Okay, I'm not the first person to notice this -- I can't be -- but isn't it pretty obvious that DC COMPLETELY ripped off the old Dark Horse character of Ghost, the gun-totin' babe with the diaphonous hoodie, when they designed the New 52's Pandora. Not that the new Pandora is a quarter as interesting as the tragic, vengeful character of the dead DH Universe; she's just another whiney immortal who didn't quite deserve and/or regrets her fate (*yawn*). The only immortal DC has that's even vaguely interesting is Vandal Savage, because we've seen him play both sides of the hero/villain thing over the millennia, and he's the only one who actually seems to ENJOY his immortality, bloody-minded or not.  Anyay: DC, dudes, changing color and hiding the cleavage does not a new character make. Do better.

In the New York Times Magazine annual wrap-up of the previous year’s deceased, “The Lives They Lived,” a novel approach was taken for Neil Armstrong who died August 25, 2012. In place of a text-based tribute, they elected to simply display this drawing by artist Tom Sachs. So much has already been written about Armstrong that this is perhaps fitting. In the end, Armstrong may be better remembered for this type of iconic image than for any of his biographical particulars.
