i got tagged by @enchantedlandcoffee (ty for always thinking of me w these!!) for a fic snippet. here's one from a fic i've been writing on the side but am beginning to love n get loads of ideas for. im not entirely sure how to describe this fic cos there's a lot going on, but im just writing it with the intention that i want to feel destroyed whilst doing so lol <3
There’s a silence between them, and it cuts like tiny incisions made with a blunt knife with each passing second.
"I'm happy, Harry," Louis says in a small voice after a few minutes. "I thought you would be, too."
Harry swallows. His childish pride simmers for the tone and delicacy of Louis' voice. "I am," he stretches. It's the biggest lie he's ever told, and the weight of it crushes his tongue. He lifts his heavy eyes towards Louis'. None of this feels right. With twisted words, Harry asks, "Does he treat you right?"
"Yeah."

“We’re not fucking each other, right?”
“We’re not,” Louis' tone falters, his voice making him sound uncharacteristically unsure and surprised at H’s admission. He gives more justification, lowering his voice in aid to sound more in control of the conversation. “You’re my client, remember?"
“And you’re my boss.”
Louis moves swiftly away from the door, eyes narrowing. H must be a fucking elephant with the memory they seem to have because they have an awful habit of regurgitating half of Louis’ old sentences to him. Their cheek makes the hair on Louis’ neck stand up, his teeth grinding down in sheer irritation.
“He had no place on that set.”
“And you have no right to tell my mate to fuck off.”
“Mate?” Louis laughs sharply, “your mate was just as entitled as you were coming onto my set like that. Who the fuck does he think he is?”
“Is that your way of asking what he is to me?”
Louis laughs darkly. “Oh, don’t flatter yourself.”
H’s gaze lingers spitefully, looking Louis up and down with a contemptuous smile. “Don’t worry. I wouldn’t waste a second thought on you even if my last breath depended on it.”

thanks @enchantedlandcoffee for tagging me. this is something i've just finished writing down, so it's super raw.
I think i'll do a series like "All the reasons why Oli wants to quit but he won't" (title still to be decided XD), cause i always have so much fun scarring Oli for life 🤭 here's a snippet:
"For fuck sake Louis" He yelled.
He heard Louis startling in his bunk, and he closed his eyes hoping to somehow forget the photo of his best mate spent cock that had been mistakenly sent to him.
Oli would have liked to say that it had been the first time something like that had happened. Oh, how he would have liked that. He wouldn't be on and off thinking about quitting if it had.
Unfortunately he wasn't that lucky. No one was when they were friends with Louis and Harry.
He deleted the photo and went over the other chat, a gc of Louis and Harry's close friends titled 'Oops, they did it again 💦' and quickly typed "🧭 dick photo" before pressing sent.
Yes, he was well aware of how strange it was that they had a group chat solely dedicated to running a tally of how many times Harry and Louis managed to get caught doing something no one wanted to see.
Except maybe Zayn. Maybe Niall too.
He groaned at the realization that he was surrounded by people just as bad as the two lovebirds were. And maybe he wasn't any different cause he was still there, still participating in that twisted competition that he had won for three years running. Six in total.
He had all the trophies to prove it. Harry had made them, cause of course he had.
He groaned again, louder.
The curtain shielding his bunk from the rest of the bus was suddenly yanked out and he came face to face with Louis. At least he was dressed this time.

I'm a bit late, but this is lovely!! Hope you achieve all your goals for the year <3
2024 Writing Goals
The lovely and talented @larry-hiatus tagged me to write down my writing goals for this year. I haven't really thought about it much so let's see haha.
1. Start For My Lovers season 2. I have been writing a few bonus stories but haven't gotten back to the main plot yet and I need to start with that. But it takes a lot of brainstorming and i haven't had the mental capacity to do it yet. So that's my main goal. I don't think I can finish the series this year but we will see.
2. Start up @1dficarchive with my team. We have been working behind the scenes but there's still a lot to do, so I want it to be up and running before February if life is kind.
3. Finish first draft of Secret Pride. I am working on my original fiction book but had to put a big pause on it for uni and ugh I need to get back and finish it. I think Im more than capable of finishing the first draft before 2024.
4. Publish more fics than 2024. Again, because of uni I didn't have the chance to publish as many fics as I wanted this year. 2022 I wrote a LOT but I just want to write more than 11.
5. Host the @1dastroficfest. I like organizing fic fests but I might have to pull back a bit on the fests this year.
I think that's it, I don't have many big goals like last year, I just want to get some fun writing done and work on my future as author.
