’t imagine what being out here is doing to my circuitry.”
But he’ll go for Marie, as long as he isn’t expected to go near the water.

I realized recently that I really haven’t done enough art of Nick so I’ve been on a kick recently.
Enjoy my self indulgent shipping art.

“What’s the matter , kid? Scared’a ghouls?”
New piece of Chuck. I am steadily getting back into my natural art talents. Developing my own style. It’s been a good journey and I’ve still got a long way to go. But I’m enjoying it.

Describing Nick’s junk as “his synthetic manhood” is probably the best thing I’ve ever written.

My new Fallout collectors pieces. Plus, my whole collection.
I have a few favorite items in the collection. I love my Mothman figure that I actually bought at the Mothman Museum in West Virginia. I was lucky enough to go to Point Pleasant in 2018. Both my Nick Valentine figures, of course. My Nuka Cola Quantum, which I had two of, but my cat broke the other. And my Fallout Protection guide that I got from my papa. It’s a real guide booklet on how to prepare for and cope with nuclear fallout. It was distributed by the U.S Department of Defense in 1961.
My fiancé and I are moving soon and when we do I’m going to be setting up a nice and proper display for these guys. I’ve got some posters I just don’t have room for right now. But when I get them set up it’s gonna be awesome.

Been playing Fallout 4 tonight and this came to me and I had to write it down.
Just some stupid interaction.
“You know that reminds me,” Nick said suddenly “Of one of the first interactions I had with Chuck.” Marie looked up from her papers and rested her chin on her hands. “Oh yeah?” She mumbled lazily. Nick nodded, taking a drag from his cigarette and placing it in the ash tray. “It was in the vault, with Malone. We got into a pretty nasty fight with some triggerman and Chucks face got bashed in pretty bad. Lotta blood. He came over to me and spat a bunch of blood and a tooth on the ground.” Nick rubbed his chin between his fingers “I asked him if he was alright and he just seemed confused by my question. I said to him ‘you just spat out a tooth, are you okay?’ and he just stared at me, said it wasn’t his and pulled his mouth open to show me he still had all his teeth.” Nick picked his cigarette back up, inhaled another puff of smoke and returned to his book. Marie stared in amazement at him. She turned her eyes to Charles. “Charles what the fuck?”

I write two (2) types of fanfiction:
(Type 1) Everything must be as canon as possible.
(Type 2) The canon does not even exist to me.
