*firmly grabbing all beginner artists by the shoulders* you have to embrace inconsistency. inconsistency is good because it means you are learning. if you focus too hard on making all your art look the same you are really just holding yourself back and forcing yourself to make the same mistakes rather than develop and grow. style and consistency can come later on when your grasp on the fundamentals is stronger. now take this juice box and get out there and make some art.

Serious posting, one cool thing about Celsius for me (and this is not to be taken as it somehow "making more sense" or "being more human-centric" because that is asinine) as a person who lives in a part of the world where we actually get cold, snowy winters: having the reference point of 0 at exactly the freezing point of water is useful, because it's the difference between "do I have to worry about slipping and falling and breaking my ass on my way to work tomorrow" and, uh, not having to do that

Someone recently posted about how Tumblr clout doesn't actually translate into anything in real life, it just means X amount of people read your post, so what's the point?
I mean besides the fact that some people actually use their posts for good, like activism and combating misinformation, there's just posting for the sake of posting which is its own reward.
But also, sometimes you'll make an impression with your fucked up posting that someone decides to send you a DM to talk to you about elves or a podcast or a podcast about elves or something and now you've made a new best friend :)
