Jinx is a friendship group consisting of 3 fictional female 00 liners from different co-ed kpop groups; TXT’s Yuki, ATEEZ’s Amanda, and SEVENTEEN’s Vivi

she first met yuki at hanlim after amanda transfer in 2017

the two were seatmates so they were literally inseparable in school

often have sleepovers at the each other dorms when they were trainees under the excuse of doing “homework”

due to busy schedules the two don’t get to meet up often

but the two are always keep in touch and even mention the other in interviews and livestreams

they give yeonjun and wooyoung a run for their money tbh

now when they do meet up they usually go on food dates mostly bc amanda is making sure yuki is eating and taking care of herself

similar personalities, food taste, etc.

moatiny calls them soulmates for how alike the two are

iconic moment: amanda has mention that neither of them initiate physical touch so the first time they actually hugged each other was backstage at kcon 2019 after not seeing each other in a long time. both said that the hug was sweet but it was really awkward after bc they realize they never had hugged before

vivi has been friends w/ yuki for years after meeting her through their friends in i.o.i

yuki was constantly telling amanda that she should met vivi bc she thought they would get along

and ofc amanda wanted to bc she loves svt and especially vivi but everytime they tried to, plans always fall through

but two eventually met w/o yuki's help as vivi played a little role in helping amanda and jeonghan finally get together 👀

they later texted a pic of them together to yuki

one looking like a softie and the other looking mean when it's actually the opposite

vivi always invites amanda to go see haunted houses, scary movies, etc.

each other safe place as they both understand the harsh criticism for not fitting into korean beauty standards

iconic moment: when amanda called vivi to wish her happy birthday but she didn't know vivi was on vlive and said "happy birthday bitch!" the second vivi picked up

The Trio Overall

friendship name came about as all the girls had been called jinx by many kneitzen bc they were thought to bring bad luck/ruin their groups for being the only girl member

it hard the the trio to meet up due to hectic schedules but when they do they usually go out for drinks

basically alcoholics

venting to each about the struggles of being the only girl in their groups

constant innuendos and cursing at each other

convo usually end up w/ them mixing between languages (korean, english and spanish) and they don’t even realize they are doing it bc it’s so normal for them

vivi always reminding the two she their sunbaenim even though she the youngest of them

going to each other concerts

you know girls supporting girls

they became a such popular friendship group in the kpop industry that they were invited to perform a special stage at the 2020 kbs song festival where they performed a melody of kpop gg songs

and even later debuted as a group in 2021

Yuki's Background

disclaimer: like always this is all purely fiction. although i'm writing my oc as mina's younger sister, i know absolutely nothing about twice's mina's family, so anything i'm writing about the family in this is purely to help build my character's personality.

↳ Childhood:

she was born in San Antonio, Texas, United States before moving to japan when she was toddler with her family

growing up she kind of felt like an outcast in the family

she was always being compared to her siblings and their achievements especially to her sister

so she was always trying to be the perfect daughter and attempted to overachieve in everything she did

even though she was constantly pitted against her sister, the two are very close

she has done ballet for 8 years

she was often bullied in school for her height and leaky body

when she was 14 she began a relationship w/ a fellow high school student in japan

however the relationship was extremely toxic

the guy was very controlling and made her insecure about her image

though the relationship ended, it still left an impact on her mentally as she developed depression

she was also scouted by JYP along with her sister in 2013 but her parents didn’t want her to be a trainee at such a young age so she didn't join her sister in auditioning

however in 2015, she got permission from her parents to audition for jyp through the online auditions with the promise of continuing school in korea if she got in

she went through jyp's online auditions and passed w/ shinee's selene 6.23

missing her opportunity to join sixteen the survival show that created twice, she joined produce 101 along side w/ now soloist somi

she ended up placing 2nd on the show and debuted w/ i.o.i in 2016

after i.o.i disbanded in 2017, she only stay w/ jyp for a couple more months before deciding to leave the company

her departure from the company was mainly bc of mistreatment

she was limited in showcasing her true talent and her music creativity bc she was a foreigner

she was scouted by staff from Big Hit when she was leaving school

she initially thought the person was a stalker and avoided them but the scouter kept coming back and she eventually realized it was a recruiter

she was scouted by multiple agency's including SM and YG

but she ultimately decided to join BigHit since she was a huge fan BTS and was promise more freedom in music production

she was originally suppose to debut with a girl group but in early 2018 hybe suddenly decided to have her debut with txt since she had already build a friendship with some of the members

when it was announced she’d be debuting with tomorrow x together, it was a big deal and many people were excited about it

no one knew what happen to her after she it was announce she terminated her contract with jyp and her fanbase had been anticipated her debut

she has been praise for by many professionals for being an all rounder idol

bae yoon-jeong mention that yuki has developed much fluidity in her dancing, meaning she can smoothly transition from one movement to another throughout your dance moves
