New Moon in Cancer: Preparing for What's to Come

Happy New Moon/Eclipse in Cancer! This new moon joins us today July 2 at 3:16 pm EST. With this moon passing through the 9th House, some of us may be getting hit with some experiences carried with some important lessons that are imperative for our next chapter in our lives. The 9th House is about wisdom, philosophy, and travel. At the time of this new moon/eclipse you may be experiencing something that is teaching you something valuable right now. Even if you don’t see it right now, it’s there. This can be an emotionally cleansing time, opening us up to new ways of living and thinking. Take on that hobby. Read that book. Plan that passion project. We have a lot of planets in the 9th House right now in Cancer: North Node, Mercury, Moon, and Mars. With this 9th House being the focus, we’re given the opportunity to explore, both literally and figuratively. Some of us may be traveling, some of us may be learning new topics or philosophies that can help expand our minds. A lot of us may have felt this heavy energy that we know something new is coming, but we may not know what. This New Moon/Eclipse invites us to explore that. Once we step into that energy of exploration, that’s usually when what we’re seeking meets us. This cancer moon simply asks us to surrender and be open, and remain gentle with ourselves within that process.

Aura Cleansing: What can you use to cleanse?

Hello queens (and kings if you're reading. How y'all doin?)!

I am very excited to announce, that I will be contributing to The Sage Series, offering holistic health pro tips for the body all around (food intake, skincare, hair, nails, mood elevation, etc ), as well as tips on how to remain grounded spiritually. I believe that I have been blessed with an abundance profound wisdom, so it's only right that I give back by blessing others with what I know. Now that the ice is broken, let's get into today's topic: Aura Cleansing.

 So many of us in the spiritual world have already been hip to herbal aura cleansing; but when it comes to being a light worker, and dabbing I to other sources, personally, I believe it's a gift that only few are allowed to possess. Unfortunately though, there has been this new wave of "spirituality," and folks are steadily hopping on the bandwagon without a single bit of permission from God and/or their ancestors to be out here claiming to be a "light worker..." because of that, we've got a problem not only within the spaces that are being led by false prophets, but the resources used for cleansing purposes, are becoming scarce, specifically, Palo Santo. Being a light worker, a space free of uncertain energy is a must in order to fully connect.

Of course, anyone can be spiritual, in fact, I encourage it. All I am saying is, be real, and be mindful. Because spirituality has become so commercial, there has been a sudden rush for Palo Santo. Typically grown in Peru, only the trees and branches that die and fall naturally are allowed to be harvested, but due to over harvesting, Palo Santo is now on the endangered list. The tree has recently been added to the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) as a result.

So, the next time you are checking out via Amazon Prime or at your local Urban Outfitters, please be mindful of the fact that the Palo Santo you are about to purchase is probably an over harvested chunk of wood that hasn't even properly distributed, and you will not feel any of its wonderful spiritual benefits.

*I also want to note that white sage is on its way to the endangered list as well.

New Moon in Gemini: Authenticity thru Communication

Happy New Moon in Gemini! This New Moon joined us today at 6:01 am EST. With this moon passing through the 9th house of Philosophy and travel/expansion, we are being presented an opportunity to expand our thoughts and ideas, in order to communicate them clearly and authentically. What ideas/visions do you have and how can you manifest them properly? How can you dedicate more of yourself to the priorities in your life? What needs your focus at this time? At this moon, it is a good time to sit with some ideas you have and implement some mini goals to get you closer to the vision you have. The 9th house can be about growth as well (expansion). What lessons are being presented to you for your growth? How can you implement them? If you have been feeling the urge to share more of your ideas and creations to the world, this is the perfect time to do so! Start that book, blog, website, youtube channel, whatever it may be while the fire is hot. At least start journaling on these ideas. How can you collaborate with other people that align with your end goal? Spirit wants us to show more of ourselves to the world, especially if we are in a field that gives us attention. How can you market yourself differently? What stands out about you? How can you be authentic in how you showcase yourself to the world? Some things to keep in mind.

Use this new moon to reflect or set intentions on things pertaining to your expansion and where you see yourself at the same time next year. Or you can plan further ahead….whatever works.

