What I really enjoyed was that it is always done with love and respect and the author lets us know what the Dom and the Sub get out of this. Jesus, those scenes are incredibly hot. I’m also a fan of aftercare done right, which is where the schmoop in this story comes in. Jared’s all grown up now and and the adventure in that world is long over but not forgotten when this story brings Jensen and Jared into contact again. I had read this story a while ago and as sometimes happens lost it. But I never forgot about this sexy Biker AU and now that I have found it again I immediately wanted to rec it. This story delivers on the promise of the setting and a dangerous, tattooed Jensen is always fun. The ending didn’t quite convince me, but that just took it from an A to a B+. Enjoy the ride! -Myri

Review: This was my first foray into the world of sports AU’s. I have since read many but nothing came close to this massive work. Being from Europe I have very little knowledge of the actual game but I managed to follow what was going on just fine. The link above leads to the whole Verse on AO3, 7 fics in total. I recommend reading them in order, the summary is from part 3 the “main story”. This story once more pits the boys against each other. Jensen as the experienced QB for the Dallas Cowboys and Jared as the eager, talented rookie that just might take Jensen’s job. What follows is not the clichéd story of hate at first sight turned into burning love with hot sex in the locker room that you might expect. Pianoforeplay takes her time with developing this story and gives her characters time to breathe, make a lot of mistakes and finally grow enough that by the end you feel they have earned their happy ending through blood, sweat and tears. And I was along for the ride and suffered right along with them through all the wins and all the losses. This one is truly remarkable. -Myri

Review: It is time for sports Au’s my friends! Now Tennis is not too interesting to me – I’ve watched some games but my heart was never in it. Well, lazy_daze actually had me on the edge of my seat a few times with this one and she was just describing the matches in a freaking fic! She just managed to infuse the matches between Jensen and Jared with so much sexual tension and meaning that I was as into it as the boys. And talking about sexual tension: Whew! I have read few fics with sex scenes as angry, competitive and just downright unf! as these. I would rec this fic just for that but the love story itself manages to be kind of sweet too and if you don’t go aww at the ending you have no heart basically. I think I’ll give Wimbledon another shot this summer.-Myri

Review: A J2 pornstar AU. That was really all the incentive I needed to check this one out. And if you’ve followed my reviews a little you will know by now that my mouth begins to water when a fic has more than 50 k words. If you’re looking for PWP (porn with plot) this is not the fic for you. Sure the main pairing gets in on often enough to really earn that explicit rating but this fic is about more than that. This feels more like a romantic comedy with thriller elements thrown in that just happens to involve a pornstar. It wasn’t that hard to figure out who the stalker was, but the writing is good, the characters sparkle and I loved the addition of the usual J2 fic suspects and the pairings are kind of funny. Definitely one of the better stories in this genre. But please go check it out for yourselves! -Myri

Review: Woohoo! I’m back and I’m bringing you fic! Death lore is endlessly interesting to me and I do a happy dance every time Supernatural does something with the topic. And of course Death is one of my favourite characters. So I was pretty much in this author’s corner when I read the summary. And telling you anything more about the plot would seriously spoil you for a really fun and dramatic ride. The Summary kind of makes it clear that Dean is Sam’s Reaper and the author does a fantastic job of teasing out the why and the how. This is my favourite kind of Wincest AU. You catch glimpses of canon here and there but the story twists and turns just enough to keep you on your toes. The only drawback for me was the lack of smut. A little frottage here and there does not earn an explicit rating in my book. Still, don’t let that keep you from reading this great story. We can get smut anytime, great storytelling like this is a lot harder to find. – Myri
