Aww I forgot I posted them on here 🥰. The kids be killing it. Texas cowgirl Kortnee Solomon, who's mostly featured here (photos: 4, 7, 12, and the last one), been a pro having competed in rodeo at age 5, being a fourth-generation rider, and making history competing in the first televised Black Rodeo, the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo Showdown. A family of riders.

Black American Cowboys, Cowgirls & Rodeo - Kids Edition
A long-standing tradition dating back to the 1800s.
This song is hypnotic. 3/4 time signature; jazz-infused; polyphonic elements; mesmeric vocal display from the glissandos to the harmonies; the nuances in her phrasing and vibrato; the overall rich, dreamy timbre that makes you feel like you're floating if you close your eyes while listening. The way the MF bass and drums are talking as the delicate keys slip in like raindrops. I'm not really a chart person, but why TF is this not #1? This song would need to sit there for weeks. It's a perfect record. I need to see her perform this in person because I already know it would turn into a jam session.
