A few more pieces I completed at the Spring Hills Farm art retreat. Lots of layers in these which started mostly with rage charcoal drawings in reaction to current events including Uvlade & Roe. But then much was added and scratched out. Grief combined with the unending natural beauty of the farm in summer. Aching heart but bursting with beauty all around...such is life I guess in this human experience and these are my reactions. Contradictions abound. mixed media on waxed paper 25x36

Rest in peace Margaret, a mentor & role model I’ve connected with more than any other woman in my life.
I attend an art workshop every June at Spring Hills Farm in Pennsylvania. This is one of the pieces I completed there. Starting to step out of my comfort zone and improvise .. .

"...and I tell Violet . . . daddy is in my heart and in your heart and in the wind. When I want to remember him . . . when we are outside, going for a walk and there's wind gusts or if I go out to the back yard on a windy day i feel the wind and i image it's him saying hello.
