My journey with food and self love ... thus far. 🖤🖤🖤
I am not a health expert, but some things I have learned and come to love on my journey of getting a bit healthier and stronger:
* There is no such thing as bad carbs. It is true. Carbs give us energy. It is all about how much we consume. 5000 calories of boring old salad = 5000 calories of hamburgers and french fries or potato chips... They all the same man!
* Detox = BS. As soon as you put that food in your system, those calories are absorbed. Your body loves fuel. You will just poop out precious water that your body needs.
* Fruit has too much sugar in it. NO... Fruit = fuel and good digestion .
* Eat an apple when you are hungry or drink more water. How about NO. Eat when you are hungry and it is a sandwich you want, eat it and it with love for your body.
* Eating a salad when you are hungry for "real food". Oh boy! By the time night comes you over indulge in what your body really wanted making you feel so bad for stuffing your face.
* Stuffing your face is ok. 😂 Just continue eating like a normal person the next day. There you go, back on track.
* Exercise is not about weight, size, or shape. It is about feeling good, feeling good emotionally.  And becoming fit and strong whether your body is in the shape of a square or a pear. You just feel good.
* Gluten free food = Only for people with a gluten intolerance.
* Sugar free food = Best for diabetic people. Did you know that a sugar free chocolate has the same amount of calories as your normal and delicious Cadburys slab. YIP! Eat the real deal!
* Becoming healthy, losing weight or just becoming stronger is not an overnight deal. So, throw away that scale.
* Judging yourself and your journey based on others progress and appearance ... bad bad idea. Don't judge yourself, praise that person for what they have achieved and use it as motivation for your own journey.
* Don't comment on what people are eating, unless it looks good and you desperately want them to share it with you.
* Stop calling pizza and burgers a cheat meal. It is food it is a meal and you do not have to wait for the weekend to eat it. Eat what you want and when you want to.
* Lastly, you do not have to listen to or take in anything I have said or what I believe in. Do you boo and how you want to go on your journey, just as long as you love yourself and who you are! 🖤