New Moon in Taurus: Eyes on the Prize

Happy New Moon in Taurus! This New Moon joins us May 4 at 6:45pm EST, in the 7th House. This house is about comfort, partnership, and relating. This is a grounding time allowing us to connect with people on the same path as us, whether romantically and professionally. With the moon being in a fixed sign following a cardinal (Aries), we are being guided to direct our focus now that we initiated something. Where we direct our focus is up to us. Now that we got our foot in the door, what’s the next step? Maybe relating to partnering with other people can help us sort that out. This can help bring our sense of purpose to fruition. Ultimately, this moon gives us the chance to align ourselves with ventures, people, and opportunities that match our value and what we want for ourselves.

With Saturn in retrograde, this boosts the Taurus New Moon with our focus being on responsibility and change in how we view or approach it. There is a major opportunity for growth right now, and the tension can make us feel uncomfortable. We can use these energies to create a structure within a partnership or towards a goal you have. Either way this energy wants us to get real. A lot of us are going through a transformation in our overall stability and where we stand in our lives. We may feel like we’re not where we want to be or should be, and it’s weighing heavy on us, especially with Saturn at home in Capricorn. This can serve as a healthy push if we honor where we are, and move forward. Baby steps are still steps. It’s time to get clear on some long-term goals and where you see yourself in 5-10 years. Short-term goals too, because they are the building blocks to your long term goals. Full Moon in Libra: The Blueprint

Happy Full Moon in Libra! This lovely moon joined us on March 20 at 9:42 pm in 0 degrees.  This moon is passing through the 4th House.  This moon allows us to focus on how we can make the intangible, tangible.  We are being presented a clear opportunity to start anew in a  multitude of ways.  This moon is passing through the 4th House of Home, giving us the chance to check in on things that mean the most to us.  With the sign of Libra being associated with balance and partnerships, it could be a good time to check in on who you surround yourself with or resonate with.  This Full Moon acts as a blueprint, a vision of what lies ahead for us as we tread newer waters.  We are now out of Pisces season, stepping into a new astrological year.  As we enter Aries season, we are given the opportunity to be clear   on what we want, how we want it, and what we can do to attain it.  Aries is a cardinal sign, so it’s all about getting shit started. This Full Moon is basically asking us, “what do you want?”  With Mercury sextile Saturn, this heightens the moon’s message by guiding us to reflect on our desires/goals, allowing for new ways of thinking to come through.  Our sense of responsibility and discipline is growing, which is perfect for this Libra moon’s theme of building foundations.

This moon is giving us the incentive to re-calibrate our beliefs and how we manifest them with this Pisces-Virgo connection. With the full moon passing through the 4th house, we are coming back home to ourselves. The Hermit tarot card is associated with the Virgo sign, representing a journey within, in solitude. What journey are you about to embark on? What wisdom have you gained thus far? It’s time we turn our acts of service inward. Serve yourself, serve your Spirit. Happy Full Moon in Cancer! This comforting moon joined us December 22 at 12:48 pm EST. This moon is passing through the 4th House of Foundation and Family. This is a good time to check in on how far we’ve come, and seeing the foundation we’ve created for ourselves. How do you want to enter in 2019? With the Full Moon coming in at 0 degrees, this is highly symbolic of a restart. This is a good time to check in on who you want to bring into the New Year with. With the full moon being in a cardinal sign, there is a high energy of approaching a new life, or something that makes us comfortable; something that reminds us of home. With 2018 coming to a close, it’s a good time to check in on our inventory to see what is worthy of coming with us on our journey. With both Venus and the moon trine Neptune, there’s energy present for us to step out on faith and really put our best food forward. We get to dream about what brings us joy the most, and to manifest how we can bring more of that into our lives. Mercury conjunct to Jupiter in Sagittarius boosts this energy by allowing us to expand our ideas and make them more concrete by taking the necessary steps towards them. What do you want in 2019? How are you going to make it happen? What’s the game plan? Be willing to step into 2019 with the mind for adventure, learning, and wisdom! The New Moon is passing through the 10th House aka Midheaven, allowing us to refresh our manifestations and maybe even invite new opportunities/experiences into our lives. The 10th House represents our reputations, our careers, what we did with our lives basically. This is the perfect time to define or re-define what success means to you, and what you want to accomplish while you’re here. It’s time to live our lives freely and purposefully. Sagittarius is an adventurous and open-minded sign, in a way way the energy is always present to learn and attain wisdom from what is being learned. What direction is your life going in? Is it where you want to go? This is the perfect time to set some long term goals for yourself, and doing some ground work. What is something you want to study? What talent do you have that you need to mold and invest more of yourself into? What direction is your soul pulling you to?
