Oh just my little outlet for my love of fantasy 25, she/her, hella bi, gonna steal all them hugs and cuddles, but only if you want them. consent is important!
Had a dorky thought while doing my workout this morning. We all know about the Sun rune on the Orphan Queen’s logo.
We’ve probably all noticed that the royal colors of Katolis and Lux Aurea are the same: red and gold.
The OQ and Harrow do have similar skin tones and even braid appearance.
But consider one more crucial (and tasty) piece of evidence that the Orphan Queen is connected to Katolis somehow (because who doesn’t daydream about yeasty goodness while they’re working out before breakfast):
The Banther Lodge, the homey winter getaway for Katolis’s royalty, stocks French bread.
Hon hon baguette, my dudes. janai please don’t kill me
Devon Giehl once asked if we could get the wonderful Jonathan Holmes to say ‘I love you’ as Runaan to Ethari , but it was already after the interview. So, for her birthday, I asked a favor of Jonathan and he was happy to help! Happy Birthday once again, Devon!
In a hypothetical future where Callum and Rayla have had a child, how long will it be before said child has you completely wrapped around their finger? 2.3 seconds after the birth is my guess :D
You underestimate my power. I was very protective of Tiadrin when she was pregnant. I will pester Callum to let me guard Rayla 24/7 in case she gets a splinter, before I even meet her child.
Here’s something that caught my eye: when we are introduced to the Moon Nexus, we get the sense that this was once an important cultural center to the Moonshadow elves.
It may be ruins now, but once it was home to the Moonhenge, where fantastic rituals were performed by the Moon Druids, perhaps even opening portals to a world between life and death.
The Sun Nexus is located in the Sun Forge. There, the Sunfire elves constructed an entire city around it, making the Forge the center of their civilization. Lux Aurea was built at the place where Sun Primal Energy is at its most pure.
But when we see the Sky Nexus, we find…nothing.
It’s bare. Just a modest antechamber for the Dragon Queen. Besides Ibis (who’s only there temporarily), there are no other elves.
The land below is similarly empty. Untouched by elves.
So, where are the Skywing elves?
That got me thinking about the lifestyle that Skywing elves likely have. Sunfire elves congregate in opulent cities to take full advantage of the sun’s power. Moonshadow elves congregate in little villages, enjoying both the Moon’s light and the forests’ shadow.
But Skywing elves don’t congregate anywhere. They can’t. Sky Magic is strongest in a storm, but unlike the Sun and Moon, storms don’t follow a preordained, consistent cycle.
So instead they migrate–much like birds do–to follow the changes in cold fronts, jet streams, and storms. They’ll never stay in any one place for too long, and though they might have some temples and monuments–and other stable locations–throughout the world, they will literally go where the wind takes them.
Skywing elves, as it may turn out, are nomads.
We get a bit of a sense of what that’s like through Nyx.
She lives mostly atop an Amble, and we see that she keeps most of her things on its mount. Ocassionally, she (and possibly other Skywing elves) might stop at the magically-protected oasis in the middle of the Midnight Desert. Nyx sleeps in nothing more than a sleeping bag, and is always on the move.
Other Skywing elves are probably less solitary, but even so, I imagine they would form temporary communities. Likely on mountaintops, wind exposed islands, the shores, and elsewhere.
Anyway, those are my thoughts. Let me know what you all think!
TDP HC: Ezran loves babysitting Rayllum baby. He even takes the baby to council meetings sometimes and everyone always seems to quite down when the baby is present. Ezran does use this to his advantage, but only sometimes.😂
Haha! Ez is going to be the awesome uncle that spoils the baby.
Don’t know if you still want headcannons, but I think Ethari would make small gifts for Runaan (little models of animals, ornate knives or arrows, metal flowers, etc.) and Runaan would try desperately to get Ethari something incredible like he deserves, and sometimes Rayla would butt into it. (Sorry if I’m bugging you.)
Ah! This is soooooo cute!!!! Runaan is lucky to have a creative husband!
